I like to ink other artists in Procreate for fun and practice.
Here's a Phil Hester Mister Miracle sketch I inked.

Closing out the year with one final Christmas movie tribute, The Snowman, based on the picture book by Raymond Briggs.
This was a new favorite as of this year but will be an annual watch from this point on.
I watched it on a friend's suggestion. Then watched it again. Then watched the sequel. Then watched the spin-off. And listened to the soundtrack before bed, several nights in a row.
I tried to combine my art style with the illustration style of the book and movie.
I hope the holidays have found you well.
Happy New Year.

Paying tribute to some of my favorite Christmas movies/characters.
Christmas Eve on Sesame Street and A Charlie Brown Christmas forged my love of melancholy Christmas specials.

While not specifically Christmas, this time of year makes me think of another favorite Disney short, Donald's Snow Fight.

'Pluto's Christmas Tree' is one of my favorite Disney shorts and has some grade-A Chip 'n Dale clowning.

Paying tribute to some of my favorite Christmas movies/characters.
I've loved both Gremlins movies forever. Probably got into them younger than one "should" but we just enjoyed the comic mayhem and cool puppets and effects. It was an all-the-year-long movie but stands as a great Christmas monster flick.
(And I'm trying to experiment with different monochrome/2-color palettes, which is why Gizmo is green)

I enjoy the other Grinches but Chuck Jones was the perfect artist to bring Dr. Seuss to life.

I've always loved the art style of Rankin & Bass' Frosty the Snowman.

Happy New Year y'all!
2024 marks the 40th anniversary of some of my favorite movies (and some of my favorite people) and I will try to commemorate them in kind.
I had some wonderful adventures with friends and family last year, some exciting opportunities as an improvisor, puppeteer, actor, and cartoonist.
2024 already has some very cool things on the horizon.
I wish everyone a happy and healthy new year surrounded by those you hold dear.

I found this awesome Spider-Man vs. Sinister Six piece penciled by Scott McDaniel and had to try my inks over it.
I like this unusual lineup for the Sinister Six.
