I have joined the great return migration. I've let things get a little dusty around here. It's been... 10 years? 👀  Woof. Time to clean up and redecorate.

Hiya! Late update this week :3

I've been a bit slow w this cuz I got tested and there's a high chance I might have an autoimmune disorder, so ive been busy getting more tests and such.

Buuuuut, thanks a lot for reading this silly thing, and I really wanna finish this story, Ive got a good few more pages and then it'll be a nice short comic :))

i had a crisis while making this because i realized i missed Lycions tattoos EVERYWHERE before this

also, decided to finally use the comic font because my hands hurt making this and im also workin a job now ;-;

anyway, i really like the second panel cuz fleki and lycion look like major villains discussing evil thihngs (they're going to go to numerous restaurants and cafes on their captain's dime)

I've been thinking a lot about Fujimoto and his work after watching Look Back. Specifically "Thought bubbles" in his manga

Maybe I haven't read his works as hard enough and I still know there's a lot to read. But I do feel that he doesn't make a lot of use of thought bubbles.

Which is extremely interesting to me cuz I just started trying to teach myself how to make comics and be able to tell my stories just how I want to.

I read fire punch really quickly but there were times where I realized it wasn't explicitly stated what a character was thinking, but one understood it because of their actions, words, just... the writing I guess. It's really like watching a movie.

I'm not the best at putting my thoughts into words so I might be completely wrong, but I really love Fujimoto's work and I feel it's partly because he writes his manga like it's a movie.

I don't ramble on here often but hell yeah i just really like Fujimoto's stuff (even though I'm not entirely up to date with csm part 2 lol I'm waiting so I can binge read it)

(btw in this au the 'canaries' here are just a smaller faction under a major gang. They're not too involved, considering things have slowed down in the current climate, however Mithrun is connected with the higher ups since he used to be quite heavily involved in the more dangerous stuff. That's taken a backseat now.)

I started reading jjk back in 2019/2020, and I mistook it for a horror manga, and so I think I got a little bored in the middle because it wasn't what I expected. It started with that whole, summoning a spirit at school thingy so I went in expecting something very different.

I think imma give it another go despite all the spoilers I've seen, mostly because I wanna try readin it again without expecting horror. (And also because I wanna draw fanart but to do that I wanna read it properly so i GET it yk)

(On that note, if you've got any good horror manga recs please send me my way I love horror I've read all of junji ito, a lil of hideshi hino, a bit of nishioka kyoudai)
