“What? Oh yeah, good.” Martin sighed a little bit, looking over at her for a moment. “Actually...I want to talk to you.” 

“Are you okay?” Nina asked, coming up towards the person as they’d been sitting there in the restaurant for quite a while now. “Can I get you anything?”

She let out a soft gasp in surprise and leaned into the kiss. It was only a moment before she was pulling back, scrapping her teeth along her bottom lip. “Well… happy new year…” 

Martin smiled over at the woman for a moment, before looking around a little bit. “Can I buy you a drink or something?” He questioned, as he looked back towards her.

“Trust me, I get that.” Freya said, offering him a slight smile. “I’m fine, just… a little tired.”

“I get that also.” Martin did his best to smile. “You aren’t from here are you?”

“Are you okay?” She wouldn’t normally have intruded in someone else’s life randomly but she couldn’t help but think he looked a bit down. Maybe more than a bit, she didn’t know, but she could relate to having a lot on your mind.

“Hate to say this but that is loaded question.” Martin should be enjoying himself right now but he couldn’t. Not with all the shit going on with his family. “What about you?”

She offered him a tight smile. “Thanks… guess she’s had one too many.” A pause. “Or five too many from the looks of it.” 

“Totally looks like five too many.” Martin stated, helping her with the girl to get her outside.

“It’s okay.” Martin shifted a little bit. He had been standing outside of the police station for awhile. Debating on if he should go in or not. That place currently held his parents in it. Because of Duncan. Fucking Duncan. Fucking Jackson. Assholes.

“Sorry.” Freya scrunched her nose, feeling a bit embarrassed as she was caught staring, quickly looking away from the guy who had been sitting on the bench near her.

“Oh, wow, this is amazing. Have you seen anything as wonderful as this?”

“No I haven’t. But I can help you look.” Martin offered, looking over at her for a moment.

“Hi, have you seen my daughter Maggie?” She asked the person in front of her as she searched everywhere for her. Leah was hoping she would run into someone who have seen her. She didn’t want to think of the worst just yet. @secretsummerstarters​
