Question: Is it not the norm for a kiss scene to be "real" in Thai dramas?

Cuz, like, idk if this is just a fiction thing but Dawan seems quite shocked about being actually kissed in book and she's like a 30 year old actress who has been in the industry for over a decade. I know it's a book and Chao Planoy likes dumb drama but even still, I assume the drama is based on some level of reality especially with a line that directly references real people where the director in the book says, "Even Mew kissed Ter on Fan Day."

and then there's that hilarious clip from one of Sonya's lives where she says her mother asked her if she kissed Lookmhee for real (which seemed like a dumb question to me at the time but now idk)

Like obviously camera angles are a thing but in western/American TV... if there's a kiss scene then you can generally assume the actors actually kissed.

But idk maybe the norms are different in Thailand and actors are only starting to kiss on screen for real. all I've seen are GLs with kiss scenes that are definitely real lmfao
