BBC Manchester came to our Bolton Continental Market!
Our Bolton Continental Market was a success despite the bad weather and cold winds! On Saturday morning BBC Manchester came down to our market to visit us and see what was on offer!
We were joined by the lovely Becky Want in Victoria Square who interviewed several traders including George the Greek, selling a variety of traditional pastries all made on site. Becky took a liking to George, nicknaming him Gorgeous George and tasting some of his delicious foods he had to offer.
Gaspare of Tentazioni UK Ltd from Italy also travels with Market Place Europe all over the country exploring different locations every week! He brings his tasty biscuits, chocolate and fudge, all from Italy as he returns to Bolton for another busy 2013 schedule. If you wish to hear these interviews in full please visit and skip to 1 hour, 40 minutes in to the show.
Later in the show (2 hours, 20 mins) Beckie was joined by Richard Nijboer from Holland who brought flowers from all over Holland, which he displays in lovely tin buckets. Merili also joined in the fun as her stall from from Finland brought 100% wool jumpers, flints, soft toys, and hats which definitely did not go unnoticed by Becky.
If you wish to listen to the show and hear what all the traders had to say, please visit: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0162c18

RAISING MONEY FOR COMIC RELIEF!
As today is officially Red Nose Day, the Market Place team has been thinking of what we can do to raise money to help save lives and transform the lives of those who need our help the most.
Managing Director of Market Place, Allan Hartwell has told staff that he will donate £100 to the Red Nose charity for each member of staff who wear their Red Nose all day. Naturally we went and got loads of noses and they have not left our faces yet! It's all for a great cause and we want to thank Allan for his great generosity, it is all for charity at the end of the day!
