They don’t seem to be around… I must continue on. Maybe this is the way out of here?

The outside of the facility is cold. You wished so badly to sit outside— it was the only place you could find peace from the sterile environment.

Your consciousness flickers. Blurs of white fade into your vision as you stumble down the sterile hallway. This is home.

You’re alone. The lights buzz above you as you continue down the blinding white hallway. Though you can sense other employees around you, you have yet to see any.
Is this purgatory? Or hell? What will they do when they find that you are out?

The air is musty and reeks of mold and rot. Still, it’s a comforting space.
You don’t know how long you’ve been here, but the creak of the door indicates your time is up. You don’t want to go out. It feels safe in here.

You don’t understand why this place feels so familiar. You know it’s a false memory, surely. You had never been here. Or… had you?
They don’t want you to remember.

I shouldn’t be out. I should be in my room.

The sun falls from the edge of the sky, casting warm beams through branches above. Your friends don’t seem to mind the lack of light, they say that it will make things spookier once we got inside.
The way into the building was a bit difficult, circling around the hospital a couple times over to pick the best spot to break in. An old splintered door should be fine, nobody would miss it anyway.
The inside air lay thick with dust and rot. Each of our steps kicking up puffs of fine powder to inhale. It was a bad idea not to go inside without some type of protection, but none of us really thought to bring anything. We had just happened to come upon this place.
Further and further in we walked, glancing at old medical supplies and splashes of chemicals lay dried on the walls. There hadn’t been any graffiti yet, but surely the now open door would be an invitation for such artists.
It was further down along the hallway when I had stopped. I was suddenly struck with the most bizarre feeling of dejavú. I looked left, then right, and paused on a window. Had I been here before? Surely I hadn’t.
With a chill crawling down my spine, i advanced forwards. It seemed like my buddies hadn’t noticed I had stopped, and I was alone. Oh well, I’m no pussy. I’d continue on and explore my own way.
Further down the hallway I came across patient rooms. Each one situated with a metal bed, a dresser, and some with a wheelchair. I found one decently clean and stepped inside, running my hands along the dusty metal. What kind of patient lived in this room?
With a SLAM the door behind me was yanked shut. I spun around and glared. Of course they were fucking with me. “Hey! Cut that out guys.” I called, walking towards the door and tugging at the handle. It didn’t budge.
“Guys? This isnt funny! Let me out!” I continued, yanking harder on the handle. It still wouldn’t budge, and I soon gave up. They’d locked it, I had to wait.
Sitting down on the hospital bed, I realized it wasn’t too uncomfortable. Maybe I’d pretend to sleep here, and once they got inside I could scare them. Yeah. I soon laid down on my back and closed my eyes, awaiting any indication of them coming in. It was awfully comfortable, actually. . .
The door creaked open, and a hand was pressed up against my shoulder.
“Good morning. Sit up for me a bit and I’ll give you your medication and breakfast.”
I did as told, opening my groggy eyes to stare up at the nurse. Morning already? But I had been having the best dream..

It’ll be okay, we just need to run some tests.
