The Gates to Elain’s Mind
Let's talk about when Feyre goes into Elain’s mind in ACOWAF.
What does she discover there?
The gates were solid iron that are covered in vines of flowers BUT the blossoms were all sealed, sleeping buds that were tucked into tangles of leaves and thorns.
You know what sleeping buds need to bloom?
Sunlight.
What is it that Elain said she needed?
Sunlight.
Plus, there is this as well we need to take into account:
"Every curtain shoved back as far as if could go, to let in as much sun as possible. As if any bit of darkness was abhorrent. As if to chase it away."
Who is seated before the sunniest of windows?
Elain.
Who is it that is most connected to Sunlight?
Her mate, Lucien. The heir to the Day Court.
Not a certain shadowsinger who lives in the shadows (aka darkness).
All signs continue to point to an Elucien endgame if you are a critical thinker and can connect the dots....

I can move on. I have the right to move on. I am moving on. And yet I get judged for my decision to move on.
We broke up 4 months ago. I had been mentally out of the relationship for months. It had been abusive. There was coercion, distrust, miscommunication... I didn't feel safe and i didn't feel happy. So I left. Finally.
I don't need to have sex to move on. I don't need a serious relationship to move on. I can enjoy just dating someone. I can enjoy other kinds of physical intimacy that is not sexual.
But there are expectations by others on how to move on. I enjoy sex, but I want to know that that's not all to a relationship. Regardless of if it's serious or not, I want to be treated with respect.

Elain’s brows twitched toward each other. “The queen—with the feathers of flame.”
“I’ll go.” Lucien was staring at Elain as he spoke. We all looked at him. Lucien shifted his focus to Rhys, to me. “I’ll go,” he repeated, rising to his feet. “To find this sixth queen.”
Elain now watched Lucien warily. Blinking every now and then. She revealed no hint of whatever she might be seeing—sensing. None.
He only glanced at Elain, whose face was again a calm void while she traced a finger over the embroidery on the couch cushions. “Yes. Let me help in whatever way I can.”
Before that dark wind swept in, Lucien looked back. Not to me, I realized—to someone behind me. Pale and thin, Elain stood atop the stairs. Their gazes locked and held. But Elain said nothing. Did not so much as take one step downward. Lucien inclined his head in a bow, the movement hiding the gleam in his eye—the longing and sadness. And when Lucien turned to signal to Rhys to go … He did not glance back at Elain. Did not see the half step she took toward the stairs—as if she’d speak to him. Stop him.
“I’m fine,” Elain said quietly. And then asked, noticing the gore on him, the torn clothes and stillbloody weapons, “Are you—” “Well, I never want to fight in another battle as long as I live, but … yes, I’m in one piece.” A faint smile bloomed on Elain’s lips.

Can somebody tell me wtf is "forbidden" about Elriel? Because we all know the blood duel shit would never happen because if Elain told Lucien she loved Azriel he would immediately back off and if Azriel said he loved Elain Rhysand would back him. And it would be perfectly convenient for Elain to marry Azriel and stay in the Night Court with her sisters forever and never venture out of her comfort zone. Azriel was never kept from seeing Elain. Lucien was though. Lucien wasn't allowed anywhere near his MATE without an armed fucking guard despite all he did for Feyre despite her setting him up to fail. And marrying Lucien would mean going away from the Night Court, away from her sisters who coddle her and keep her "safe." So actually Lucien and Elain is more forbidden than Elain and Azriel.

I can totally see Willow Allen as either Katniss or Katniss and Peeta’s daughter. I personally always liked the idea that Katniss is indigenous and her dad was too.

I finished watching The Good Place just a while ago.
Before watching, I heard that it was a good sitcom worthy of my time.
And prior to that, the only clip of the show that I remembered watching was "The Nixon Tapes" karaoke scene.
So, honestly, going into the show, I didn't expect any existential themes or philosophical discussion at all.
I thought that the show would be just like, "Haha, you thought this was a good place, but actually this is a bad place" kind of sitcom, you know.
But then the situational part of this situational comedy show is actually our literal existence, and it got me feeling all kinds of things.
It was like riding a roller coaster for me. When it came up the hill, I was full of fake laughter, anticipation, or denial. When it brings me down the slopes, I experience an existential crisis with a tinge of nihilism. And when it stops at the finale, the show somehow gives me existential clarity.

After years of trying to watch the entire show, not being in the right place in my life, and backing out, I made it through the entirety of The Good Place, so here are some quotes that changed me.
