Life Isn’t Fair
She couldn't do it. She couldn't shoot him. She couldn't lose another person she loved. But she couldn't risk humanity for one friend. The sound of the gunshot brought more people from the bunker into the small room.
"Bellamy, please stop." Clarke pleaded.
A tall man stepped towards Bellamy, seeing that he was going to open the hatch, "I have a son in here, I can't let you open that."
He, along with a few others, grabbed Bellamy and started pulling him away from the hatch. Away from his sister.
"I'm sorry, Bellamy." Clarke mumbled as her eyes started filling with tears.
Bellamy fought against the grasp of the men pulling him away. He screamed at them to let him go, but to no avail they continued. Clarke followed numbly watching the former leader crumble at the thought of losing his sister. The men put Bellamy in an empty room, the door locked behind him.
"You two stay here and make sure he doesn't get out." Clarke told two men that were standing by. They nodded and stood on either side of the door.
Clarke made her way back to the office, hoping to get ahold of Octavia one more time.
"Octavia, Octavia come in." She grabbed the radio on the table.
"Clarke? Clarke, what's going on?" She radioed in a few minutes later.
Clarke took a deep breath, "Are you by yourself?"
"Yeah, what's this about? Is Bellamy okay?" She asked quickly.
"Bellamy is fine. But you need to go."
"What? Why? Clarke what are you doing?" Octavia got more irritated each time she asked a question.
"Go find Monty and Raven. They will know what to do. Raven is at the lighthouse, just get to her."
"Clarke, where is my brother?"
"He was going to open the hatch, I couldn't risk humanities chance at survival. I'm sorry, Octavia. Bellamy is okay, just get to the lighthouse. Just get to the lighthouse Octavia." With those words she placed the radio back on the table.
"Clarke? Clarke!" Octavia repeated into the radio.
Clarke closed her eyes tightly, like if she kept them closed long enough everything would be okay again. She just condemned hundreds of people to their death, including some of her own people. Jaha walked by the door and saw the broken girl.
Jaha placed a hand on Clarke's shoulder, "You made the right choice. Just think of the bigger picture."
"But how many people had to die for us to get here." She pushed away his hand and sat down on the couch.
She sat there for what felt like hours, waiting on word from Octavia. She hoped that she would be okay, because she knew Bellamy would never forgive her if something happened to his sister. Finally she heard a voice in the radio.
"Clarke, Clarke are you there?" The voice spoke.
"Raven?" She picked the radio back up, "I'm here."
"Clarke, Octavia made it here. So did Harper, Monty and Echo. We have a plan, but we don't have much time." Raven told Clarke.
Clarke let out a sigh of relief, "Thank god." She breathed. "What's the plan?"
"We have to go back to space. The satellites are aligned, there is a rocket that we can take back. We're going back to the Ark."
"You all will be okay, right?"
"I'll take care of them Clarke. We will be fine. You do your part and take care of everyone there."
"Where is Bellamy? I need to talk to him." Octavia's voice cut off Raven.
"I'm sorry Octavia, we don't have time. We have to go now." Raven told the girl.
"Clarke, I need you to tell my brother that I love him and that I'm sorry for everything. Make sure he is okay for me." Clarke could hear the sadness in the Octavia's voice, "Tell him he is the best big brother a girl could ask for. Will you tell him that?"
"I'll tell him Octavia. Now go. Survive. We'll be here when all this is over."
"See you in five years." She sadly laughed, "Take care of him for me."
"I will." Clarke promised.
Those were the final words Clarke heard from the group. She knew they would be okay. They would take care of each other. That's what they always do.
"May we meet again." Clarke spoke softly as she turned the radio off.
As Clarke walked through the hallway, she could hear the yells of Bellamy.
"Let me out of here!" He yelled again.
Clarke opened the door and walked inside, seeing Bellamy handcuffed to the bed frame.
"If anything happens to her-" He began.
"She's fine." Clarke stopped him, "She is with Raven, Monty, Harper and Echo. They are going back to the Ark."
"She's okay?" Bellamy's voice broke.
"She's okay." Clarke leaned down and uncuffed him.
"You was going to kill her." Bellamy realized, "Why would you do that? She is one of us. She is my sister."
"I had to think with my head, not my heart. I knew that Raven would have a plan, she's too stubborn to die. I knew Octavia would be safe with them. I'm sorry Bellamy."
He stood up and rubbed his wrists. The building started shaking and small rocks rained down. Clarke tensed at the sudden movement. They all knew it was Praimfaya. The lights flickered on and off. Clarke felt Bellamy's hand intertwine with hers as the lights went out momentarily. They squeezed each others hands and for a moment, they weren't afraid. The lights flickered on a moment later. The two turned towards each other. Clarke noticed their hands were still intertwined.
"Sorry." She awkwardly started to pull her hand away and walk away.
Bellamy reached out again and grabbed her hand, stopping her. She turned to look at him, seeing that he was staring at her. His eyes flickered to her lips, then without a second thought he started leaning forward. Clarke didn't hesitate as she too leaned forward. Their lips moving in sync with each other. Clarke's hand starting wrapping around Bellamy's neck as Bellamy's snaked around her waist, pulling her closer to him.
"Oh ummm," A voice stopped them, "I'll just, ummm, come back later."
The pulled away quickly to see Miller standing at the door with a sly grin playing on his lips. He backed away then turned down the hallway.
"You owe me a drink Murphy!" He yelled down the hallway, "I won the bet!"
Murphy yelled back down the hallway to him, "Dammit Bellamy!"
Bellamy and Clarke slowly walked down the hallway where Miller had previously been. When they turned the corner, they saw people from the original camp waiting with a grin.
"What is this?" Clarke was the first to speak.
"This is what we call the winners circle." Miller placed his arm on her shoulder and stretched the other arm to the people standing around. "Thanks to your love for each other, we won."
"How long has this been going on for?" Bellamy asked the group.
"Since we landed at the drop ship." Another kid smirked.
"I would suggest all of you walk away now." Bellamy crossed his arms.
They all started high-fiving each other as they dispersed.
Murphy stood leaning against the wall and continued shaking his head at the two, "You just had to go and kiss her, didn't you?"
The first week in the bunker went by fast. The first day was spent relishing in the fact that they were alive. Day two was spent fixing up their rooms. Day three was spent figuring out the details of their survival. Day four, they figured out everyone's jobs. Day five, six, and seven everyone got used to their new lives. After a month, things quietened down. Everyone had a schedule that they followed, it was order.
"Hey, Bellamy was looking for you." Murphy told Clarke as he walked by, continuing down the hallway with Emori at his side. "He's in the office."
Clarke nodded and walked into the office.
"You've been gone a month now." Bellamy talked in the radio, not knowing Clarke was in the room. "I wish you were down here with us, but I'm glad you're okay. Hope everything's okay up there. Tell Raven to fix the damn radio up there." He sighed and turned the radio off.
Clarke cleared her throat, "You were looking for me?"
Bellamy noticed her and walked towards her, "Yeah, I wanted to ask you something."
"Okay."
He ran his hand across the back of his neck, "Now that everyone is calmed down, I-I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go on a date with me?" Clarke grinned, "I would love to, Bellamy."
Bellamy looked at the ground with a smile then returned his gaze to the girl in front of him. He held his arm out for her to take. She smiled, taking ahold of it. They walked down the halls, towards the mess hall. Earning looks as they walked.
"Bellamy. Clarke." Miller grinned wildly as they walked past him.
"Shut it, Miller." Bellamy warned.
He held his hands up in defense with a grin.
They stayed in the mess hall well past serving time. Hours ticked by as they just talked to each other. Growing closer as each minute passed. Falling deeply and madly in love with each other, even more than they already had. They were a piece to a whole. The better half of each other, who pushed the other to become a better person. They were the head and the heart, and one could not live without the other.
By the end of the first year, everyone had watched Murphy and Emori grow closer. They all knew what was coming next. Murphy ran through the hallway with Emori to find Clarke and Bellamy.
"Clarke! Bellamy!" Murphy called to the two when he finally spotted the two.
They stopped and turned towards Murphy.
"We have news." Murphy smiled.
"Oh god, you're pregnant." Clarke looked over to Emori.
"What? No." She rejected.
"We are getting married." Murphy pulled Emori into his side, "Today. We want to get married today."
"I guess we have a wedding to plan then." Clarke smiled.
"John told me that I should choose a girl to stand with me. I was wondering if you would be that person, Clarke." Emori looked towards the blonde.
"I would be honored."
"And I would like you to be that person for me." Murphy looked towards Bellamy, who nodded.
Clarke convinced Jaha to perform the ceremony and an announcement was made to everyone. It would be held in the main part of the bunker, which would hold everyone. Emori had found a dress in one of the rooms of the bunker, nothing special just a plain dress. She complained the whole time, but Clarke finally convinced her. They told Emori the main parts about the wedding that was customary on the Ark, since she was from the ground. Clarke raided the garden of the flowers that grew around the edges, wanting to make the wedding special for the two that she had grown closer to.
The wedding was just about to start when Clarke caught a glimpse of Bellamy talking secretly with Emori. Emori turned to look at Clarke, she turned back to Bellamy and nodded. Everyone took their places as Macallan played the guitar that was found. Murphy caught a glimpse of his soon to be wife walking towards him. He grinned at her, taking her hand. The wedding went by without a hitch. Everyone stayed in the room to do speeches. The newlyweds were the first to start.
"I would just like to thank the psycopath himself, Jaha. Without him taking me on his Moses trip across the desert, i would have never met the beautiful woman standing next to me." Murphy started his speech, "I can't wait to start our lives together." He placed a kiss on Emori's cheek.
Clarke went next, "Honestly, I didn't see Muphy getting married. He was a real ass back at camp. I guess it just takes that one person to change you completely." She looked at the newlyweds but meant it for another too.
After the wedding, all the unmarried people were put in the center. Emori held the flowers in her hand and counted backwards, ready to throw the bouquet. On one she stopped and started walking towards Clarke. Clarke stood there for a moment, surprised. The bouquet was handed to her. Emori returned back to her husband who grinned and wrapped his arms around her. Clarke looked around the room to see everyone staring at her, everyone seemingly knowing what was about to happen except her. The crowd parted and Bellamy walked out. She watched him walk towards her. He smiled and looked at the floor occasionally as he walked. When he got to Clarke, he grabbed her hand.
"We've been through a lot together, you and I. We didn't like each other very much at first, that's no secret. But eventually I saw the better side of you. You are the head of the entire operation, even when I wouldn't admit it. You are the head, I guess that makes me the heart, but it makes us better together. I love you Clarke Griffin." He got down on one knee, "So would you do me the great honor of marrying me?"
Clarke was practically in tears as she started nodding, "Yes."
Bellamy grinned and picked the girl up, spinning her in circles. He placed her down with a kiss on her lips. Everyone around clapped and whistled. Miller being the loudest. Clarke looked over at her mother, to find her smiling. Kane stood next to her, approving of the couple.
"Way to steal my thunder." Murphy gave Bellamy a small guy hug, "Congratulations man."
"Yeah, back at you." Bellamy laughed.
Murphy gave Clarke a hug before returning to Emori. He picked her up bridal style as she laughed. He carried her down the hallway back to their shared room.
The day of the wedding approached a month later. Everything being planned slowly. Clarke moved into Bellamy's large room a week before the wedding.
Clarke walked up to Kane that day, "You got a second?"
"Shouldn't you be getting ready?" He raised an eyebrow.
"I wanted to ask you a quick question. Since my dad is gone, I wanted to know if you would walk me down the aisle? I know you aren't technically my dad, but you're the closest thing Bellamy and I have to a dad."
He seemed shocked by her request but turned into happiness, "I would be happy to."
Clarke smiled back before getting ready for her wedding.
Clarke held Kane's arm as they walked down the aisle together. Clarke thought she would be nervous, but she wasn't. She kept her eyes on the man in front of her. They stared at each other intently. Their eyes never leaving each other. Kane let go of her hand as Abby cried in the front row.
"We are gathered here today to witness the union between Clarke Griffin and Bellamy Blake." Jaha began, "If there is anyone who would like to say anything against this union, speak now or forever hold your peace." When nobody said anything, except the occasional sniffle, he continued. "Do you have vows that you would like to say to one another?"
Bellamy started, "Since the day I met you, I've always been drawn to you. Maybe not in this way at first, but we've always been apart of each other. I never want to spend another day without you in my life and I hope that day never comes. I love you Clarke Griffin."
Jaha looked over to Clarke. Then she began.
"From day one there wasn't a day that has went by that I don't think about you. I'm glad that we changed for the better and grew to love each other. You are the better half of me, Bellamy Blake."
"Now do you Bellamy Blake take Clarke Griffin to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?"
"I do." Bellamy stared into Clarke's ocean blue eyes.
"Do you Clare Griffin take Bellamy Blake to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?"
"I do." Clarke stared back.
Jaha smiled, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
Bellamy leaned over and kissed Clarke, pulling her closer to him.
"Whoooo!" Miller clapped wildly as his date shook his head at his antics, Jackson wasn't amused with him.
Everyone danced to the music that Macallan played for the wedding. It was beautiful. Clarke walked over to him while he was taking a break.
"Thanks for playing." Clarke thanked.
"No problem, just glad I could be of service." He smiled.
"My now sister Octavia would like you." Clarke told him, before walking away. Leaving him to play again.
Clarke leaned against one of the walls, watching everyone dance. Abby had pulled Bellamy onto the dance floor to have a 'talk'. Clarke heard a small chirp come behind her and looked at the ground to see a small cricket jump out of the vents. Possibly giving them some sign of hope for them getting out of there one day. Emori walked over to her and stepped on it by accident. Clarke rolled her eyes.
"How's the married life treating you?" She leaned against the wall by Clarke.
"Considering I have been married for a few hours, I'd say its good so far." Clarke told her. "What about you?"
"I'm pregnant." Emori stared at the ground before walking away.
Clarke stood there awestruck. The cockroach was gonna be a dad.
Clarke and Bellamy had been married for about six months, when Clarke felt something was wrong. All day she was on edge. She felt sick to her stomach at the thought. She went into the medical area on her own time and ran tests. Finally it was the one test she dreaded. And of course, it came back positive. She stared at it for a few minutes, not wanting to believe it.
Emori and Murphy walked into the medical area as she was leaving. Murphy had probably pushed her to go back for the fourth time this week, him becoming a tad overprotective of her. He never left her side now, always giving her all his attention.
"Hey, could you come by later and paint the baby room?" Emori stopped Clarke.
"Uh, yeah, I'd be happy to." Clarke gave a small smile as she left.
Clarke sat in the office thinking about how everything would change now. Her thoughts ran like wildfire, taking over everything. Then she remembered she was supposed to be painting Emori's baby room. She grabbed the paint from her shelf, that was found in the supply closet. She knocked on the door and was let in almost immediately. Emori led her to the connecting room and pointed to the wall she wanted painting, Clarke not paying attention to a word she said. She blankly started painting a dog on the wall with the forest behind him.
"Are you okay?" Emori asked behind her, putting her hand over her belly.
"I'm sorry what?" She snapped out of it but stayed focused on her painting.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine."
"Really? Because everytime you say you're fine, you're normally lying."
Clarke sighed, knowing her friend had caught her, "I'm pregnant."
"What?" Emori walked towards her, "Have you told Bellamy?"
"Not yet." Clarke finished up the final details of the painting.
"Well go then, go tell him." Emori started pushing her out the door, "I'll bring your paints to you later. Now get out of here."
Clarke slowly walked to the office she knew Bellamy would be in, probably finishing up a one way conversation with his sister. Just like she predicted, Bellamy laid across the couch staring up at the ceiling. Clarke took a seat in the chair, thinking about how to say it. They sat there in quiet for a few minutes, before Bellamy finally looked at her.
"What do you think they're doing up there right now?" Bellamy asked referring to the group in space.
Clarke laughed at the thought she had, "Well I think right now, Octavia is trying to choke Echo out."
Bellamy laughed at the thought of his sister.
"Bellamy." Clarke caught his attention.
Bellamy noticed how her mood changed so quickly, he moved next to her afraid something was wrong.
"What is it?" He asked worriedly.
"Bellamy...I-I'm pregnant." She finally got out.
Bellamy looked between her and her stomach, "I-I'm gonna be a dad?"
"Yeah."
Bellamy started grinning, "That's amazing!" He picked Clarke up and spun her around. Suddenly Clarke wasn't so scared at bringing another life into the bunker.
Three months later the first life was brought into the bunker. Emori and Murphy had a son. Roland Otan Murphy. Murphy kissed Emori's head as she held the healthy baby boy. Word traveled fast around the bunker. People congratulated the new parents everywhere they went. Everyone wanted a glimpse of the new life. Clarke and Bellamy were the only two trusted to hold the new baby. Their friend group grew closer as each day passed.
Six months later the second life was brought into the bunker. Ava Robin Blake. Bellamy never leaving Clarkes side. He sat on the bed with her as she slept. Her curled up into his side, her head laying on his shoulder. One arm wrapped around Clarke, the other holding his baby girl. He look down at the two girls he would always protect with his life. His everything. He placed a kiss on each of their heads, promising to always be there for them. His own little family.
By the end of the third year the babies weren't so babies anymore. Abby spoiled her grandchild nonstop. Clarke and Bellamy had to keep an eye on Abby or she would steal their daughter away. Even as babies Ava and Roland were quick friends, sharing the little things they had. Four more people they knew got engaged. Abby and Kane and Jackson and Miller. Their weddings set for a few months away.
Clarke walked into the room that they called their own. Emori and Murphy sat on the floor with Roland, Bellamy sat across from them with Ava in his arms. Bellamy made a face at the child, making her burst into a fit of laughter. The laughter filled the room, making Clarke smile wildly. Clarke leaned against the door frame, watching her small family. Her smile faulted as she tasted a metallic taste in her mouth. Clarke's eyes rolled in the back of her head as she fell to the ground. Bellamy was quick to move, handing the baby to Murphy and catching his wife before she hit the ground.
"Put her on her side." Murphy instructed, remembering his time at camp when everyone had gotten sick and when Finn seized after getting poisoned.
Bellamy put Clarke on her side as she shook rapidly. He was scared at what was happening. She was perfectly fine a few moments ago.
"Abby!" He yelled down the hall, "Abby!"
His yells echoed through the hallway. Everyone could hear. Abby's small figure popped in the doorway a few seconds later.
"Oh my god." She leaned down next to her daughter. "Clarke."
When Clarke stopped seizing Bellamy picked up her limp body and ran behind Abby to medical. He left Ava behind with Murphy and Emori, knowing that his daughter would be okay there.
"Put her on the table." Abby instructed.
Clarkes frail body was placed on the table.
"What's wrong with her?" Bellamy pushed Clarkes hair behind her ear.
"I don't know yet." Abby grabbed different instruments to test Clarke. "This might take a while." Abby warned.
Bellamy grabbed a chair, pulled it up to the bed and grabbed Clarkes hand, "I'm not going anywhere."
Abby sent him out of the room after some tests were ran. She said to him that there were tests that he had to leave for. He finally left to find his daughter. Bellamy eventually found his daughter with Murphy and Emori. Ava and Roland having been put in the same crib.
"How is she?" Emori asked as soon as Bellamy walked into the room.
Bellamy stood at the door separating where his friends stood and where the two babies slept, "Abby doesn't know what's wrong yet."
"I'm sorry Bellamy." Murphy said sincerely, "If you need us to watch Ava, we will be there."
"Thanks." Bellamy watched his sleeping daughter.
Bellamy couldn't sleep that night, too worried about Clarke. He waited outside the medical area with his head in his hands until Abby finally walked out.
He stood up immediately, "How is she?"
Abby looked as if she was about to cry, "Bellamy, you may want to sit down." He sat down in the chair and Abby took a seat next to him.
"We ran every test on Clarke and then ran them again." She informed Bellamy. "Has she been complaining about anything lately? Headaches? Soreness? Being tired? Anything at all?"
"You know how she is, she always bottles everything up and wouldn't admit if she was in pain." Bellamy watched her reaction.
"Bellamy," she placed her hand on his shoulder, "the tests show that Clarke has a brain tumor. It couldn't have been predicted, she never would have admitted to it."
Bellamy had tears in his eyes, "I should have known. I'm her husband, I should have known."
"There was no way anybody could have known." She comforted.
"How long?" Bellamy turned to face her.
Abby started crying, "Eight months maybe a year at the most."
Bellamy took in the information, "What can we do? We have to do something." Abby shook her head, "We don't have the materials to do anything. The tumor is inoperable. If we done surgery, it would kill her anyway."
Bellamy cried at her words, realizing they could do anything to help her. The girl who just wanted to help her people and now they couldn't help her. Bellamy pushed up from his seat and went into the room Clarke laid in. Clarke slowly opened her eyes at the sound of someone entering the room.
"Hey." She said weakly with a smile, "What happened?"
"You had a seizure." Bellamy said honestly.
Clarke saw his red eyes and the tears running down his face.
"How bad is it?" She asked.
"Eight months to a year." Bellamy sat on the bed and laid next to her, pulling her into his arms. Clarke curled up to his warm body.
"That soon, huh?" Bellamy could hear how scared she was in her voice. Bellamy laid there, holding her body close to him. Memorizing her features, taking in her scent, the way she smelled like the woods all the time even though they were underground. He stared into her ocean blue eyes, seeming to get lost in them. He played with her flowing blonde hair like it was the last time he would do so.
Clarke was placed in the bed for a week after her seizure. Bellamy visiting her all hours of the day. He was bringing her food to her when he noticed that everyone was on edge and didn't know what to do. Everyone was falling apart without Clarke. When he got to Clarkes room he pulled up her tray and gave her the food.
"It's chaos out there, people are going crazy without you in charge." Bellamy took a seat by her side.
"What's wrong with a little chaos?" Clarke grinned, "I'm just kidding. Chaos, bad."
He smiled at the love of his life. Clarke ate at the vegetable soup that was in front of her, not really wanting to eat a lot.
Clarke was given a wheelchair, so she wouldn't have to use her energy with walking. Bellamy pushed her through the halls as Clarke held Ava in her arms. It had been a few months and Bellamy had been cherishing every moment of it, knowing one day it would be his last. Abby had wanted to reschedule her wedding but Clarke forced her to continue saying that she wanted people to continue with their lives. Clarke sat in the front row, watching her mother get married, tears in her eyes. She watched her mother smile at the man she loves, Kane. She memorized this moment in her mind, not wanting to forget how happy her mother was in that moment. Wishing she could be this happy forever, but knew she wouldn't because her daughter would be dead in a few months time. After the wedding came the dancing. Clarke stood up from her wheelchair against the others protest.
She reached her hand out to Kane, "I believe this is the father-daughter dance." Kane smiled and grabbed her hand. The music slowed as they swayed to the beat.
"You should be resting." Kane whispered.
"I wouldn't miss this for the world. I ain't letting the tumor control my life." She whispered back.
Clarke looked past Kane and smiled at her mother.
"You'll take care of her for me, won't ya?" Clarke's voice cracked slightly.
"Of course I will." Kane hugged Clarke.
"Make sure she doesn't stay caught up on me for too long. I want her to be happy." Clarke teared up.
"Mind if I cut in?" Abby pushed her husband aside to dance with her daughter.
Kane nodded and joined the others.
The mother and daughter pair started dancing together.
"You know I remember the day when your father brought home music from the trading posts. You were so excited. You were so little then." Abby teared up, "You wrapped your little arms around my legs and stood on my feet. Your father laughed at us and picked you up in his arms, swirling you through the air, making you laugh like it was the greatest thing in the world."
"You'll be okay mom." Clarkes tears started falling, "Even after I am gone. You will have Kane and Bellamy and Ava. You will still have everyone and you will help each other. We will meet again one day, I know it."
Abby hugged her daughter and cried. The crowd around her watched the moment, already knowing what was happening. They were saying their goodbyes, so they wouldn't have to later. Bellamy stood with Ava in his arms, waiting for Clarke. The song ended, Abby went to Kane and Clarke headed for Bellamy. Miller stepped in front of her before she made it back.
He hugged her tightly, "Thank you."
"For what?" She asked him.
"For saving my ass more times than I can count. Thank you for everything Clarke."
She nodded, "May we meet again."
"May we meet again." He joined Jacksons side and intertwined their fingers. Before she could get back to Bellamy everyone in the room had made a line in front of her. All of them giving her some kind of goodbye or thanking her. Bellamy stood back in awe at the amount of lives that Clarke had impacted. Tears fell down Clarkes face as they all walked back to their rooms. She finally got back to Bellamy with puffy eyes.
She grabbed her daughter from his hands, "Hey baby girl." She held her close, "Mommy loves you my sweet girl." She placed a kiss on her head.
Bellamy pushed Clarke through the halls and back to their room. Clarke passed Ava back to him when he opened the door.
"I still have to talk to Emori and Murphy." Clarke told him.
"Will you be okay?" He asked.
"They are quite literally across from us." Clarke pointed to the opposite door. "I will be fine."
Clarke stood up from her chair and walked across the hall to her friends room. They opened up the door a second after she knocked and was brought inside.
"Quite a show you put on out there." Murphy commented.
"He's just sarcastic when he's upset and basically any other time, but this is because he's upset." Emori commented on his behavior.
"That's why we're friends." Clarke smiled. "I actually came to say goodbye, my time is getting closer."
Emori moved uncomfortably at the thought of losing her friend.
"John, I need you to promise me something. Promise me that if Bellamy loses his shit you will snap him out of it, through whatever means possible. Give him time to grieve and if he's not better by then-"
"An excuse to finally beat Bellamy's ass. Deal." Murphy replied.
Clarke slightly laughed, "Just take care of him, he's going to need someone until Octavia gets back down here. Make sure he doesn't give up hope. And Emori, make sure he doesn't kill my daughter. He is a good father, he is just going to be lost for a little while. Make sure Ava grows up with Roland, she will need a friend."
The two got up and hugged Clarke.
"We will be here for them. They are family." Murphy promised.
Clarke nodded, "See you on the other side."
Clarke walked back to her room with silent tears falling. Bellamy sat on the couch waiting for her. She took a seat next to him.
"You shouldn't be saying goodbyes, not yet. We still have time." Bellamy turned towards her.
"Bellamy," She placed her hand on his face, "We are out of time. I can feel it. I can feel my life draining away."
Bellamy let a tear fall, "I cant lose you. We can't lose you."
Clarke wiped away the tear, "If life worked out I would stay with you. I would grow old with you, Bellamy Blake. I would watched my daughter grow and raise her to be a good woman. I would get to see her talk for the first time and take her first steps. I would be there when you taught her to shoot a gun for the first time. I would be there for everything, but life isn't fair. People die sometimes and it sucks, but the world keeps moving."
"But not my world, my world would be gone. You are my world, Clarke. You're my world."
It was Clarkes turn to cry now, "I cant be your world, you have Ava. She is going to need you. Octavia is going to need you when she comes down. Our people need you."
"No, they need you. You keep them centered, you keep them sane. They follow you. You can't just leave us-"
"Bellamy-" Clarke tried to stop him.
"It will be chaos when you're gone. You have to stay and watch Ava grow up. We are supposed to grow old together."
"Bellamy." Clarke turned his face to look at her. "It's going to be okay, Bellamy. You will get through this, because you are Bellamy Blake. You've gotten this far, you can't just give up now. You will be happy again one day. Just don't let me stop you from that. Find love again, be happy."
"But I've got you for that. You make me happy."
"I love you Bellamy Blake, just don't forget that."
"I love you Clarke Griffin, forever and always."
Two weeks later Clarke Griffin was admitted into the medical wing. Murphy, Emori, Bellamy, Ava, Kane and Abby were the only ones allowed inside. It didn't stop the others, just outside the doors everyone in the bunker was gathered. Clarkes breathing slowed and her skin paled.
"You will tell Ava about be when she's older, right? Tell her how much I loved her." Clarke stared down at the little girl.
"Of course." Abby started crying. She stood at her daughters side, pushing back her hair from her face.
Clarke motioned for Bellamy to lay by her side. He didn't hesitate. Abby took the baby from her arms and stood back, watching her daughter die.
"Thank you guys for being here. "Clarke told Murphy and Emori.
Murphy put his hand on her side, feeling her cold skin even between the covers, "Of course we would be here, you're family."
Clarke smiled and turned back to Bellamy. She nuzzled into his body for warmth, even though it was no help. He could feel her heart starting to slow under his touch. He placed a kiss on her forehead. She was dying and he couldn't help her. He could just hold her and hope it would help her. She shivered under his touch. He knew she was about to leave them and it killed him.
"In peace may you leave the shore." He began, causing Emori to cry into Murphy's chest, who held her just as tightly. Abby held Ava to her chest.. "In love may you find the next." Bellamy started crying as he heard the beeps of the monitor slow. "Safe passage on your travels until our final journey on the ground." Her eyes closed for the final time. "May we meet again." He sobbed.
Abby cried over her daughters body. Bellamy walked out of the room numbly, with his daughter in his arms and tears streaming down his face. The crowd outside having created a path for him to leave. The mood was somber, having lost one of their own. Having lost Clarke Griffin.

If the 100 was a dream pt 2
Clarke walked down the halls. The dream felt so real. Like it had actually happened. Had it really happened?
She walked into the cafeteria, not paying attention to where she was going. She bumped into someone. She looked up to meet the person's eyes. Bellamy. She avoided him most days, but staring into his eyes she thought differently. His hair was slicked back, like the first day on Earth. At least that's what she thought, it was becoming hazy.
"Sorry about that." Clarke told him, "I should probably watch where I'm going next time."
"You're forgiven." He smiled, "Wanna go for a walk, princess?"
Clarke nodded and followed the eldest Blake through the halls of the Ark.
"I had a weird dream last night." Bellamy told her.
"Oh yeah? What about?" Clarke became intrigued.
"It was about you." This caught Clarke's attention, "We were all on earth. It was really weird. There were people already there and we had to survive. I don't know how to explain it." He ran his hand through his hair.
Clarke's eyes went wide, she opened her mouth to speak but guards cut her off.
"Bellamy Blake, you are under arrest for harboring a fugitive and stealing." Guards came out of nowhere.
Bellamy backed against the wall and held his fist up, ready to fight.
"You can't fight us all." A guard told him.
"No, but I can take a few of you with me." He said defiently.
But it didn't last long. The guards outnumbered him. They handcuffed him and took him away. Clarke yelled for them to stop, but they didn't.
"What are you doing with him?!" She yelled.
"His execution is set in an hour." They told her.
Clarke's heart dropped. She couldn't let them kill him. They couldn't take bellamy away. She ran down the halls to where she knew jaha would be at. In his office he sat in an old chair.
"Chancellor sir, I would like to speak with you." She told him.
"Give me a few minutes, Clarke." He looked back down at his papers.
"Sir, it's urgent." She closed the door shut making him look at her. "A man was just arrested. I need you to pardon him."
"Why would I do that?" Jaha was intrigued now.
"I can't explain it. He is innocent. Just please release him." She pleaded.
"I don't make the rules, Clarke." He leaned back in his chair, "You know the consequences."
"You just enforcd them right? Sometimes the rules deserve to be broken."
"I'm sorry Clarke. There's nothing I can do. If you want to tell him anything you need to leave now. He should be getting floated soon."
There was nothing Clarke could do. She knew she couldn't save him now. Not without getting everyone killed. They would all lose air if she tried anything. She ran as fast as she could down the halls and to the air lock chambers. Inside the room, was a guard and Bellamy being pushed inside the door. She ran to the glass and stuck her hand onto it.
"I'm sorry. I tried. I couldn't do anything." She cried.
"Look at me." Bellamy told her through the glass, "This isn't your fault."
"I couldn't..." She began but was cut off.
"I remember, Clarke."
"What?" She looked up at him.
"I remember everything now. After I saw you that day I remembered everything. I told you we'd meet again."
"Bellamy..."
"Back away from the door." A guard pulled her back.
"Bellamy! No!" She screamed.
"I love you, princess." Bellamy mouthed to her.
"No, Bellamy." She crumbled to the ground.
It was too late. He was gone. And he wasn't coming back.
"May we meet again."

One too many pt.2
“I don’t understand. She wouldn’t want you to die – she would’ve wanted you to live. That’s why she did what she did.”
“No!” Bellamy exploded, clamouring up from the wall. “You don’t understand. I was supposed to be there. Me! I was supposed to align the radio tower with her!” Bellamy took a few deep breaths. “We should have died down there together. I should have gone with her!” Monty couldn’t help the curiosity from bubbling up inside of him.
“Why didn’t you? Go with her, I mean?” Bellamy’s stare turned murderous and Monty instantly regretted asking the question.
“I ask myself that question every waking moment,” he growled. “She shouldn’t have died alone. We should have been together, but we weren’t. I left her to die all alone to save you!”
Monty fell silent. Those words stung. It felt as if Bellamy was blaming him for what had happened.
Was he to blame?
Monty pushed those thoughts out of his head. Bellamy was just hurting – he didn’t mean what he said.
Bellamy glared down at him. Monty could only shake his head in an attempt to stop the tears.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled.
"Tell that to Clarke," Bellamy spat. He charged out of the room, leaving Monty with his thoughts.
Monty felt worse than he did earlier – he didn’t think that was possible. He couldn’t save anyone – not Jasper, not Clarke, not Bellamy.
He let out a small sob and let his head fall into his hands.
Bellamy heard Monty’s cries as he left the hallway, but he couldn’t find it in himself to care. He was in too much pain right now. His head was in too much turmoil to – his heart was hurting too much. He knew Monty didn’t deserve the pain that he gave him – but he didn’t turn around to try to take it back.
Bellamy took off running once again, trying to escape the sounds of Monty’s hurt – trying to escape the pain.
It didn’t work.
As Monty’s sobs faded, it was replaced with more guilt, more regret and more hurt.
Bellamy’s legs led him to a bay window overlooking Earth.
Another wave of nausea hit him and he tumbled to his knees. Waves of pain radiated up his bones, but he didn’t have it in himself to care.
He felt like his life was falling apart.
Ever since that of the Unity Day masquerade ball a few years ago, his life had been turned upside down. He lost his job, his mother, and his sister. He risked everything – even his soul and his humanity – to follow Octavia down to Earth. He became a monster – he became someone he wasn’t, just to survive. He fell in love. He lost his love.
Bellamy closed his eyes and rested his forehead against the glass.
This was where Octavia first saw their home planet. That’s why his legs carried him here.
In the year that they had been on earth everything turned into chaos. Maybe too much chaos was a bad thing.
His eyes wandered the forbidden planet. The air is toxic now, they are all dead. The planet that once meant life for his people, now meant death for most. Everyone was either gone, dying or alone.
Clarke was all three.
She was gone. She was dead. And she died all alone.
The planet was up in flames, taking everything with it.
Cleansing the world.
Bellamy hand hit something on the window. A glass of alcohol. He picked it up and looked back to the fiery world. He gave a soft scoff.
"Looks like I finally got that drink." He held up to bottle the world and took a long swig. “Too bad it wasn’t with you.”
Bellamy stayed silent for a few minutes, completely focused on the people he loved but lost.
Aurora.
The delinquents.
Jasper.
Lincoln.
Octavia.
Clarke.
He felt his lips moving without a second thought.
“In peace may you leave the shore, in love may you find the next. Safe passage on your final journey to the ground. May we meet again.”

One too many pt.1
Bellamy sat slightly away from the group. Each held a drink in their hand. Bellamy took another sip, in a desperate attempt to drown out his sorrows. But he couldn’t have easily forgotten what he had done.
He left her. He left them all.
He couldn’t help but imagine their wails and pain as the wave of death hit. How horrible their dying moments must have been.
How horrible her dying moments must have been.
Did she made it back to Becca’s lab, hoping to see their faces - hoping to jump back onto the rocket? Was she feeling betrayal as the wave washed over her, ending her too short of a life?
Or did she die, all alone, by the radio tower?
Bellamy felt sick even thinking about it.
He tried to push his thoughts away.
Each of them told stories of the people they had lost.
Monty talked about all the things he and Jasper had done together. Reminiscing about the old times. And mourning the times they would never have together. With a last goodbye Monty held his cup up as a toast to his fallen friend.
“May we meet again.” Tears filled everyone’s eyes, even Echo, who never really knew him.
Now they had to talk for Clarke. The girl that saved everyone, except herself. Bellamy took another drink before starting.
“Clarke-” he began and looked up from the ground. But his voice caught in his throat. His eyes locked on an object away from the group. “Clarke,” he whispered in awe as he stared at the door where the blonde stood.
She was there.
His breathing hitched and his mouth dropped open as his eyes connected with her piercing blue ones - ones that he had imagined a thousand times to be lifeless and unseeing.
Yet, here she was.
A smile was upon her lips and her eyes sparkled with mirth and life. It looked like she just told a stupid pun - something she had done too many times before.
“Bellamy?” Raven questioned, looking concerned. He didn’t turn away from Clarke. She smiled gently and waved her hand in front of her, beckoning him closer.
Bellamy was in shock – his limbs were frozen in place. Seeing the girl he lost alive again brought his world tumbling around him.
When Bellamy didn’t move, Clarke’s smile faltered. She spun around and sprinted away from the room.
The cup shattered against the ground as he took off running. The prince running after his princess. The heart running after the head. The two leaders that kept one another centered.
Maybe it was the drinks, maybe it was just his mind, maybe he had the flickering light of hope inside of him. He knew it was impossible that it wasn’t actually her, but he didn’t care. He didn’t care that it wasn’t real, he just wanted to see her again.
He needed to see her again.
He needed to say goodbye. He needed to ask if she was alright, wherever she ended up. He needed to know that he was forgiven for the pain he had caused her.
The hole that had begun to eat away his soul was instantly filled, just seeing her alive once more.
Monty turned to the rest of the group, worry colouring his features, as Bellamy bolted out of the room.
“I’ll clean this - you go after him,” Harper said, instantly springing into action. She pressed a quick kiss to his lips. “He needs someone that understands what he’s going through.” It was unspoken, but the implication hung in the air – you both lost the person you loved the most.
“Yeah. Alright.” Monty got up from his seat. “I’ll be back. Just… uh. Just be careful.” Harper smiled softly.
“Go.” So he did.
Bellamy turned down seemingly endless hallways. Only barely catching glimpses of the blonde hair turning corners. His footsteps echoed through the halls. He never slowed down, he never stumbled. He just wanted to see her again. She turned into the command station and he continued following.
“Clarke!” His voice was raspy from all of the nights spent crying. His throat hurt after screaming at the walls, begging for the past few days to have been a dream. “Clarke!” Bellamy called again. She didn’t respond and didn’t slow down.
He reached the end of the hallway, approaching the command station that he had seen her turn into moments before. She must not have wanted to see the others - that’s why she led him to a secluded part of the Ark. She only wanted to speak to him - that’s why she led him to an isolated room.
Bellamy turned to corner, a greeting on his lips.
But nothing.
She wasn’t there.
He frantically stumbled into the room, horror filling him. His heart dropped to his stomach and his hands started to shake.
She was gone, again.
His foot caught wires that he hadn’t seen. His body went flying through the air, but he managed to catch himself before he hit the floor.
Something flickered in the room. Power flooded the four walls.
His face lifted to see it. To his absolute delight and horror, he came face to face with the single screen that had turned on.
It was dark and flashing red, showing the death of the person.
Clarke Griffin.
He recognized the setting of the picture. It was her mug shot. Octavia had one like it - it was the only picture of her to exist. He realized that he was looking at the last picture to ever be taken of his princess.
Clarke looked radiant - strong, powerful, and fearless. Her eyes were narrowed the slightest bit and her lips tugged down at the corners, showing her unhappiness with the situation. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a braid.
He remembered the first time he saw the girl he was destined to fall in love with. He had reunited with Octavia and was about to pull the lever, welcoming the first humans back to Earth in one hundred years. Just as his hand went to pull, she came running in. She looked almost identical to her mug shot plastered on the wall – her hair was pulled back in a braid and she was furious.
“Stop! The air could be toxic!” She was always one to expect the worst, but hope for the best.
“If the air is toxic, we’re all dead anyways.” He remembered thinking about how annoying she was. All he wanted to do was kill her. How those times had changed.
His attention was focused back on the flashing screen. Along the right hand side of the screen were statistics. They were clearly monitoring her health as there were boxes monitoring her pulse, oxygen levels, and temperature.
This must have been what was used to monitor on Earth. This was what they used to track the hundred when the council sent them down to die. The wristbands picked up vital signs and transmitted it to the Ark.
Oddly, Bellamy felt better thinking about those days all those months ago. He used to think they were the most challenging of his life, but he was wrong. Oh, so wrong.
Those days where it was just the hundred on the Earth, making camp, defending against Grounders. No scientists stealing their bone marrow, no politics, no death wave, no parents, and minimal death.
The screen was continuously flashing red. He knew what that meant.
Dead.
Bellamy forced himself to focus on her face.
She looked so much younger than he remembered her ever being. The year she spent in isolation and the months she spent on the ground had forced her to grow up too quickly.
He stumbled back. The realness of it all finally hitting him like a bag of bricks. They had always come back. They had always lived. They always saved each other… but he couldn’t. Not this time. She was gone. Praimfaya was the end of Clarke Griffin and there was no coming back from it.
The red on the screen in front of him was the truth now. Many months ago, it had been a message to her mother. Now? Now, it was a message to him.
Dead.
Gone.
Never coming back.
Bellamy swayed on his feet. He was overcome with a flood of emotions.
He felt sick.
His heart hammered in his chest and his knees went weak.
She was dead.
He never told her that he loved her.
He never went after her.
She was left alone to die.
Oh, gods. She was dead.
Bellamy slipped down to the floor with his back pressed against the cool metal of the wall, his head spinning with regret, guilt, pain and grief.
She was gone.
Sorrow overcame him.
He let out a few broken sobs before swinging his fist into the side of the control panel he fell onto. Pain flared up his arm, but it was nothing compared to the pain he felt inside of himself.
He let out a strangled yell.
He felt lost. Trapped. Useless. He couldn’t do anything to save her. He couldn’t do anything to make this situation better.
She was dead and all he could do was cry.
Monty stumbled into the room. It wasn’t hard to find the leader of their group – his sobs echoed around the empty hallways, filling the Ark with pain.
He clutched the side of the door as he looked around for Bellamy. His eyes caught the crumbled figure in the corner and scanned over the screen. His jaw clenched as he realized what was happening.
The same thing had happened to Jasper. Bellamy was losing himself to the pain, and Monty couldn’t lose another person. He refused to lose another brother.
His fingers punched buttons on the keyboard and the screen went dark. He looked over to his friend. To the broken leader. To the man that lost one of the closest people to him and he couldn’t help but think of Jasper.
Harper was right. They needed each other. They both lost some of the most important people in their lives – he lost Jasper and Bellamy lost Clarke and Octavia.
Monty shifted on his feet, unsure of what to do. What could he say to make him feel better?
Nothing.
Monty closed his eyes, trying to keep the pain back.
There was nothing to say that could take this pain away from him, just like there was nothing anyone could say to him to take the pain away of losing Jasper.
He felt lost. He felt useless. What could he do? He tried his best with Jasper, but it wasn’t enough. The pain was too strong from consistently losing the people he loved, over and over. What if that would happen with Bellamy? What if he wasn’t enough for him either?
(cont…)
Screw it, Monty thought. He was going to try everything he could to make this better.
“It hurts.” Monty was surprised by the pain in his own voice. “It really hurts.” Monty slid down the wall next to Bellamy. There was a pause as Monty gathered his thoughts. “Look Bellamy, we can’t lose you too. We need you. We all need you.”
Bellamy looked over to him with tear glistened eyes. Those were the same words Clarke had used. The words that brought him back to the camp.
But they were nothing more than words now.
He didn’t feel hope.
He didn’t feel needed.
He felt completely and utterly hopeless.
Clarke had once asked him if he still had hope and he responded with ‘we’re still breathing, aren’t we?’ Now she wasn’t breathing and he had lost hope. Two pieces to a whole and half was gone. Nothing could replace that half. Bellamy pulled away from Monty’s touch.
“She needed me too!” Desperation rang out in his voice and tears flowed down his face. He was so angry and in so much pain. “Cl-” His voice faltered as he said her name. “Clarke needed me, too, Monty.”
“Wha-”
“She died alone!” Bellamy snapped. “She died all alone on Earth. I should’ve been there.”

If the 100 was just a dream.
The machines beeped all around her. People walked in and out. Her mother tended to the other patients, but always watched her daughter with s close eye.
Clarke started to stir. The boy to her left noticed and stood quickly. He grabbed ahold of her hand. Clarke jumped forward, "Bellamy..." She breathed out. The boys face scrunched up in confusion. Clarke turned to see who had grabbed her hand, "Wells?"
The boy smiled, "It's nice to see ya moving again."
Clarke jumped off the side, against Wells warnings, and wrapped him in her arms. He squeezed back just as tight.
"Careful now. You need to rest." Wells pulled away.
"What happened?" Clarke sat down on the edge of the bed after the initial shock wore off.
"You got sick. You've been in a coma ever since. A few weeks now. You're lucky your mom is so high up and I'm friends with you or you would have been on your own a few weeks ago." He joked.
"Where is everyone else?" Clarke looked around for her people.
"What are you talking about, Clarke? It's always been the two of us."
Clarke started to get worried. The images were starting to blur already and she was starting to forget. She stood up and ran out the door. Turning every corner possible, she searched for her missing people. The metal rang out from below her feet, echoing off the walls. She turned another corner and saw the familiar blue shirt she had grown to love. The last person she saw before she died on Earth. He had told her they would meet again in another life. She took off running down the hall. She saw Bellamy stop in front of the viewing window. Earth rested in front of them. Bellamy stared at his world, while Clarke watched hers. Before she knew what she was doing, she took off running at the boy. The one who had saved her life so many times before.
"God I missed you." Clarke wrapped her arms around him. He didn't hug back, only stayed confused as to why a random girl was hugging him.
"Umm, do I know you?" He raised an eyebrow.
"I'm Clarke. Clarke Griffen. We were...ummm never mind. You wouldn't believe me." Clarke slowly backed away.
"What are you doing?" He watched her start backing away.
"I'm just gonna. I'm gonna go. I'm really sorry." Clarke was on the verge of tears.
"Whatever the hell ya want, princess." Bellamy mumbled.
Clarke looked at him for a second. Remembering the nickname she had grown to love. Love, how could she love someone if they had no idea who she was?
She took off down the hall. Tears flooding her vision. She fell to the ground when she ran into someone, well two someone's.
"Jasper? Monty?" Clarke looking at the two.
Jasper reached his hand down to help her up, "How do you know our names?"
Clarke dusted herself off, "It's nothing. Sorry I ran into you."
"Well okay then," Jasper opened the door to one of the classrooms, "See ya on the other side." He smiled.
Monty followed suit. "I forgot to replace the homework we took." Monty whispered to Jasper.
"You have to somehow get that homework back into Harper's bag. She will flip if she sees that we took it." Jasper whispered back.
Clarke calmed down at the sight of the two together. They seemed happy again. Not worried. Carefree. Another person joined the classroom. John Murphy.
"Give me my seat or I will end you." Murphy stood in front of Montys desk. Monty quivered under his glare, "In a noncriminal way that is." Murphy added.
Clarke continued walking back down the hallway. Catching familiar faces in the crowd. Ones she had seen almost daily. The people she had grown to care for. But none of them would know who she was. They wouldn't know she saved all of their lives. That she would give anything for them. She caught the eyes of a person in their door, but they quickly slammed it shut when she got closer. Octavia.
When she got back to medical, Abby gave her daughter a hug. Not ever wanting to let go again. Wells stood by the door waiting for his friend to be discharged.
The dream faded away, until it was just a memory.

Reunion
The spacekru had been taken by the eligious people weeks ago. They were kept under lockdown. The eligious people would question them daily about life on Earth. About any information that would be useful. The spacekru grew to hate them. Bellamy just wanted to get back to earth. His sister would be on the ground. It had been safe for a year now.
The group stayed against the wall. Monty and Murphy held tight to the girls at their sides. Raven would glare at the people. Echo would stand by them, watching the men return. They would come once a day to take them somewhere on the ship.
"You know the drill." One of the men would say.
Bellamy would step forward. Protecting his friends. Protecting his family. Protecting the people he could save this time.
As Bellamy walked down the hallways he would memorize the paths. He would get stares from the people on the ship. Then they would question him and it would be over again.
One day they would all be sitting in their cells. They rarely talked, unless it was them bickering about how to get out. But they all knew they couldn't escape. Where would they go? They were in the middle of space. An alarm sounded and the emergency lights flashed. People ran around the ship and a countdown begun. The spacekru frantically looked around.
"Get to your assigned areas. We are going home." A voice came through the intercom.
The group stared at each other.
"Home? We're going back to earth?" Raven whispered.
Bellamy snapped out of his daze, "As soon as we drop we make a run for it. These people arnent just going to let us go. We run."
The group nodded. They held onto each other tightly. Waiting for it to begin. Then they fell. Fell back to earth. To the place that took everything, but gave it back too. They were going home.
They fell through the atmosphere. The impact never came. It slowed down. Then it softly touched ground.
The group stood up and walked to the door.
"Hey! Hey!" Murphy tried to catch the attention of someone.
One finally stopped in front of the door, "What do you want now?"
Echo rushed forward, grabbed the guy by the collar and slammed his head into the bars. Knocking him out immediately. The group stared at her for a second before grabbed the keys.
The door unlocked and Bellamy ushered them out. He lead them down the hallways, careful to avoid the people. The doors were right in front of them.
"What if it's still messed up out there?" Harper whispered.
"If the airs toxic then we're all dead anyway." Bellamy reached forward and grabbed the handle.
An alarm went off as the door began to open. People appeared at all sides. The group pushed through the doors and ran. They were finally back on earth and they were already running for their lives. Just like old times. They ran towards the trees, the eligious people following behind.
"Ah!" Raven grunted as she tripped over a rock.
Bellamy turned around the see her scrambling to get up as the people got closer to her. Bellamy turned around and went back for the girl. He pulled her to her feet and pushed her forward. He knew she wouldn't be quick enough. He knew both of them couldn't make it in time.
He looked at the group in front of him. Raven ran to the rest of the group waiting at the edge of the forest.
"You're outnumbered. You can't fight us all." One of them said.
"No, but I can take a few of you with me." Bellamy sent a punch to the man at his right.
Another sent the end of his gun into Bellamys stomach. Another tackled him to the ground. Then it was over. They took out a pair of cuffs and handcuffed him. The roughly picked him him from the ground. He fought against their grasp. He turned to see the group watching from the edge. He shook his head, telling them not to come for him. He fought again, knowing that his friends would need him.
"Bellamy!" Someone yelled.
He stopped fighting. He knew that voice. He wanted to hear her voice everyday for 6 years. He turned his head as the people continued pushing him back to the ship. Then there she was, standing opposite of the group. On top of the hill. Hands swinging at her side. Her now short blonde hair blew in the wind. It had to be a hallucination, right?
"Clarke?" He whispered to himself.
He started fighting again, harder than before. He managed to wrestle out of their grasp, but he didn't make it far. He got a few feet before someone hit him in the head with their gun. He fell to the ground as the world around him darkened.

Imagine
Bellamy sat at the table with the others. They had been there for a while now, back on the Ark that is. Everyone was all settled in. They all laughed at something Raven had said, she was probably arguing with Murphy...again. It would always in the same way. Raven would look him in the eye with a smirk playing at her lips and say, "Shut up cockroach." And that was his cue that the argument was over. Everyone would disperse out. Harper leaving with Monty, Emori leaving with Murphy, Raven going to work on something, Echo going to her room. Bellamy on the other hand would go to a room on the far side of the Ark. Even though it was a long walk, he still went every night. The room that he had found his first few days here. The room that would remind him of someone he had lost. The girl he couldn't save, even though every fiber of his being told him to run and save her..he didn't. Because he had to use his head, no matter what his heart said. He would sit down on the edge of the bed and look at the drawing on the walls and floors. The trees of Earth on the floor. The bugs drawn on the walls. He had never known that Clarke drew, she had never told him. He wouldn't have thought anything of the room and the drawing in it if it weren't for two little letters carved into the wall next to the bed. CG

Imagine
Monty sat in the hallway back on the ark. His hands uncovered, revealing the still healing radiation burns. He sat alone, leaving himself to his thoughts. He mourned for his recently deceased best friend.
In this hallway is where they first met. The first time they accidently bumped into each other. They instantly hit it off. Monty would have been taller than Jasper at the time. They had been inseperable since.
In that hallway was where they first got into trouble. They had stayed out later than they were suppost to, Kane sent them back to their rooms with a warning.
They walked that hallway everyday on the ark. They always walked side by side. Even when they fought, they walked in silent. They were each others best friends. They shared everything. They were brothers.
Now Monty would never walk the hallways with him. He would never get into trouble with him again. They would never have another fight. They would never celebrate another birthday together. They would never make moonshine together again. They would never see each other again, not in this lifetime anyway. Monty wouldnt be able to give his friend a proper funeral. The only thing he could do was wait until he got to the other side.
What he wouldn't give to see him one more time. What he wouldn't give to see his goofy smile and goggles again. What he wouldn't give to laugh with him just one more time. What he wouldn't give to have one more fight. What he wouldn't give to do their secret handshake together. What he wouldn't give to be with his brother.

Imagine
They had been in space for just a few days.
Echo still feels like an outsider, which she is. She sticks to the shadows. She is facinated by the stars. She constantly stares out the window of her room.
Harper sticks close by Montys side. She tends to his radiated hands as best as she can. She can't help but blame herself a little. If she had just left with him they might have been safer.
Monty still grieved over the loss of his best friend, even though they weren't close those last few weeks. They had grown up together, every memory they had was with each other. Now he will never see him again. He won't make new memories with his brother. He won't see him grow old. And he will never make another case of moonshine with him again.
Raven has started work on the ship. Trying to busy herself. She tries to help Monty. Trys to help him get through whatever is running through his head.
Emori is basically stuck to Murphy's hip. She doesn't trust anyone except Murphy. She convinces Murphy to take the room far away from everybody.
Murphy knew the people who had died but did not grieve as badly. He knew clarke had saved them all and was grateful. He assumed the leader role for a little while, so Bellamy could have time to greive.
Finally there is Bellamy. The boy who wanted to save everyone but couldn't. The boy who had to leave the two people he cared about most in the world, alone. He blamed himself for everything. Octavia shouldnt have been in the conclave, someone else should have done it. Then she would have maybe come with him. He would have had his sister. Maybe he should have went with Clarke and helped her. She should be up there. She should be leading everyone.

Imagine
What if Bellamy actually heard Clarke's messages. What if he knew at what time Clarke would radio in and would wait for her and when she called in unexpected he dropped everything and ran to the radio. And everyone knew that when Clarke was speaking they all had to shut up. With each message Bellamy could hear the pain behind her voice and could tell she was losing hope. Until one day she found a kid and she talked on the radio for a while, telling Bellamy all about her and how she reminded her of him. He would listen to every word and when she stopped talking he would go sit on the window and look down at the little patch of green.

Clarkes message pt6
Day 1850: Its been five years, where are you guys? I am outside now. It's like those first few days on Earth when we got here, everything feels the same but different. I can't explain it. Oh and I found a kid out here. Her name is Madi. You guys would like her. She reminds me of you, Bellamy. I can't wait till you guys can meet her. You guys should be coming down any day. You have the brightest minds up there with you, figure something out and get down here.

Yet in season one, Bellamy kept telling Wells that Clarke didn't see him. Three seasons later she sees Bellamy. Took her long enough.

Clarke's message pt5
Day 1460: I can't believe it's been four years. I will hopefully be seeing you guys this time next year. That is if you haven't killed each other by now. I went outside last night and looked up at the stars. I think I saw you guys. If I looked close enough i though I might have saw raven spacewalking. I'm just kidding, sarcasm level: expert. I wish i knew what you all were doing up there. Is Murphy and emori still together? And Monty and Harper? How much have I missed out on?

Clarke's message pt4
Day 730: It's been two years now. I looked out my window today and you will never guess what I saw. A flower. I think the world is trying to heal itself now. I might put on one of the suits tomorrow and walk outside. I still don't trust the radiation even if I do have night blood now. If I don't radio in tomorrow, blame the radiation. May we meet again.
