I actually don't agree with most of the Fandom
I don't belive people can understand it if you didn't experience it or can change your mindset that easily, but Shadow Weaver was geniuelly thinking she was doing the right thing.
Especially with Micah. Remind yourself what the motive was to the curse, she wanted to protect everyone, but nobody would go threw with it cause it was "to dangerous", I would say fuck you and do the right thing too.
Later on it was a survival thing partially I think. Someone said that she probably hated Catra cause she reminded her so much of Micah and I agree.
I can understand SWs standpoint and think that the Fandom has the wrong reaction to it - its a case of misguidance rather then "ah hell yeah i'ma be evil".
She did the right thing (what she found as the best solution) and had horrible consequences from it. So she stopped doing what's "right" and did what she should in order to survive.
#shera#Sw#Sherasw#shadow weaver#adora shera#Catra#Shadow weaver is actually a good character you just have to understand it form her standpoint

The horrifying and amazing Robert Liston
Writing this again, thanks tumblr, you fucking-
Ok so guys
Apparently there was this completely terrifying and amazing man called Robert Liston.
Back in the 1850's operations would often mean certain death and weren't common, so whenever something like this happened, a lot of people would gather to watch; basically a show.
This guy named Robert Liston was known apparently pretty well known for his "shows" and the incredibly speed of his performance, quote (translated):
"His colleges always described his amputations with:" The flash of the knife was followed by the sound of the saw so quickly, that it seemed as if both were happening at the same time".
(The Butchering art - by Lindsey Fitzharris)
Apparently, due to his quick way fo working, during one of his amputations, he swung the knife, accidentally cutting of three fingers of his assistant, as well as the skirt of a bystander.
The bystander immediately died from shock, while the assistant and patient died (due to poor, or rather the lack of hygiene) by getting an infection later on. This was the first and only time in medical history, that an operation had a 300% death rate.
During another operation, he also accidentally cut a patients leg and genitals of.
Still, he was an amazing doctor.
Liston was 1,88m (6,2 feet according to Google) tall, being a bit higher then the average British man and beside being known for the speed of his work, people admired (aka. where scared) him for the incredible amount of strength in his left arm. He was able to hold down terrified and screaming (due to the lack of ether) patients, while calmly but quickly cutting them open with his right hand.
One time a patient had to get a bladder stone removed, but bieng terrified, the patient flead to the nearby bathroom. Liston however wasn't having that and just fucking knocked down the door and preformed a 60 SECOND operation, successfully removing the bladder stone.
I'm honestly amazed and terrified by this man.
Gonna update if I find something new, if tumblr will let me post.
This is the book I got my info from, I really recommend it
