Maternity Street Style

In the city centre of Torino in Italy I encountered this pregnant woman. She walked into the light with her perfect silhouette showing on the wall. She was in her third trimester and waiting to give birth.

This week I read an article on a blog about the baby box in Finland. All expecting mothers receive a box from the governement filled with a selection of clothes, bedding, and products used in the first few months of a baby's life. It's a tradition that dates back to the 1930s and it's designed to give all children in Finland, no matter what background they're from, an equal start in life. Some say it helped Finland achieve one of the world's lowest infant mortality rates.
