After scrolling through Tumblr for a while (I have not used this in more than 5 years) I actually prefer it to Twitter. I like how it’s a place that is adapted to long-form and short-form content and I think if Elon wanted social media network inspiration, this is the place!

There’s more space to put raw thoughts and emotions here and so I’m making this account an anon account where I will rant about my life away from the expectation management and “work” colleagues etc.

i’m gonna be more active over there, too... i used to use instagram, but i deleted it from my phone recently because i found that it was incredibly distracting, whichever way i looked at it, whether i used my studygram account or personal account. i’ve always known that i hate the feeling of being glued to reels, or diving into some random issue from 2017 and falling down a rabbit hole of doom for 2 hours researching something entirely pointless, or waiting on someone’s message and using instagram as a distraction technique, but was always too comfortable with that lack of productivity to just delete it and move on to more important things... so i’m also here with a studyblr  - @studyblrbymaya

also very glad that i’m no longer on twitter... another distraction technique, run by an inept, out of touch billionaire. ​tumblr feels calmer, more customisable, (slightly) more laid back, and more in keeping with my philosophy.

guess who’s back using tumblr because the corrupt billionaire who we shall not name is further commodifying a resource that should be free to use for the millions of normal people who actually have to work to survive instead of making money by doing nothing?!? me!!!! i’m sick of elon’s bs and today, twitter being down was basically the last straw. expect more fun stuff here i guess. maybe i’ll reignite the blog, maybe i’ll just be criticising annoying politicians… idk. anyways, hello again tumblr 😂

hello!!! i used to use twitter to promote my blog + stuff but i feel like it’s kinda a bit icky to use twitter now considering there’s an unethical billionaire with the aim of creating a nightmare digital autocracy built on control with a sprinkling of complete chaos??? i feel like it’s just not my ✨thing✨ and i’d like to just show my support for twitter employees whose lives are basically becoming really difficult owing to this dude.

also character limits basically don’t exist here so woo

anyways i don’t know if people are actually gonna read this post or if i’m kinda just talking to myself but i run a fun little blog where i talk about politics and human rights and diplomacy and basically just rant about my beliefs and views, i don’t wanna link my blog just yet bc i feel like if no one’s gonna read it there’s no point but yeah, i’m joining tumblr and hoping it’s a bit of fun and maybe a chance to get more visibility :D
