the vast and splendid firmament
the deep and mighty waters
skies and oceans, timeless and boundless
unknown of beginnings
unbeknownst of ends
they voyage into the undefined
anticipating a magnificent collision
they journey together
trailing the edges of existence
parallel yet perpetually apart
eternal wanderers
leaving behind silent echoes
tracing the edges of the universe
yet, never intertwining with each other

something about these abandoned places on rainy days
a subtle silence in the noise of the mizzle and drizzle
as nature reclaims the forgotten spaces
you see there's beauty in decay
and life persists in quiet corners
a tender resilience

the sky might become sullen;
but the greener grass,
the brilliant leaves &
the vibrantly hued bloom beg to differ.

"When the moon came to her full / she was so bright / and so beautiful / that the sun entered the garden / and looked on with a sigh."
- the Moon, Mary Oliver
Remember clicking this one with an old camera and being so proud and excited, all because I could see the craters of the moon in a picture I clicked.

You know what's insane and underrated and not made a big deal out of?
Literally seconds before Harry died in the forest, he thought of Ginny. Not his parents, not Ron and Hermione, not anyone else. He thought of Ginny, her eyes and the way her lips felt on his. That's it. Then he looked into Voldemort's eyes and just died.
The series stake love in such a high place. I've read the novels so many times and it never seizes to amaze me. It really puts into perspective how powerful love is and the lack of it that lead to the unfortunate circumstances. Love is so powerful. Beyond any kind of magic.
- The love of his mother saved Harry when he was just a year old and for rest of the years that followed till the death of Voldemort.
- The love of a mother saved Harry again the forest. If not for the selfless and desperate love that Narcissa had for Malfoy, she never would've been able to look Voldemort, a powerful legilimens in the eye and just blatantly lie.
- The love he had for Ginny, somehow gave him courage in the forest, I think. For unknown reasons, I'm sure of it.
- Without Snape would any of this have been possible? Again he loved Lily. He did everything that he did because of the love he had for her.
- The lack of love between Merope and Tom Riddle Sr. is what made the Dark Lord, dark. He was born out of deception, magic and mistrust. He was born without an ounce of love in his body, mind and soul.
Love is powerful.
Not only in the fantasized wizarding world, but in life too, imagine how many things kindness, loyalty, bravery, love and truth could change.

I don't think anyone understands the amout of sheer gut and soul it takes to put into words, the way one feels.
That is probably the reason why I admire writers so much. Especially those writers who write about thoughts, soul, emotions, books, words, life, dreams and all those things that can't be achieved or interpreted through education and knowledge. The things that take wisdom and an understanding of ethereal existence.
Virginia Woolf once wrote;
"I'm terrified of passive acquiescence. I live in intensity."
And I believe that nothing could ever put into the words better than this, what I feel for life and how I think it should be lived.
What is the point of merely existing, accepting and reducing yourself to mediocrity? I crave intensity. I crave finding meaning in everything, every person I meet everyday, every character I discover, every book I read, every show I watch. I want to love in depth. Understand what others might not. Look and actually look into books and not just see the accumulation of letters.
I study literature, mass communication and social work. Three subjects that ask of me to feel. Feel words and emotions, feel people and empathy and feel downfall and the building of power in the downtrodden. Three subjects that ask of me to be a part of it rather than to just study it.
People are rather stunned when I speak about my love for what I study. Not many understand the life it gives me in the present and not just my future.
I study to not just get a good grade on my papers but to truly understand and grasp the cause behind it. To truly discover the life it would lead to and to make a difference. The smallest of it, but a difference nonetheless. Because what lies in passive acquiescence? Living with passion, living with a purpose any living passionately might just be the grail for this life.
Read books, let that world take over, experience what you can't in the realism of everyday. Life is what you make it, choices are the ones you make. So make it phenomenal, make sure you live. Not exist. Make sure you live intensely and not just passively. Because, life, at the end of everyday, is what you make it.
