hawke asking “anders what have you done” after the destruction of the chantry and anders going “i have removed the chance for compromise. because there is none.” is one of the most chilling lines in dragon age’s history

this whole mutual thing is overhyped on this site. want to send me an ask off anon? do it. want to tag me in a post? do it. follower, mutual, or just random person who stumbled across my blog: I crave interaction and literally do not mind.
#me in quilleth's inbox like#sending asks to literally anyone is fun! i can confirm this through firsthand experience

Ok ok i know i said I won’t be posting anything but listen
Turns out i talk in my sleep fairly often. Usually banal stuff, family has gotten used to it. But apparently last night while i was sleeping i said “Does THIS affect the trout population?” and punched my sister super hard right in the spleen

times being what they are thought i'd let you know that if y'all feel compelled to start growing some of your own food, you should check to see if you have a seed library near you. they provide free seeds and you'll know for sure that what they have is suited to growing in your area.
seed libraries are often housed in actual libraries but you don't need a library card or anything, you can just go in and take them. no catch. at the end of the growing season, it's highly encouraged that you save some of the seeds from what you've grown and give back, but as long as you're only taking the number of seeds you need, the library is filling its purpose.
seed saving is a lil trickier than just taking seeds and shoving them into a packet. with tomatoes, for example, you have to let them sit in water for a few days until the gel casing ferments off. cross-pollination is also sometimes a concern. check if your seed library has information on the procedures they want you to follow.
a lot of seeds are best started indoors weeks before planting outdoors so if it is something you're interested in, i'd do research into the best time to start whatever plants you're interested in even if there's still frost on the ground. it's hard to give guidelines bc it'll vary greatly depending on the specific plant and where you live. looking up your growing zone is a good place to start.
#just restocked the local seed library today felt good to see the drawers full#if this is something people are actually interested in i could prob flesh out the post some

Do you have the Libby library app?
If not, download it to your phone, and under "Add library card" select the button to search for a library and start typing in "queer"...
Sign up with an email, no actual address required, and you are good to go 🏳️🌈
#oooo ty op#i will add i most often use the browser version of libby and it is exceedingly functional#so that's an option if u don't want to download anything#edit: i just poked around a little and it's a good collection; had a handful of titles i've enjoyed and a lot more that look interesting#when signing up it asked to confirm i had a us mailing address but didn't ask for the address#this post now has my wholehearted endorsement

i know i've talked about the seed library here before when someone went and took every tomato seed with a name that included black or cuban or ukranian but idr if i mentioned that literally every single seed had been taken a couple months ago. people have debated if they could be considered stolen since they were available for free anyway but it's safe to say whoever did this did it with evil in their larcenous little heart since they weren't even taken during growing season. it was less disastrous than it could have been since my mother has been keeping enough backup seeds in the fridge to rival the icelandic seed vault but it still hurts especially when preserving genetic diversity is like. part of the mission statement. after this happened, someone made a post about it on their facebook page or smth and there was an outpouring of support from the community, many people offering to donate seeds including people dedicated to sharing natives and heirlooms which has been incredible.
anyway mostly i'm talking about this now to laugh at the fact that someone in this supportive community decided to contribute by donating a couple packets of cannabis seeds
