If there’s anything you want to get, there’s one person you can go to. Folks call him Rat. They say he’s the best smuggler in all of Mikulhart if you’re willing to pay his prices.

They say that on the Eastern Beaches, there’s a huge whale skeleton from the Golden Age. Beyond that, a blind old witch lives. If you get too close she’ll chop you up and use your bones for spells and your meat for stew.

That’s just a story!

Well, the skeleton part is true at least. Not sure about the witch.

“I guess you could call him that,” Alta agreed noncommittally. 

“One could do worse,” Jude said. 

Alta shot a glance up at the man in the black helmet and cape who called himself Prince Rallis. Yes, she thought grimly, I suppose one could.

“Not to mention handsome too,” Jude added lightly. “Vivil! Tall, muscular, nice hair–”

“Jude, be quiet,” Rallis snapped.
