the complex sound environment of NYC presents extremely rich yet unique sonic textures. our aural understanding of space is expanding all the time. in the modern soundscape, the notion of 'presence' is very important, thus, profound listening in the everyday life is necessary. this blog is an attempt to capture visually and aurally, the realm of this urban sound environment with its multiple and cacophonous sounds. In an attempt to capture the Sharawadji effect which arises in a situation of rupture where perceptive confusion gives away to an inexplicable aesthetic pleasure.
