Romneya coulteri or Matilijia poppy or fried egg flower. Native to California and Mexico, these friends can grow quite tall. In the desert I've seen them stuck at around 2-3 feet but the group pictured here – in someone's garden – had stalks at least 6 feet tall.

Being a writer is really just having this one scene in your head that you want to write and then crying about the 50 thousand other words you have to write to get to that scene

writers and creatives in general, don’t forget to take your rest days or week. as someone who experienced burnout for MONTHS if you really want to make fast and consistent updates, you NEED to rest your mind and body. i pinkie swear, your mental health, creativity, and yourself will thank you later.

so go forth, my fellow writers. drink some water, play your favorite video game, re-watch the hobbit series for a 3875935th time, learn something new. you deserve it. you have the right to slow down every once in a while
