Today my Friend Francis and I went on a beautiful adventure! We drove down the California Coast to Pescadero. We started at @duartestavern and then took a drive up the old Stage Coach road as far as we could go until scores of trees downed by the recent storms finally blocked the road! We turned around and headed up the mountain towards Cupertino; what a beautiful drive! The road was mostly clear, lots of downed trees, mudslides, rushing streams and tiny waterfalls at every turn, and it was spectacular, as the sunlight came streaming to the forest floor. Tuesday, we are both flying to Kansas City for my Sisters Wedding and then starting a 9 state cross country trip to San Francisco, with a van full of antiques, tins, displays, ephemera, signs and more that is currently in storage in 3 states before we make our way back to The Pressroom and Mercantile of @theboxsfmercantile 🎉 I am grateful and excited to have the perfect travel partner for this adventure... now all we need is dry roads! Tomorrow for the first time since the Pandemic, @francisoffrance and I are going to @duartestavern for lunch! Duartes has served up incredible food and drinks since 1894 in Pescadero California! They are an incredibly historic restaurant and roadhouse on the Old Stage Road and as a @beardfoundation award winner.
