Not nice people, will do some really heinous stuff for the story we are preparing.

I was inspired for this art by lines from the Russian song "Неизбежность зла" ("Inevitability of Evil", it has an English version "House of Cards"). The idea I think is clear: two sides of the same coin, or the dark and light side of the Force if you wish (somewhere reylo fans cry, including me XD).
I wanted the strongest symbolism, so I drew the Heart of Kandrakar to resemble a yin-yang. The black substance inside is inspired by episode 20 of season 1, when the crystal absorbed the Seal of Phobos. The substance shimmers purple, as this color is obtained by mixing pink and turquoise. The pink belongs to the owner of the Heart of Kandrakar, who infuses it with light energy, and the (almost) complimentary turquoise belongs to the prince, who poisons the artifact with dark magic. The crystal does not reject it, observing neutrality to the exclusion of the strict concept of good and evil. After all, are the sides of the coin so different from each other?
1 picture: "Remember, the darker the night, the sooner the sunrise comes" (in English version of the song "Only when the night is gone, you're awakened by the sun")
2 picture: "I don't believe in the inevitability of evil"

The galhot form of Phobos from my AU.
(English is not my native language, so there may be mistakes. Please be understanding)
In the series and comic book from time to time it is shown that some residents of Meridian can change their appearance to human. It's not even about werewolves (Cedric and Miranda), but about ordinary meridians.
The most striking examples are Alborn and Miriadel (Elyon's foster parents), as well as Galgheita Rudolph (a math teacher on Earth and Elyon's nanny on Meridian in the past). Escanor's were not spared either: in that series, when Phobos shows Elyon family portraits, they change their appearance between two states. The audience is shown aunt Primrose, uncle Reginald and cousin Vivian.
I have a headcanon on this. It lies in the fact that the meridians that are shown to us only in human form (Phobos, Elyon, Julian, Drake, etc.) actually also have a second form. They just don't do it often. Or, in the case of Elyon, they don't know how to do it.
In general, I sketched the galhot form of my Phobos (meaning the Phobos that is associated with AU, where there is Chimeris). I don't know how well I managed to convey it, but I imagined him looking like a whisperer. There would be a certain logic in this (that he created them in his own image and likeness). And the connection with plant magic, of course.
Changing the hairstyle made the prince a little less recognizable, but: a) I like it b) changing the hairstyle during the transition fits into the canon (look at the screenshots) c) with a completely old hairstyle it would be too boring and cautious.
I will be glad to see your questions or arguments on this topic.
