Hey! Has your college started? Would love to know your experience there!! 🤍
PS: mine starts next week & I'm quite nervous 😅
Hi
I’m sorry, mine hasn’t started either 😭
I think it’s completely normal to be nervous. It’s a completely new environment after-all. But I’m sure you’ll find your place very soon and excel at everything that you do 🫶
Good luck 🤞
I hope you make good friends, good memories and have a wonderful college experience 😸💗

Study tips that i learned through failures!
1. It's so important that you do a first read thru of the text as fast as possible. Stick to annotations and brief summarizing notes/outlines. Our brain is constantly making connections even when we're sleeping, so even if you don't understand something at first, getting stuck on it is a waste of your present time AND sleep time. Some things will click while you're doing chores because your brain is still working in the background! But it can't happen if there is nothing to click. Try to expose yourself to all the material as early as possible. [If you're studying math, skip the derivations and proofs in the first read thru and just do the example problems and focus on the underlying assumptions. Depending on the class/exam objective, you might not even be tested on the proof]
2. The breaks. Even if you know you can study 4 hours straight - don't. I used to do this especially when I was anxious, but it just burned me out. Even as quickly as the next day! If you're doing your first pom of the day and you feel really fresh to the point that you feel like you can skip that first break - dont.. it will pile up!
3. The water and the sugar!! This might sound really obvious, but studying burns up so many resources. On days I don't study, I might be okay with 60-70 oz of water, but on days I do, it's normal for me to hit 100 oz. I also ate way more food in general and ate more sugar too, and I think that's pretty normal.
4. Flashcards and practice problems > annotations > having nice notes. It kills me to say it, but the last exam I took (and passed!), I relied on my very disorganized notes/screenshots on my tablet. I didn't have time to organize and transfer them nicely onto paper in order even though every perfectionist cell in my body wanted to soo badly. Making your own textbook can be helpful but I seriously just didn't have the time. Focus on what will actually get you that pass score!
5. Find the note-taking app you like BEFORE your study period or exam season and practice using it! The last thing you want is to fight the syncing mechanism as you're trying to study. I like to use Flexil because of the split screen feature, the linked screenshots, and the cross-platform sync. If you are studying math, either learn latex over the summer/off period so you can use it in Obsidian/Anki or commit to manually written flashcards and notes the whole way. Dont try to switch halfway through because that will be a waste of your time. I personally think writing out the math is faster than typing it out in Latex, but it's your poison (they're both poison). (And if you study any type of math, I 10000% recommend using a tablet)
6. Unless you are studying for fun, orient everything around the class/exam objectives. Unfortunately, you're not gonna have time to be curious. If you don't think something will be tested, quickly cut it out and move on.
7. Figure out what your exam taking weaknesses are. Out of every 10 missed problems, I realized I'd miss a question solely because i input the wrong number into the calculator. Now I say the numbers in my head as I put it in, do it at a relatively slow pace, and break up large formulas into itsy pieces and make sure the output is close to what I expect it to be. I write out all the steps on paper sometimes to make sure every calculation is as expected. You only get once chance during the real thing, so it's important to come up with a policy to reduce risk and to stick to it every time.

Share your tips for studying anatomy (pls)
Heyaa! I'm a first year med student and my first week at uni just passed. I got a lot of things to study but my main problem is anatomy 😭
How do you study for this subject? What's the best way to memorize Latin terms (I'm doing flashcards but there could be other ways)
I'll be thankful if you share some tips🤍

Comeback, I guess?
Guess who's back from the longest hiatus ever? Yep, it's me! xD It’s been so long since I last posted (I didn’t even post much, I just left it after the intro post xD) So many things have happened and I just forgot about this blog. Recently though, I did some digging and found this blog and I thought, why not give it another shot? So here I am!
Anyways! Here’s a small update,
I officially finished High School and I’m now off to college
It’s currently summer break and my first year of college starts soon on September 16th( Wish me luck!)
What am I studying, you ask? BBA! (super excited but also kinda terrified, not gonna lie)
And yeah! That's about it, I’ll try to keep posting as often as I can (fingers crossed) So, Let’s make this space cozy and inspiring together <3
And with all that said, I hope you all have a lovely day/night ahead wherever you may be, take care and see you soon!
This Sora,
Signing out.

Success in your studies isn’t about cramming the night before or relying on last-minute luck; it’s about consistent effort and dedication. Every time you sit down to study, you’re investing in your future self. Remember, the small, daily efforts add up to something great. So, take a deep breath, organize your notes, and tackle each topic one step at a time. Your journey may be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.
There will be days when motivation is low, and distractions seem endless. On those days, remind yourself why you started. Think about the goals you’re striving toward, the knowledge you’re gaining, and the growth you’re experiencing. You’re capable of more than you realize. Stay disciplined, take breaks when needed, and don’t forget to celebrate your progress, no matter how small. You’ve got this!

02.08.24 //
I stayed up until 1:30 to get these bloody notes done. I only have 2 days to finish my notes for my other class, and to catch up on practice questions :,) might increase my tea intake to 3 cups day and cut back on sleep (not so much that it's detrimental, of course) in order to get this shit done. ugh.
today, I
completed week 2 notes for mechanics and thermodynamics (headings 3.9, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6) - my hand hurts.
finished part 1 of the way of kings.
studied for: approx. 4h (I wasn't really keeping track)
media
📖: the way of kings - brandon sanderson
🎧: empire of the sun
🎞️: olympics basketball (australia is cooked)

📚Attention All Studyblrs📚
I’d like to invite you to join the Studyblr Community, using tumblr’s brand new feature! This community is for original study related content, a place to support each other and is intended to be your new cozy corner of the internet. Let’s make this a renaissance of the 2017-2020 studyblr golden age ♡₊ ⊹📃💭⋆⭒˚。⋆
How it works:
Join via this link.
Make an introductory post within the community about yourself and your studies.
Reblog your study related content to the community! Note: currently you can only do this on the desktop web browser version of tumblr. I’ve contacted support to see when we can do this from our phones too!
Reblog this post for reach & expand this post for more info!
How do I reblog my content into the community page?
It’s super simple! When you click to reblog your post, select the Studyblr Community instead of your study blog. You should be able to do this by clicking your blog name when you are reblogging a post.
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘
Some rules for this community:
This is a space for original content. If you are reposting images from Pinterest you will be blocked, this is not the place for that. Some exceptions can be made, like resharing useful study infographics with credit.
You don’t need to be a student to join! You just need to enjoy this type of content
I reserve the right to block people out of the community if I believe them to threaten the safety and peace of the members.
There is a limit to how many people can join the community. If this limit is reached, I will remove members who’s blogs haven’t been active in a long time. If this happens to you, you’re totally allowed to join back in when you’re active again!
Due to personal experiences with my privacy being disrespected, you are encouraged to not share private identifiable information like what university you attend. This rule is at your own discretion!
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘
What should my introduction include?
Any information that you’re comfortable with sharing! This could include the basics like what name you’d like to be referred as, what you are studying, what your academic goals are etc.
For inspiration, check the #studyblr introduction tags
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘
What was the Studyblr golden age?
This basically refers to a time where the studyblr hashtag was full of original content made by students. It has more of a community vibe back then, which I’d love to bring back! (Disclaimer: it was not a perfect time though, there was heaps of stationary overconsumption and a big focus on aesthetic notes. But the community was thriving!)
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘
New Academic Year Challenge:
I will be making a studyblr productivity challenge which will start at the end of August for the new academic year! It will include prompts to answer as posts, so if you have any fun prompt ideas let me know!
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘
Why I made this community:
I’ve been struggling to find active Studyblr accounts with the #studyblr tag, and honestly most of the content on this tag isn’t related to studying… Tbh I’m guilty of this, even though I identify as primarily being a studyblr for psychology & french, I realise that some of my bookish/artsy posts might have been annoying to see on the studyblr tag. (I’m sorry to anyone who has been silently irritated by this!!) I’m a bit ashamed that mildly contributed to this, and so I hope this community will balance that out!
Btw, I made this community a while back just to test out this new feature, but I’d like to credit @star-motif ‘s post for making me think about this more, and subsequently publicise the community! I hope this space will bring us back to the golden age of tumblr😊
˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ ✧˚ · . ˚ · . ༉‧₊˚. ‘
Lastly: I need help
I’d like to make an updated directory of active studyblrs, kind of like this one. If anybody has any resources on how I could put one together, or if you’d like to take on the task, please let me know!

17 July, 2024
Random life update ig. My family moved countries and am currently in Switzerland until my uni starts.
The change is pretty big, in all honesty. I am used to having school at 8 am, hanging out with friends at 4 pm, doing everything under the sun that counts as productive between 8 pm and 3 am. Now, time doesn’t really feel real because it looks different - quite literally. The sky would be a glitter of oranges and pinks by 6 pm in my country, but here, there is broad daylight until 9:30 pm. I enjoy that, but it makes it difficult to perceive time.
Another thing about Switzerland is that it is distractingly beautiful. I want to get things done, but I constantly want to spend time by the lake and nature. The air smells nice, and the architecture is so pretty. The arched roofs, colorful buildings with large windows, old castles with towers, and pretty churches. There is so much beauty just ... existing. It's hard not to be consumed by it.
The language barrier also makes it difficult to fit in. I want to talk to people, but I don’t know how to say half the things I want to say with my intermediate french. It also makes getting a summer job a daunting task.
However, all things considered, I really want to get back into the groove and chase my goals. Here are some things I want to achieve by the time uni starts:
Learn programming
Finish writing an original novel
Find an apartment /student housing near my university
Start reading up on my major
Here's to hoping for more productive and meaningful days going forward!

Hi friends !
It’s been a really long time since i’ve been on here (i hope some of you still remember me lol)
NEET 2024 is finally over and i think it’s safe to say that i did quite well; not good enough to get into my dream college but i’ll get into my state’s college, and i think i’m learning to be okay with that… i gave my best, and that’s all that matters.
‘I can always go out for my masters’, that’s what i tell myself haha *cries*
I hope you’re all doing well too ^^
For my fellow NEET aspirants, idk how your paper went, but i hope that you’re all doing well and have been able to accept whatever has happened. I trust that what’s meant for you will come to you, eventually.
I’m delighted if you did well and wish you good luck!
Even if you did not do as well as you wanted to, please do not be disheartened. I trust that doors of opportunities will open up for you soon. Wishing you much luck and success in all that you decide to do next.
I plan to be more active on here once college starts 🫡
That’s all for now!
Until next time ~
