Currently reading: Buffalo Hunter Hunter and ho. le. crap. This book is intense and crazy and damn. WHOA. I'm about halfway through rn. Super curious to see how the story continues and how it ends

Last song: Some of my kid's music on the way home that I'm not gonna say here 🙊😅

Last film: The Conjuring Last Rites. It was a solid movie and I really enjoyed it! There was one particular jump scare that got me so good I actually made a noise in the movie theater. WHOOPS. Maybe it shouldn't have been so gross and creepy and I wouldn't have gaspsquealed!!

Last series: Slowly working my way through The Last Kingdom! In S3 atm and loving it! Beocca is one of my faves tbh hahaha I love him

Sweet/savory/salty: YES

Tea or coffee: Coffee, defs! I love a good cup of tea now and again too, but coffee has my heart. Unless I'm pregnant then it tastes NAstay

Working on: I'm actually working on an Aemond fic series!! For the first time in forever! I haven't wrote Aemond since June of last year. DAMN. Once upon a time I tried writing a series and ultimately failed. BUT I learned a lot from the process. This time I'm going to write the whole thing first and have it completely finished before posting it as chapters. So, no promises, but it def has my motivation right now and I'm pluggin away on it! I'm really really hoping to see it through ♥

A bit of sappiness to start the day, but I've woken up in a good mood.

I enjoy scrolling the dash and seeing writer mutuals receiving praise for their work, either via reblogs or anons that send genuinely heartfelt feedback about their stories, it's just lovely to see.

I feel like fandom gets bogged down quite often in etiquette posts or general anxiety about posting snippets/fics in the first place because of worry about how it'll be received, so we often forget that this is the whole point.

Community spirit lies at the heart of fandom, and for those of you who write, I hope you continue to feel inspired to do so. You deserve to feel good about what you create, and don't ever allow yourself or anyone else to downplay it, because having the motivation to not just start a creative project, but to see it through to the end and be brave enough to share it with others is actually such an incredible thing. Please never forget that.

Not trying to get ahead of myself, BUT for the first time in a vvvvvery long time I not only wrote a prologue for an Aemond fic series that's been in my head FOREVER, but jotted down 5 chapters and an epilogue for it as well 🥹 The muses are musing! Gonna see how far this inspiration takes me, and see if I can actually write the damn thing!!

It's a fae inspired Aemond x Alys x smallfolk fem reader fic with emphasis on folklore, eerie tones, and undertones of horror. I think September is opening my brain for those spooky vibes and I'm running with it!
