Part three of the Ososan Baika Watan series, from Ichimatsu’s POV. It reveals that Ichimatsu and Jyushimatsu KNOW about Karamatsu posing as Osomatsu, but they refuse to say anything for personal reasons. At the end of the song, Jyushimatsu chose to “jump off the train tracks”, which I interpret as him leaving to try and fix the situation, whereas Ichimatsu chose to “remain standing in the crumbling world”, which means he’ll continue alone to silently watch Karamatsu’s decision tear the family apart. It’s late and I wanna talk about todomatsu

All the matsus r so complex while being so like stupid at the same time but since I’m a totty Stan he is the one I think about constantly

So like it really upsets me how much shit he gets because it’s so unjustified. Do not misunderstand me: he is a bastard but like??? He really isn’t that much worse than any of the other brothers and yet he gets the most shit?? It has always bothered me and here is WHY this is a todomatsu defense post now AN ANTI CALL OUT IF YOU WILL….

Totty and Kara are two sides of the same coin. I’m not the first to say that and it’s because it’s true!!!!!!! And seeing the high school matsus really hammers that home. Totty and Kara both are insecure cry babies who learned to cope by putting on a mask/persona. For karamatsu that is his whole fake air of confidence and overbearing kindness which is literally all fake! I mean he is kind, like that is genuinely a trait of his but he plays it up to a degree that isn’t real. Like we saw in the Kara and bros ep where he tells choro he wants to kill them for walking all over him constantly because they KNOW he can’t say no. He hates it!!! IM OFF TOPIC LOL totty. Todomatsu also has a lot of insecurities he is just better at pretending they don’t exist. His mask is literally just that of a functional human being. And to an extent!!! He is!!! Just like Kara, just because it’s exaggerated and kinda fake doesn’t mean it isn’t just parts of his existing personality he just plays up. And like adding high school totty????? He is apparently lonely. In the art and promotional mascot stuff we see him being shy and hiding behind his brothers. He probably isn’t very good with people outside his family and clings to his brothers out of anxiety surrounding being left alone. Which… isn’t like he is now. In fact it’s kinda the opposite. Now he is outgoing and constantly trying to lose his brothers who keep clinging on to him and like he said “shackling him to hell”. He grew up! But I don’t think his insecurities left at ALL. This boy does not understand the concept of friendship. Like deadass. He doesn’t know what that is. And I KNOW IT WAS FOR A GAG BUT IM IGNORING THAT because he really doesn’t!!!! Have friends!!!! Someone as social as him and yet??? He doesn’t seem to have any close friends??? Like let’s look at the people around him BESIDES his family and people like Iyami and chibita and Totoko etc. We got atsushi and co which? Could be friend candidates but the way totty only brings them up when he need someone for a mixer? Interesting. In fact in all of atsushi appearances it’s HIM NOT TOTTY who makes the first move. He is the one inviting him to the gym or hooking him up with girls. ATSUSHI IS THE REAL MVP AND I STAN- totty doesn’t really seem to see atsushi as anything other than a stepping stone to move up the social ladder. In fact, that’s how he sees all his friends. The Aida and sacchi? Arguable the closest people to him? Sure we see him hanging out with them a lot but it’s always because he wants to get something out of being with them. He wants to get a date, maybe a kiss and MAYBE even graduate from being a LOSER VIRGIN. But like…. even his va talked about how weird it was that such a sociable guy can not eat laid or even a girlfriend. Like?? He talks to all these girls and they clearly like him to some degree??? I mean sure maybe it’s because his brothers always get in the way but do they???? Or maybe it’s because he literally doesn’t know how to really connect with other people. He can be friendly and fake but when things get personal? He doesn’t know what to do. Because he lies to make himself look better. He cant get too close to other people because they might see that he isn’t really what he pretends to be. MY PHONE IS DYING AND I HAVE A CLASS TOMORROW MORNING SO IMMA PUT A PIN IN THIS
