Can I just say to the people of Twitter that they are a big part of Jiara and this fandom but they need to calm down for a moment with all this fueling of cast drama and Rudy and Madison speculations?

I feel like that’s just putting energies into the wrong place right now, the writers and producers are clearly overwhelmed by the reactions received on S4 and it’s pretty clear by the damage control they’re trying to do with this abnormal silence on their part (official accounts, crew and cast alike) and we should take advantage of that and keep pushing.

Considering how in the past they have taken in consideration the fan’s opinion this should be the moment to focus ON THE SHOW and expressing our disappointment towards the turn it took and how strongly we wish for something better for this show that we loved for years.

This is probably absolutely delusional on our part, SURE THING…but if we want to AT LEAST TRY to push them and change things and most importantly for Rudy to change his mind and second guess whether to do it for one last season, don’t you think it would be better to try and create an environment that could help the situation instead of only confirming his decision and pushing him away even further?

Let’s be real we don’t want S5 without JJ, but if we want our voices to be heard and make a point we gotta help the situation not make it worse.

(And if you’re reading this and you’re perfectly fine with the ending and you don’t mind a season 5 and are still gonna watch anyway…good for you, but we still have a right to express our disappointment towards a show we invested almost 5 years of our lives following and try to do something about it)

omfg WHY does every show have to kill off beloved characters just for “shock factor?” I am so sick of it. We watched OBX for good, happy vibes and bc of the pouge’s friendship and now it’s just like every other show trying to have some “deeper meaning.” WRITERS, YOU DONT HAVE TO FUCKING KILL CHARACTERS TO MAKE US CARE ABOUT THEM!!!! ITS OKAY TO NOT BE REALISTIC SOMETIMES!! ITS OKAY TO HAVE HAPPY UNREALISTIC ENDINGS WHERE EVERYONE LIVES!!

Obx killing off JJ is like if Teen Wolf decided to kill Stiles in s6 like these are the sort of characters you simply don't kill. I mean they could have gone the Teen Wolf s6 route where he is in only a few scenes here and there and maybe it's because he is kidnapped or something just like what happened with Stiles so it makes sense why he isn't there as much anymore. Like anything except killing him.

How to write a character off a show without killing them

Here is a list of different ways a character could leave a show without dying. With the right script they could all pack an emotional gut punch without rupturing someones spleen.

Prison

Coma

Missing at sea

Witness protection

Disappearing into the woods/Jungle

Etc.

What is it with writers thinking it's a good idea to take a traumatised and obviously suicidal character and KILL them off?!

This character has been through so much shit and pain. They have managed to find joy in the people around them and have had SOME happy moments.

But they still have so much unresolved trauma. And they still carry so much pain inside.

And instead of giving them a well deserved happy ending that could bring some hope to the audience watching who might relate to said character… they thinks it's a good idea to KILL THE CHARACTER OFF?!
