Erik hardly flinched as she snapped at him, used to far worse than this. Things didn’t look good and she was reasonably angry about it. The young man’s voice was starting to sound like a jumbled mess to Erik, and he wasn’t sure whether that was from Erik focusing on other things around him or if Jake’s words were coming out that way.
He frowned at her accusation. “I might not personally know how to do that, but you have plenty of people around here who do. It’s also the only clear option I’m seeing right now.” His voice came out in more of a growl than he’d like, but right now her attitude was grating on his nerves. The situation was spiraling but he didn’t think that was calling for as much venom as she was flinging when he was trying to help.
His mood lightened when Jubilee called out for her coworkers to gather supplies. Maybe this would work after all. Maybe Erik would be able to help save a life instead of destroy it. “I’m O-. I can give him as much of my blood as possible until help arrives.” He hoped that an ambulance would arrive soon to help Jake before he needed more than Erik could give.

Erik was dumbstruck. Upon seeing the picture in Tommy’s phone he couldn’t help but notice the eerie similarities between the two in the picture and his own children. For what seemed like a long time he didn’t say a word and just looked at Tommy, confusion and mild irritation clear on his face.
The world was spinning and his head was starting to hurt.
“That’s too much of a coincidence to be an accident,“ he growled. His anger wasn’t directed at the young man in front of him, but rather at the situation as a whole. Though he doubted that Tommy would care about the difference.
Before he could stop himself Erik reached out and gripped Tommy’s shoulder with one hand while the other held onto his chin, tilting Tommy’s face so that Erik could examine the whole of it.
He’d seen those eyes before. They were Wanda’s eyes.
They were also Magda’s.
“It’s impossible,“ he murmured half to himself. “Wanda doesn’t have any children... Yet here you are...“ None of this was making sense to him. How in the hell could two teenagers show up and look exactly like his daughter, have the same abilities as his own children, yet come from entirely unrelated families?

12. What about your muse amuses you?
I love how older comics paint Magneto as very dramatic and a bit campy. Nowadays there’s still lots of drama with his character, but now they’ve added a disaster bastard man element and I adore him so much.

Clint Barton: [eating Spam with a fork]
Kate Bishop: Do you have to eat that straight out of the can? There’s such a thing as quality of life. Treat yourself to a plate and a side salad.
Clint Barton: Leave me alone.
Kate Bishop: You don’t even know what’s in that!
Clint Barton: [stares at meat on his fork] Mostly hoof... And salt.
Kate Bishop: It won’t be a bullet that kills you.

Professor X: Erik, what motivates you?
Magneto: I suppose it’s an unhealthy mix of spite, pettiness, the thirst for vengeance, and pure, relentless rage.
