You'll get more chances. At friendships. At relationships. At job/school related progress. At following your dreams. At chasing your passions. It's not now or never. There will always be other chances and other opportunities.

Dubai Trip: 01/06/16 - 06/06/16
So I embarked on my first Middle Eastern holiday in June. From the outlandish showcase of luxury I had heard about Dubai it is fair to say my excitement would be that of bagging a pair of Yeezys (through the roof). Not only was it my first time in the Middle East but also my first holiday without any parents. My sister and I set off on our seven plus hour journey to see what Dubai had to offer. We were greeted by the boarding gate and a security check as per any standard airport arrangement and in return we were to be confronted with our temporary home. iPhones charged up iTunes libraries updated and neck pillows at the ready we were ready. Unable to get more than what must have been about one hours sleep I arrived looking like a very tired eyed Merissa and the ridiculous 40 degrees weather hitting me in the face like Chris Brown did Rihanna. My sister who is basically a zombie nowadays was really up and eager to continue the day whereas I was the contrary and more than happy to see the hotel bedroom and nap. After being awoken to an angry sister and the prospect of dinner we got in a taxi and went to the more lively parts of Dubai (we were at Deira which we established was not the greatest part in terms of stuff to do). So we got to an area near the Dubai Mall which was just over ten minutes away from the hotel and sought out something to eat. We came across the familiar face of Tony Roma and got stuck into some steaks and dessert. So far everyone had spoken English and had been very friendly much against some of the awful things you hear, typically geared towards my demographic. So we were on to a good start. We were made aware that the hotel had a free shuttle bus that would take us to several locations and planned the rest of the stay. On the second day we decided to actually visit the Dubai Mall and this is where you could really witness the extravagance of Dubai. From walking to the mall from the taxi rank you passed a display of about 10 super cars in the space of 3 minutes and this was the norm. We had booked a trip to the Atlantis Palm to go to the water park and have a meal at the ever popular restaurant Nobu. We got up early to maximise the day on this and arrived by 10am, everyday was scorching hot so there was no danger of plans being ruined. We got our wristbands and proceeded to the wild array of water slides and rides we could see. Tip; definitely bring those scuba shoes with you to walk around and go on the rides will save you burning your feet.
To keep this first post short and sweet I will summarised and add some tips.
Must Visit:
- Atlantis the Palm
-Jumeriah Beach
-Nobu
-Cavalli Club
Remember to check when Ramadan is taking place before booking your trip as this could mean a wide range of activities and key sights are closed.
Until next time!

Greetings! 03/04/17
Hello there,
I had a brainwave a few nights ago as I was trying to establish what I wanted to do for the rest of my life at well 20 years old which seems incredibly daunting. I find as you go through education you make choices that avoid you making definite choices and this “leaving options open” thing has left me in a bit of a rut. So I made a list of all the avenues I am really interested in doing at some point or another and sought out how I could make them happen. Right now I have the chance to experiment and find out what I want to stick at for life, it is a process. Creating a travel/food blog being one of the things on the list and today I made this happen. Whilst Tumblr is not the most professional platforms to use I have had a personal blog for over five years on here so I get the formatting etc. So we will see where this takes me. But there is not solely going to be travelling experiences and food reviews but also examples of any mediums I am creative through, for example photography and styling. So buckle up and get ready to experience the body of work I produce.
Stay blessed.
