it was such a thoughtful gesture that seungyo propose with a bracelet instead of a ring. she likes to cook and if he gave her a ring, she would have to keep taking off the ring when she is cooking especially if she wants to be a chef.

despite its shortcomings love next door remains to be a decent, entertaining drama for me and i really enjoy seeing all the analysis posts in the tag after an episode

I've seen some people annoyed with the fighting that happened between Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu's moms, but I'm honestly fine with it because the fight has been a long time coming.
Hye-suk was 100% right that Mi-suk has an inferiority complex. I definitely can get why Mi-suk has an inferiority complex especially when compared to Hye-suk. Hye-suk went to university and Mi-suk did not. Hye-suk married a doctor and they have a lot of money while Mi-suk married a restaurant owner and they did not have a lot of money. Hye-suk gave Mi-suk money for taking care of Seung-hyo during his childhood and gave her extra gifts, so I could see Mi-suk feeling some type of way about it especially given how we've seen Mi-suk be embarrassed about how her life doesn't seem as accomplished as other people's.
The point though that I lose sympathy for Mi-suk and side more with Hye-suk in this argument is that Hye-suk is also right that Mi-suk's friends and family don't look down on her the way she thinks she does. It was actually nice to her that Mi-suk was being paid for taking care of Seung-hyo because that was labor and Mi-suk deserved to be paid for it. Hye-suk giving Mi-suk extra gifts was because Hye-suk valued Mi-suk as a friend. Hye-suk also offering to pay for Mi-suk's share of the cruise was because Hye-suk saw how uncomfortable Mi-suk was at the talk of money and she wanted Mi-suk to be able to go on the cruise with the rest of the friend group. I can definitely get why Mi-suk would feel some type of way about it because Hye-suk definitely doesn't get how it feels to not have money and feel very sensitive about that. However, the way Mi-suk went about expressing herself didn't make for a productive conversation and I can see why Hye-suk would be so incredibly hurt finding out that one of her best friends never apparently saw their friendship the way she did.
Honestly, Mi-suk and Hye-suk need to have a conversation like Geun-sik and Gyeong-jong did where they realize that there was jealousy on both sides because I honestly don't think that Mi-suk knows how dysfunctional the relationship between Hye-suk and Gyeong-jong was for like over 20 years. I do think that would put some things into perspective for Mi-suk.
