jumping on here to announce that i'm one of the contributors for miraculers for palestine (@fandomsforpali) 🍉🇵🇸, a campaign to raise funds for widjan, a young girl from rafah who has fibrosarcoma.

by commissioning me - or any of the other lovely artists and writers participating in this event - we're able to support her and her family, while you can also get something fun in return. ❤️🐾

day 1 of struggling with procreate

Above, I posted this in around early 2024 and you can already tell that the colours are really dull, flat and the shadows are hardly there. Not to mention because my lineart is so thin, you can't see it at all. I was struggling with a capital S LMAOOOOO.

And then these two were posted in December 2024 after I went on to do some studies and relearn colours and everything. The difference between early 2024 and the end of 2024 is insane. I'm experimenting more with colours, I've duplicated and coloured my lineart layer so that it's more visible and I think I've finally found the balance of realism and stylism that I like!

I also use way less blending modes and have decided to keep my brush strokes sharper and more purposeful.
