WOMEN OF DEVIL ISLAND (1962) - The irresistible charms of MICHELE MERCIER and MYLENE DEMONGEOT (Part 2)
Before she gained worldwide fame with the ANGELIQUE Saga (see Part 10), MICHELE MERCIER starred in countless movies both in France and in Italy (see part 4).
This 1962 Italian movie le prigionere dell’ isola del diavolo (Women Of Devil Island) is a period piece where Mercier plays a young woman who gets arrested to find the wherabouts of her missing sister deported to a prison island for women (excerpt here).
Her natural beauty shines in the black and white movie but yet fails to compare to the erotic and romantic violence that emanates from the beautiful painting by ALFREDO CAPITANI created for the movie poster.
All other MYLENE DEMONGEOT and MICHELE MERCIER posters can be found here (Mylene) and here (Michele)
