look at this asshole (thorin) i love him so much (also dwarves have such big ears i never noticed before)

this is the face thorin makes the first time he lays eyes on bilbo. you can't tell me mf didn't fall in love at first sight

and its such a prolonged eye contact. mf is barely blinking

retracting back a bit: my favorite thing in repeated viewings is watching all the details happening in the background (or like those that are not the main focus of the shot you get what im saying)

regarding thorin's expression and head movement in these few frames: i think he is supposed to be trying to have a look at the jewels HOWEVER young thorin having a crush on thranduil, anyone?

(this is also the colors thrain wears and i think with a bit of stretching you can argue that both thror and thorin wear blue; perhaps these orangey hues are colors of side branches of durin's royal line and thror intended thorin to be his successor not thrain (its just an hc(?) i keep seeing in fics)

these two are making such exaggerated faces in these scene. both actors are good actors. it has to be an acting choice. Therefore im convinced this is the first time these two were allowed outside the blue mountains
