Everything is fuzzy. The sound. The touch. The taste. My vision starts to focus and I see a figure on the floor made of red, green, yellow, and black. I try to get up but I can’t move, my limbs are strapped down. A taste of metal becomes more evident in my mouth but I swallow it down as I realize I’ve been captured.
A dark figure with a red head moves. I blink violently trying to tell who this figure is and assess the situation. Laughs and wheezes echo throughout the room. Oh no. Oh god.
The figure removes his helmet, revealing his green hair and pale face. I close my eyes trying to center myself and make a plan. The ropes won’t loosen with my force so I retaliate with screams of anger.
He laughs and tilts his head; my eyes focus on a crowbar in his hand. He steps closer and I spit out the metallic taste, splattering red on his face. His pale hand wipes it across his face emphasizing his smile. Chuckles escape him as I attempt to release myself again. “Don’t you want to pull a joke on your old man?” He places a hand on my waist.
I resist the shutter that is fighting to release from my body. His ‘jokes’ aren’t quite to my taste. I was there to experience the aftermath of what happened to Babs.
His cold, dry hands grab my throat firmly. I grit my teeth, trying to stop them from chattering. Two of the chair legs lift from the floor. “You’ll be a part of it either way.”
Strangulation isn’t the best for oxygen circulation. Trying to escape from my binds is of no use. Everything sharp has been taken from my suit and it’s tied so tightly that I can barely feel my hands. Breathing no longer becomes an option and everything is starting to go out of focus again. Black spots appear in my vision.
“HEY!” a new voice erupts. “What type of pussy hurts a girl when she can’t defend herself?”
The clown’s laughs halt like he’s thinking of a comeback. My head feels like a cloud. He turns, letting me go. The chair slams into the concrete, rocking me back and forth. Coughing erupts as I attempt to breathe again. The Joker walks away from me to the form that’s growing clear to me as the black spots in my vision fade.
“That isn’t funny…” his voice has grown deep, “… but do you wanna know what is?” His smile grows unnaturally wide. The Joker lifts his crowbar. I scream when I hear a crack.
***
“Devon,” Kara’s voice breaks through my thoughts.
“He’s after me,” my voice is firm, too firm. I have to keep myself together. I turn to her.
Her face is full of confusion. “What?” she breathes.
“I saw him, on a rooftop,” I allow a heavy pause as I gather my thoughts. “The Joker,” I force out.
Clark steps out of his office. His face turns serious as he looks at me then Kara.
“He was wearing what he wore when he captured Jason and me,” I explain. “I know what I saw.” I wish I didn’t.
Clark frowns. “We need to get to the cave and tell them.” He breathes out harshly. “Kara, pick them up.” Before I can say a word wind is blowing in my face. Instinctually I turn into her chest, the feeling of weightlessness makes me nauseous. The sound of the wind echoing tells me we’re almost there and so do the blaring alarms.
“What the hell Superman?” Batman growls. He furiously types at the computer trying to silence the alarms. Tim butts in and turns them off. “What was the purpose of that, it takes two seconds to turn that shit off now I have to alert everyone everything is alright. You should know better than to show up una..”
“Bruce,” Clark’s voice booms and echoes through the cave. The Kryptonian turns to me, everyone else follows suit.
“He’s back,” I inhale. “The Joker.”
The energy in the room changes distinctly. It was once full of frustration and maybe even confusion but now… The blood vanishes from my father’s face as he looks to Clark for confirmation. His face hardens. Tim pauses then stops typing entirely and stares at me. Fear is written all over his face.
Jason’s death was not the last time we had all seen the Joker but Damian has never had the “pleasure” to be face to face with him in the year he’s been Robin. We all thought he was dead. We thought he went out with a bang and laugh, killing several hundred people in the process. Except for Bruce. He was convinced for months that he was still alive. He searched during that time but once Damian came around he stopped.
“Are you sure?” Damian’s voice pierces, like a spear through the head. Painful, surprisingly quick.
The Batman snaps his head around and gives Damian an unapproving look. Damian is still the master at trying to undermine everyone. He questions everyone’s judgment and everyone’s skills, especially mine. Since in his mind I’m the first born.
Nightwing’s face appears on the screen. His domino eyes are squinting. “Batman, report in, is there a breach?”
The bat turns to the screen.“False alarm, Nightwing. Code Green, I need you to come in. I’ll explain everything when you arrive.” Nightwing’s white eyes widen. His mouth opens to say something but instead, he nods and the screen goes black. “Drake, connect to all who were alerted to a breach.”
Tim nods, presses a few buttons, and looks to Batman. The bat presses his finger to his ear. “Anyone and everyone listening, this is a Code Green. Report immediately on the secure channel, you know where to meet.” He removes his finger from the side of his head and turns, telling Tim to turn off Batman’s comm and listen for responses. “I appreciate you for bringing in Black Bat and keeping them safe but we have work to do.”
I never understood, why he was so particular about which heroes operated on Gotham-related missions. He refused their help even when he was looking for The Joker after Jason’s death. The one and only exception he’s ever made was when he arrived at the recently exploded warehouse that Jason died in. But that wasn’t even in Gotham.
Kara turns to me, putting her hand on my face. I raise my hand to it. “I’ll be ok. I promise,” I smile. We both know I’m lying, nothing about this is going to be ok. “Go. I’ll keep you updated.”
Her eyebrows tense like when she’s determined to do something but then she breathes out. “Say the word and I’ll be there,” there’s something in her voice that kills me. She gives me a worried look as I remove her hand from my face. Then she peeks around me and makes eye contact with Drake. He’s speaking to Batwoman on comms but nods in response and she nods back like they’ve made a deal. They’ve probably talked about the potential of this situation and the best way to deal with me. Or at the very least Tim promised to keep Kara updated. I hold her hand and kiss her before she lets go and flies away.
***
I’ve taken a seat at the kitchen table in the upper part of the cave, just trying to get my thoughts together. I’ve already changed into my suit and am just waiting for the others to arrive. Damian looms in his usual spot not too far from me. The Batman is pacing around trying to come up with a plan. Tim is sitting next to me eating a poptart and drinking his usual coffee. He raises the second pop tart, offering it to me but I decline. I know if I eat it I might as well hover over the trash can waiting for it to return.
Damian’s had to have been silently standing there for fifteen minutes. Couldn’t he be a human being for fifteen minutes? He’s just standing and staring at our father waiting for orders. “Damian, I swear to god if you don’t take a seat,” I finally snap. He glares at me for a moment then walks over. He grabs my chair and pulls it back causing two of the legs to hover for a split second then slam back down. My breath hitches. He then pulls up a chair but before he can even sit down I’m standing and slamming my hands on the table.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” I can hear the laughter start to flood my senses but I know it’s not real. I blink hard. Doesn’t he understand what this means? Doesn’t he of all people understand what it’s like to have to live your worst nightmare? I look at Damian and see an all-too-familiar costume. I have to remind myself that I’m in the cave. “I have been nothing but kind and caring towards you and you’re choosing to be a brat when I can’t fucking…” My voice cracks, and I can feel my body start to shake. I put my weight on my prosthetic leg, afraid that I am going to buckle to the floor. Blood is dripping down Damian’s face. His eyes are dead. I lean on the table for more support, almost as if it’s going to save me from him. Cold hands grasp around my throat and the sound of metal hitting bone and flesh loops in my head.
A hand is placed on my shoulder. I flinch but the touch is safe and warm. I can feel my hands are on a table and I feel my brother's thumb rubbing my face.
“Dev,” he says. “You need to take a breath.” He grabs one of my hands and puts it on his chest and takes a large breath. I follow his actions and attempt to breathe myself. I’m safe. I’m in the cave, with my brothers. Jason is long dead but the rest of us are safe.

Green and Red Masterlist
Masterlist
Genre: action, angst, fluff, comfort
Pairing: platonic!Jason Todd x Devon, platonic!batfam x Devon, secondary!Kara danvers x reader
Warnings: offensive language, descriptions of violence, blood, dead bodies, and a panic attack.
Description: Devon Wayne, is dealing with their past and spending time with their girlfriend when they see a mysterious figure that feels hauntingly familiar.
Devon’s Abilities: Trained in hand-to-hand combat and is trained to use most weapons.
Word Count: 1717
It wasn’t like this was the first time that this had happened. Someone finds me on the bathroom floor gasping for air and I knew it wouldn’t be the last time either.
“Devon, look at me.”
I almost always only ever see flashes when I’m awake, the blood, the crowbar, the body. Sometimes it’s just the sound, of screaming. Almost always screaming. The type that makes you nauseous. Sometimes mine. Sometimes my fathers. And sometimes his. God my chest hurts, I try to breathe but I’m met with fire in my lungs.
“Sis, I need… focus…at me.”
I blink hard, trying to dig myself out of the hole I’m in. The person in front of me has dark hair, which doesn’t do much in helping me figure out who it is. But I can’t breathe, this shouldn’t matter. It’s hard to grasp what’s real, the sound of metal hitting concrete or calming whispers. They’re both fuzzy and wrong, this shouldn’t be happening. A hand on my face, its thumb attempting to soothe me. Dick. Dad would be rubbing my back, if I even allowed him to be near me.
It’s not like I want to remember but sometimes I feel like I deserve it. You get what you earn, right? I’m the one that survived.
“Start noting things in the room, to ground you.” His voice is shaking a little but it’s soothing nonetheless.
I see his face, Jason’s face, so clearly for a second. It’s covered in blood and I can’t help but stare. His dead eyes stare back. A hand guides mine, drifting over what feels like smooth ice, tile. I’m not there, it’s not the concrete of the warehouse. I’m not looking at my dead best friend, it’s just Dick. I grab his hand that's on mine and count his fingers. He’s real and that's all I need to know for now.
I take my first full breath and try to stand.
***
I’m sitting in the study with my head bowed down as my father paces across the floor. He’s fidgeting with the sleeve of his jacket and his shoes are loudly thumping on the carpeted hardwood.
“We have to talk about this, it's been months.” He never sounds like this, desperate. “At this point, you don't have to talk to me. Talk to Dick or Alfred, I’ll track down your mom. I’ll get you Dinah or a priest, just tell someone. You’ve shut everyone out and you know that I’ve been here. You know what I’ve lost and been through, you’re old enough to know and understand all of it now!”
I could feel tears prickling my eyes, threatening to overflow as I blinked them away. I couldn’t look at him. His pain just increased mine. Couldn’t we be done with this?
“Jesus, Helena, let me help you,” he almost screamed. Bruce put his hand on my shoulder. “Please,” his voice broke. A sob escaped my throat. One that had been building up in my months-long silence. He knelt down and you clung to him.
***
“He needs this.” I looked down at a boy, four years younger than me. Who is currently studying a Batarang.
“I can’t. I can’t do this again.”
I turned to your father, knowing what had to be done. “He’ll just go out on his own… He’ll die. You know it. Do you want that?”
“Will you be okay with this?” The sob bubbling in his throat was audible. But it is one that will never come out.
“Will you?” No.
Silence.
Neither of you would survive another dead Robin.
“He would hate this.” I laugh. “He would think that we’re replacing him. But we both know we’ll never be able to do that.”
*****
“Babe, we’re gonna be late!” I yell to my girlfriend in the apartment we share.
“Ready!”
God, couldn’t I have super speed? It would make everything so much easier. “I hate when you do that.”
“I know.” she grinned, tucking back one of my loose hairs. “But you love me anyways.”
I give her an unimpressed smile. Which is a secret code for ‘I definitely love you’. “There may be another reason.” I lunge my body out to stare obviously at her ass.
“Oh stop that!” I love when that happens. When she gets frustrated and her accent comes out. She slaps my arm. Hard, leaving a slight sting. She’s sometimes too strong for her own good. God, what I’d do to give her everything she deserves and desires?
She doesn’t talk about it much, her home, Krypton. So I never ask, I know it’s painful. Losing a person. I couldn’t even start to imagine the pain of losing your whole planet. But the days she does talk about it, I allow themself to continue the conversation but I never push. She’s told me stories about various gardens her parents would take her to, school, going to her parents' work, her friends, the birth of her baby cousin, and she’s shared some about the death of Krypton. She’s as healed as one could expect.
Some days she’s just angry, I saw the footage years before I even met her. She feels alone, she lost everyone she ever knew. But she finds hope in Clark, Connor, and Jon. Sometimes even Krypto. She says she sees it in me, too. But I don't know if I believe that. I hope maybe her days will continue to shine brighter.
I kiss her lovingly, grab her purse, and lead her out the door of the Gotham apartment.
***
Kara giggles when we arrive at the Daily Planet and go into the building. She slips her hand on my back as the elevator doors open to the top floor. Clark makes eye contact with me and smiles. He makes his way over and gives us both a hug, he better be glad I love him.
“Hiya, kid!” God, he’s so much but I don’t feel the life sucked out of me at the very least. He invited us both because Kara wanted to see about talking to someone for an interview and I wanted to make a few deals with CEOs.
“How’s Jon?” she smiles.
His smile grows. Is he glowing? Is that one of his abilities? I swear I can’t keep up. “He’s doing great, since he started middle school he’s really enjoyed anything art…”
I see Lois walking this way. Thank god. Clark’s great but she’s always been my favorite.
“…I’m really proud of him. He really seems to just want to help people.” Lois taps him on his shoulder. His face softens to something closer to admiration rather than pride. “Hi.” Her face reflects his, softening a little. I look at Kara and she looks at me. I’m glad that we’re like them. Her face is as soft as Clark’s and I know I am in bliss.
“So,” Lois starts, she grabs Kara’s arm, “I can start to introduce you to everyone.”
Lois leads Kara away and I turn to Clark. “Wanye Enterprises has a Banquet in two weeks. I would love to see both of you there. Either as friends or journalists, whichever you prefer.”
“I’m sure we could both find good stories to pursue there.” He pats the side of my arm, his face is showing pride again.
I was what? Two or three when Bruce decided he need some extra help with me and Dick. Or that’s what he likes to say but Clark told me he wiggled himself into our lives after meeting Robin. I of course don't remember meeting him so he’s just always been there, my Uncle Clark. I was six when I figured out he was Superman. I was the one that told Dick. It was obvious and he should’ve figured it out before me.
“Send us the details for it and we’ll be there.”
I excuse myself and find a few CEOs to chat with, I tell them of the Banquet and how it will help both Gotham and Metropolis. Whatever bullshit will make them attend and empty their wallets. I even convince some to talk to Kara about a story.
I climbed the ladder at Wayne Enterprises faster and younger than anyone could expect. People like to say it is because I’m Bruce’s child but I quickly prove to them that I am worthy of my position. It took a little while for people to even consider calling me charming. I was a little rough around the edges in my late teens. When I stopped being as angry all the time was when I perfected my skills and began to excel at manipulating million and billionaires.
At some point during the night, my hair started to stand on end. I wasn’t sure what it was but I’ve learned to trust my instincts, it has saved my life more times than I could count. Something is wrong, I can feel it in my bones.
People started to trickle out. By eleven everyone has left, it’s just four of us now.
We all start to clean up, most things go in the trash but anything salvageable we pack up to donate. Once everything is cleaned and put away, Lois and Clark grab their things from their offices as Kara takes me by my arm and walks me to the elevator. She presses the button causing it to light up. Something is really wrong, I look around while we wait. Nothing is different, nothing looks off. I’ve been here a million times and nothing has changed. I would know. That’s when I look out the window.
A figure outside on a rooftop. My pulse starts racing and I feel my body start to shake. Something is familiar about it. I let go of Kara’s arm, walking closer to the window. Each step is slow like I’m trying not to scare it away. My instincts kick in and I crouch down a little.
“What’s wrong?” Kara’s voice is deeper than usual. Serious.
A figure stands on a rooftop, he’s staring at me. Most of his body is obscured by the darkness, but I see a red helmet. No. This is wrong, he shouldn’t be there. This isn’t right. I blink hard because this can’t be real and in the next moment, he’s gone.

Read on AO3
I am once again rewriting….So updates coming soon with changes
What if Helena Bertinelli was raised by Bruce Wayne? (and a nonbinary lesbian... because why not?) or Devon Wayne thought they were done with their past but then they see a mysterious figure that feels hauntingly familiar. or This was originally a self-insert work but after finding out Helena Bertinelli was originally Helena Wayne, I found a more interesting way to tell the story. Devon being a non-binary lesbian is purely self-indulgent. I apologize to any Helena fans because I will upkeep no promises to be true to Helena's comic counterpart.
Chapter 1: Hope
Chapter 2: Jokes and Games
Chapter 3: coming soon

Fic Request Rules
Request Status: OPEN
My Masterlist
-What do I write?
I write primarily Marvel or DC reader insert one-shots. More specifically I enjoy writing wlw fics but I am comfortable with mostly anything. I also love writing hurt/comfort and angst but fluff is welcome too! You’re welcome to request another fandom but I will only write it if I am familiar enough with it and I may ask you to ask for another character/fandom. I am a part of most major fandoms so just ask and I’ll probably say yes.
I’m a non binary lesbian so I prefer writing about shit I can relate to but I’m not picky…
-What types of requests do I take?
Headcannons, prompts, imagines, and just about anything! Please do not be too vague with your request! AKA say more than just character x reader.
Saying “Bucky” or “Kara Danvers x reader” is not specific enough! Please go into a little more detail with a headcannon, prompt, imagine, etc
-Do I write ships/Do I take ship requests?
Yes but I mainly write character x reader at the moment. You are welcome to request a ship (like Stucky or Supercorp or whatever you would like!). But I’m trying to expand into more non-self insert stuff.
-What do I refuse to write about?
incest, pedophilia/underage character x adult, and if I feel uncomfortable with a request I will let you know and we can figure something out.
I also will not write about pregnancy, childbirth, or parenting (I just have no experience in that and feel like I wouldn’t be unable to write it properly)
My Masterlist
Thanks for reading! Requests are OPEN!

A figure outside on a rooftop. Your pulse is racing and you feel your body start to shake. Something is familiar about it. You let go of Kara’s arm, walking closer to the window. Each step is slow like you’re trying not to scare it away. Your instincts kick in and you couch down a little.
“What’s wrong?” Kara’s voice is deeper than usual. Serious.
A figure stands on a rooftop, he’s staring at you. Most of his body is obscured by the darkness but you do see a red helmet. No. This is wrong, he shouldn’t be there. This isn’t right. You blink hard and in the next moment, he’s gone.

The New Kid: The Future
Ch. 9
The New Kid Masterlist
My Masterlist
Genre: Fluff, Angst, Fix-it, Self-Insert, Pairing: Peter & Lesbian!reader, Avengers & Reader, Wanda x Reader, background Steve x Bucky, Shuri x reader if you squint Warnings: swearing, talk of dead loved ones, Description: Some Wakandans come for a visit. Reader’s Powers: Healer, telepath, and empath. Word Count: 1473
“Shit. Shit. Shit,” mumbled the billionaire. You jumped out of your seat because usually that meant that his hand was about to be cut off. “What?” He raised his head and stared at me with wide eyes, “I fucking forgot!” You paused, “Forgot what?” “That king is coming tomorrow !” He stared at me with dread. After pulling himself off of his metaphorical ledge he quickly came to a stopping point, yelled instructions at FRIDAY, and frantically ran to the stairs. “Y/n, clean up and get out!” he yelled while trying not to trip and fall.
“Good luck!” you yelled. Since Thanos came Wakanda and the Avengers have been working together to maintain global peace. From your knowledge Tony’s only physical interaction with any of them was when Wakanda’s King T’Chaka was killed and their then prince joined his side to stop half of the other Avengers…. so you assumed that Tony was feeling pretty intimidated. And that’s from the guy who turned a weapons company to one the produces clean energy that has made the threat of Climate Change almost dissipate. But you of course know that Pepper did all of the heavy lifting while Tony created an AI who almost destroyed the world. Okay…. now that you think about it he probably has a good reason to be scared that he’s gonna fuck this up.
“I’ve heard she’s nice,” Peter poked while you both got dressed. “…and incredibly smart, I'm sure smarter than your dumbass” you teased. He groaned and rolled his neck. “Come on, you know what I mean,” his eyebrows wiggled. You finished tucking in your blouse only sighing in response. He stared at you, wiggling his eyebrows a little harder. Hoping for a reaction. “You’re an ass,” you stared back, “And I’m not even out to anyone here anyways.” “Why do you think I got you that flag?” his voice went up at the end, slightly cracking. “Fuck off,” you retorted grining from ear to ear. He flipped you off and then tripped over some shoes on the floor. “For someone who has the Peter Tingle,” you reached your hand out to help him up, “you sure are clumsy.” “It doesn’t work on shoes,” he said, accepting your hand. “Excuse me,” the AI voice rang overhead. You both jumped with Peter screaming, “OH GOD.” “Yes?” you giggled. “The Wakandans are soon to arrive. Mr. Stark said and I quote ‘If you don’t get your asses up here in the next 5 minutes you're not allowed to work in the lab for a month.’ So I would recommend that you head up soon.” “Thanks,” you said to the voice. You turned to Peter and grinned, “I’ll race you to the elevator.”
“Calm down,” the brunette whispered, nudging you. Excitement. “I am calm.” “I can literally feel the anxiety radiating off of you… wait is that a part of your powers?” You paused, staring at him, “I. Dont. Think. So?” “Hmph. Fair enough. I didn’t find out about…” “The Peter Tingle,” you teased, interrupting. “Until forever later,” he said in monotone, not impressed. “Hey,” said a voice behind you, Wanda, you'd know her anywhere. You felt her lightly touch your elbow, grabbing your attention away from your slightly grumpy best friend. You smiled, “Hi.” Her cheeks lit up, “Are you excited to meet them? They’re nice, and Shuri’s intelligence compares to yours so I think you will like her.” You followed her every word, nodding in response. Panic. “I haven’t seen them since…um…” She paused, that was a common occurrence, she’d either be making sure you were paying attention or collecting her thoughts. This was different, quiet. Almost like she was afraid to say it. Oh. Thanos. “Him,” you completed. She nodded, it's only been a year and a half since then so most wounds aren’t fully healed. Lives were lost… Loves were lost. You pushed the topic away, that was something you could think about at another time, the Avenger’s main priority for the day was to get the Wakandans’ settled before tomorrow night’s party. You’d be able to meet more of the Avengers. The next thing you know, a ship lands in the loading dock. It's very futuristic, even for Avengers standards. It’s definitely the coolest thing you’ve seen in person. When it landed, it opened, it sort of made you think of the cave in Aladdin. It was very dramatic. First, three women stepped out, warriors. You know that Wakanda has an elite force of female warriors, which is badass. You can’t remember their name. Then, the king steps out, King T’Challa. He’s calm, happy. He and his companions walk up to Tony and Steve. He first fakes a formal greeting then gives them both hugs, like old friends. Which you are pretty sure they are at this point. God, the warriors are honestly terrifying, and they radiate it too. Some seem slightly bored but most of them are on high alert and you are confident that they can defeat any threat that may appear. “Slow down brother,” a voice yelled from the ship. A skinny, dark skinned woman appeared from the ship's entrance. “I had not even noticed that we had arrived and you are already greeting everyone!” One of the warriors stared at her, she radiated a different type of authority from the others, a stronger type. “I told you that we were about to land five minutes ago,” she spoke in a hushed tone, still trying to be formal, although both the King and the woman who you are now assuming is Princess Shuri. “Well, excuse me but I was doing something important, Okoye!” stated the Princess who was obviously teasing. “I would not call ‘Tiktok’ important.” “I’m doing research on American culture, Peter told me it was the best way to know what people my age do here.” Shuri was walking in your and Peter’s direction now, not caring to actually look your way though. Anxiety. Peter started to say something but decided not to. The girl was now three feet infront of the boy. She stopped for a moment, finishing typing something. “I thought that you didn’t know her,” you whispered. “We text,” the boy shrugged. Oh, they're called the Dora Milaje! The woman finally put her phone away and looked up at Peter. Grins slowly grew on their faces. Joy. “Now, Doctor Spider, what are your latest accomplishments?” Shuri said in a posh british accent, trying her best not to laugh. “Well, I have worked on many projects since we last met, possibly I could show you?” he replied, sounding like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. The two linked elbows and started to turn to leave. “Don’t burn down the lab!” Tony instructed in a fatherly tone. Doctor Spider paused for a moment, nodded his head and linked his other elbow into yours. You in return linked yours with Wanda’s.
“Peter, this is brilliant!” The Princess exclaimed. “But it could still use some improvements. If I gave you some vibranium for these connections, your whole suit would run that much smoother. I mean.. it would run better if we only used vibranium but that’s not going to happen. I believe there is some available vibranium in my lab–we can do it now or later.” Peter nodded, maybe a little too excitedly and started collecting his suit to take it to the other lab. “Sorry, Wanda, with all of this science talk. It looks like it’s all going over your head.” Shuri grimiced. “No, no, I’ve actually started to enjoy it.” She looked at you for a split second and you could swear your heart stopped beating. “I don’t always understand it but it almost sounds like a spell so it's familiar. Vis used to ramble on about these things to me not much unlike Y/n does.” “I’m glad I don’t bore you when I bring you up here,” you smirked. “So, Y/n,” Shuri started. “What are you doing here? I know you’re Peter’s friend and your intelligence almost rivals mine. But you,” she waved her hand in the general direction of the three of you, “tend to have tragic backstories. Most are orphans” Shaw gave an awkward glance towards Peter and Wanda. “Are you an orphan too?” She glared. “I’m joking!” In a split second her demeanor changed. “That was way too personal wasn’t it” She whispered, looking at Peter. He nodded. “Excuse me,” F.R.I.D.A.Y interrupted. Causing you to jump. “Miss Maximoff, Agent Romanoff has requested your presence in the conference room immediately.” “I’ll head that way,” Wanda responded. “I have to go. I will… see you later.” She squeezed your hand and left. “Can we go to your lab?” Peter almost squealed out with excitement, his suit now in his hands.

My Masterlist
Genre: Angst, Fluff
Pairing: Steve x Bucky
Warnings: None
Summary/Request(none): Steve returns the infinity stones and Peggy points out the obvious.
Word Count: 971
All that he had wanted to do was tell him how he felt. That’s it he wanted to tell Steve that he was in love with him but then Steve told him what he was doing. Where he was going or when to be more exact. Steve said that he could come with him but Bucky knew that he couldn’t go back… he wasn’t that person anymore and he couldn’t act like he was.
“Steve, you only knew her for a year. Are you sure you want to go back?”
“Yeah… she’s all that I can think about. That dance. I owe that to her at least. Maybe more if she wants but you get it right? Do you get it… why am I doing this?”
“I don’t know. Sort of I guess? But how can you leave this life behind… how can you leave everyone behind?” How could you leave me behind?
“You didn’t know her… Nat. She was brilliant and kind and the strongest woman I’ve ever met, including Peggy. I just don’t know how I could stay here without her. I don’t think I could stay in this time without knowing she’s out there somewhere.” There was silence. Long. Dreadful. Most of all sad. Tears were flowing down Steve’s face and Bucky was fighting his which were wheeling up in a dam that was about to burst. “I just, you weren’t here those five years… they were hard and lonely. Nat had her own way of dealing with it and I had mine. I know that if she was still here that I wouldn’t leave, couldn’t leave. But if you want me to stay I can. If you want me… to stay with you I can.”
“No,” he paused, realizing what he was saying, telling the man he loved. “Go be with her. Go get your happy ending. You have that right. You have that right to be selfish this one time because you damn well deserve it!” That’s when the floodgates were released.
He knew what this meant Steve on the platform, they already said their goodbyes but none of it was processing, none of it was okay. With that Bruce sent Steve back to the past. “He’s gone, '' Bucky thought. He’s going to live the rest of his life without him.
“Steve, you bloody idiot!” The brunette woman yelled, who was very tempted to whack him. “You Americans truly are blind!”
“Calm down, Peggy. What the hell are you talking about?” Replied the blond, bewildered man.
“What am I talking about? What are you talking about? Bucky’s alive and you came here?“ Her yelling was growing quieter and quieter, becoming almost sympathetic but she was still astounded by what she was hearing. “You left him, to see me, to be with me?”
Steve was stunned by this response, why would she care so much about him leaving Bucky behind?
Peggy studded his face realizing that he truly is clueless. “He loves you, dumbass! He’s IN love with you!” She was practically pleasing at this point for the man to understand.
The soldier’s face was in complete surprise, his eyebrows lifted and his mouth agape.
She knew it, she already knew that Steve loved Bucky back but this was what confirmed it, what tipped the scale. That little twinkle in his eyes, the corner of his mouth that was slightly upturned. “And you love him back.”
“I can’t…”
“No, Steve, you can’t stay here. I’ve moved on!” She really had. She had healed and him dancing with her for the firs-last time had answered those questions that had remained. The fear that he was dead, captured, tortured was gone because he was right there. A fog covered her eyes. “You have to go back, you gave me that dance and now you have to go on and live without me. Be happy without me because I’ll be just fine. Just like I have been, I'll be happy and now it’s your turn to have that! I know that you love me still but I love you too much for you to stay.”
The man stared at her having so much he could say, he gave her one last goodbye. After that, he was gone.
He knew what this meant Steve on the platform, they already said their goodbyes but none of it was processing, none of it was okay. With that Bruce sent Steve back to the past. “He’s gone, '' Bucky thought. He’s going to live the rest of his life without him.
But then there he was again, with a round case one hand and a smiling teary face, and Bucky smiled back.
“You came.”
Steve walked down handing Sam the case he was holding. He stood before Bucky looking him up and down. “I really am an idiot aren’t I?”
“The biggest,” the brunette beamed. Was this really happening? Did Steve really not leave him? Is he really standing before him about to do what had wanted to do for too long?
The men stared at each other for a second but just a second because in the next their lips had clashed together. They took in the moment remembering the pine smell, the birds chirping in the trees, and the surprised look on Sam’s face that they had seen the moment before. Their lips departed both of them drunk on that first kiss that was overdue by about eighty years.
“Um, do y’all need a moment? Cause we can leave.” Sam turned to Bruce motioning him to leave.
A laugh escaped Bucky’s lips. “Don’t worry we’re leaving.” He wrapped his arm around Steve’s waist and started to drag him to the car. “And that’s yours.” He motioned to the round case.
“Congrats, Captain.” Steve allowed Bucky to drag him while he saluted their friend.

The New Kid: Dream or Reality- DELETED SCENE
The New Kid Masterlist
Genre: angst
Pairing: Peter & Lesbian!reader , Avengers & Reader
Warnings:
Description: Bucky’s POV
Reader’s Powers: Healing, telepathy, and empath.
Word Count: 285
Bucky let out a deep long sigh. Of course, he couldn’t go to sleep. Typical. He rubbed his face sitting up in his boyfriend’s bed.
Steve stirred in bed, recognizing Bucky’s movements. “You ok?” Steve barely managed to whisper out, still mostly asleep.
“I’m fine,” he rubbed Steve’s arm. “I’m just going to make some tea.”
Steve grunted. Knowing Bucky wouldn’t keep anything from him.
“Sergeant Barnes,” FRIDAY urgently called.
“Yes?” the man replied. He was now sitting in the living room reading a book.
“Y/n seems to be in distress. She seems to be struggling to breathe.”
Bucky stood up instantly, dropping his book. He ran to her room not slowing until he was at her bedside. The bedding was twisted and tangled, most likely from a lot of uncontrolled movement. Y/n is gasping, you’re sweaty and you look desperate.
“Shit, Y/n.,” Bucky sits beside you, gently shaking you trying to wake you.
What came next was a noise that no one, especially Bucky, ever wanted to hear. A blood-curdling scream escaped your lips, it was desperate and anguishful.
“FRIDAY, don’t let anyone in, tell them I have her.”
“Yes, Sargent.”
After an hour you had finally fallen back asleep. Bucky was stressed and tired. He was mourning with you, blaming himself partially for the death of Ava. He carefully stood up, being careful not to disturb you in your slumber.
He rubbed his face as he opened your door and walked back to his room. When he opened the door two blue eyes were staring at him.
The blond man before him had been reading a book but his full attention was now on Bucky. “Is she okay?”
“No.”

***********************************************
“Mom, I’ll be home soon don’t worry.” You stepped out of the car that had just arrived at your best friend’s house. “I just need to get this homework to Ava.” You hung up and started to walk to the front door. You pushed the front door open and made your way upstairs to her room.
“Ava, I got your homework,” you said, opening her door. You looked up, expected her to be in her bed. She wasn’t. You froze, your hand raised to cover your now agape mouth.
Her body was dangling down from the ceiling. She was lifeless and limp. Her face was relaxed but her eyes… they were still open. They stared at you looking deep within your soul judging you for not being there for her, for not saving her from herself.
“No. No. No.” Your frozen body came back to life. You rushed to stand on the bed and to get her down. “Help!” you screamed hoping someone would hear you. You struggled against her weight but eventually got her free causing her body to slam to the ground.
You knelt to the ground and pulled her into your arms. “Ava.” You shook her, hoping that maybe she would wake up. “AVA, PLEASE,” you cried. Her neck was red and purple, obviously broken. She’s dead. You wept and pulled her close. “Please, God. Please! Save her.” You paused looking at her now lifeless, cold form trying to understand it all. “Ava, please. I was... I was gonna tell you.” You gently moved her face to look at you. You stared into her hauntingly blank eyes. “Please come back to me.” You wept making it hard for you to breathe. “I wa-was gonna tell you and I was going to ask you to formal.” You sobbed and cried holding onto her. You put her forehead to yours. “Please come back to me. Please. I love you.” She’s dead. You failed. You couldn’t save her. That was your job, to keep her safe. You let out a long cry.
***********************************************
“Y/n, you gotta wake up. You’re having a nightmare.” A calm, deep voice reassured you. “Y/n/n.”
You sat up quickly. You can’t breathe. “Where is she?” You threw your bedding off and stood up. You have to find Ava. “Where’s Ava?!” You turned to the Brunette man on your bed.
“Shh, Y/n, calm down. Who’s Ava?” He asked with his brows furrowed. Worry. He stood up cautiously and had his arms out like he was in front of a rabid animal that was seconds away from devouring him whole.
You had a realization in that moment. Your brain finally woke up. Oh, god no. You collapsed to the floor in sobs. Ava’s dead. She killed herself four years ago, during the blip. When you weren’t there when you left her.
He joined you there, he pulled you into him. “Shh, doll. You’re ok, you're safe.” A cold, metal hand, held your head in his chest while the flesh arm wrapped around you in a hug. Worry.
You gasped for air. Trying to calm yourself but you struggled. “She’s gone,” you wept.
“Ava?” he breathed out.
You nodded.
“Was she what your nightmare was about?”
You cried harder.
“Okay, doll. Let’s just sit here.”
You were both on the bed now. You were under the covers, tucked into his side with his arm wrapped around you.
“When I first woke up, after the blip. I was standing in an empty lot,” you started, your voice was shaky and raspier than usual. “Turns out my school closed during those five years and I was the only one from it that blipped.” A chuckle escaped your lips. “I had to walk home, it took hours. Once I was caught up on what happened. I tried to find her. It took a few weeks, but I contacted her mom and…”
Bucky held you tighter. Guilt.
“She told me th-that um A-ava had…” another sob escaped you and you turned fully into the man.
Both of his arms were wrapped around you, his right hand was rubbing your arm in reassurance.
“…killed herself,” your voice broke through your whisper. But you both heard it and you finally understood. Your mind had finally caught back up to reality. You would never be able to tell her that you’re in love with her. Your world is destroyed. Peter had put a band-aid on a bullet wound so here you are mourning her at last. She’s gone and you’ll never get to see her again. “Friends helped at first but they were all so much older now and had moved on, moved on from me, from her. Some kept up with me but they all drifted away eventually. I was so numb after that. I didn’t even cry until months later, not until I figured Peter out.”
You paused and sat up for this next part. “Everything was so overwhelming and I just… I didn’t know what to do so I umm.” You pulled away from Bucky and stared at the floor. Your whole body was shaking. Why were you telling him this? Why him? Why now? You felt disgusted and ashamed for what you did. You regret it, you so regret it but at that point, it seemed so logical. It felt so easy and so hard at the same time. You fought it off for weeks, but your mind had finally won you over and told you that you’d never be okay again. But you wanna know what the worst part of it is? You still want to sometimes. “I tried to um I tried to...” Why are you telling him? Don’t tell him. He’ll be disgusted by you.
Bucky had his hand on yours. You could feel his sadness radiating off him. You let out a sob. “Y/n, I’m here.”
You nodded, you couldn’t stand to look at him. “I remember waiting for so long. I um looked back at my arms and they were healed.” A laugh escaped your lips. That probably isn’t the right reaction. “I tried again, I basically tore them apart but they just healed. I was so fucking angry so fucking infuriated that I gave up completely. I spent my time lying in bed doing nothing. I just stared at the wall, dreaming of seeing her again, refusing to believe that she was gone. But also hating myself for not being able to be with her. One night I was scrolling through Instagram, hoping to have a shred of happiness and there he was, Peter. With his and Ned’s dorky grins so pleased with themselves. So pleased that they built the Death Star.” You let out a laugh. Was it genuine? You didn’t know but what you did know was that tears were streaming down your face. “He helped a lot. He was a good distraction but I’ve never actually mourned her. Not completely at least. I’ve cried for her a few times but I’ve been so caught up in wanting to love her that I couldn’t accept that she’s gone.”
Sadness. He looked like you had just torn his whole world apart. “Grief is hard. It’s terrible but it’s something you have to go through. Y/n, I am SO sorry. Now, what do you need me to do?”
Summary: Y/n has a nightmare about her best friend, Ava, who Y/n was in love with. Bucky wakes Y/n up from her nightmare and Y/n tells Bucky about Ava’s suicide during the five years of the blip and her own attempted suicide where she discovered her healing abilities.
