Does anyone know where to find the Real Hia novel? Someone mentioned that they are the third couple from Your Sky to have a novel but I cannot find a translated version nor the original raw novel.
I have found both Your Sky and Punlee's novels but its like RealHia's novel doesn't exist?

Next week's Your Sky looks like it's going to be rough. But, I'm looking forward to seeing how Teerak navigates his father's disapproval. At the beginning of the show, Teerak's biggest obstacle was his inability to set boundaries and insist the people around him respect those boundaries.
He's uncomfortable with saying no because he wants to please everyone around him, and he doesn't like negative emotions. We've seen him slowly tackle this issue with his ex-girlfriend, and with Oh, where he was finally able to say, "No, I don't like you and I don't want to date you, and actually I'd like you to leave me alone so I can be with the person I do like."
That was huge, but the stakes were low. Oh isn't someone Teerak wants any sort of relationship with, so ultimately hurting his feelings is a temporary moment of discomfort that Teerak can move on from relatively easily.
The conflict with his parents is going to hurt. It's always painful when you realize your loving parents are just people -- flawed, imperfect, and fallible. Being let down by people you love and respect sucks, but my hope is that all the growth he's had because of his love for Fah will enable him to fight for that love.
I think his instinct is going to be a desire to please his parents, but he loves Fah, and he wants to be with Fah. The ultimate display of his growth as a character will be him fighting for that love even if it makes his parents upset with him. And, while I know he's going to be deeply hurt by his parents and my heart breaks for him, I also know that he has a great sister, and great friends who will fight for him and stand by his side while he goes through this next stage of growth.
In know his parents will come around because they love him, but Teerak is going to have to stand up to them even if it hurts. This show hasn't had a fumble for me yet, so I really hope I get to see Rak fully come into his own next week.

The Rama 8 has been a witness to all our BL couples confessions since the first BL show I watched. I’m glad they added the Rama 8 scene even if it wasn’t in the book. It adds to the cinematic moment. Just pure magic.

Leaving this here instead of my reblog account so I can look back at it and learn :)
I'm late to the party but let's take a quick look at the side couples and then focus on the superb family drama of this episode!
Disclaimer: not a native Thai speaker, still learning 🙏
RealHia
In their 1-minute-faendom, Real keeps calling him บี๋ /bee/ (shortened from เบี๋ /baby/) <3
Tumblr media
This one from the mall scene didn't make it into the subs cause it's kinda hard to convey without a translator's note but- when Hia gets (cutely) mad, Real switches to polite register hehe:
Tumblr media
- Real: อยากไปไหนค้าบ /yaak bpai nai khaap?/ = Where would you like to go? - Hia: กู หิว /guu. hiu!/ = I'm. Hungry! - Real: มึงพึ่งกินไปเอง /meung pheung gin bpai eng/ = Ya just ate! - Hia: 😠 - Real: ...นายพึ่งทานไปครับ /naai pheung thaan bpai khrap/ = ...You only just had a meal.
LeeGhlai
They already speak really sweetly with each other (especially compared to how Lee speaks to his friends lol): Lee either calls himself by name or uses เรา /rao/ (=I; polite) while calling Ghlai by his name, often with a คุณ /khun/ in front of it, too. :) Ghlai also uses เรา /rao/ and calls Lee by his name. And both of them use the occasional sweet polite ครับ /khrap/ (=typically-masculine polite ending particle):
Tumblr media
Lee: เก่งครับ /geng khrap/
But the "Let me give you a ride, please" scene? 😵‍💫 Lee came right in with the steel chair:
Tumblr media
Lee: น้าา นะค้าาา นะ นะคะ /naaa~ na khaaaa? na? na kha?/ -> คะ /kha/ = typically-feminine polite ending particle, can sound really flirty-sweet when used by a guy this way
The pleading alone woulda had me swooning but the sweet คะ /kha/'s?? 🫠
FahRak & the Niran family
I'm pretty sure I don't remember this scene being in the tv version but I adore ปู่ /bpuu/ (=paternal grandfather) and Fah's conversation 🥹
Tumblr media
- Grandpa: การที่จะชนะไม่ใช่เรื่องง่ายน่ะ /gaan thee ja cha-na mai chai reuang ngaai na/ = To win is not an easy feat. - Fah: ผมรู้ครับ ผมจะไม่ยอมแพ้ /pom ruu khrap. pom ja mai yaawm phaae/ = I know. I will not give up. - Grandpa: แสดงว่าเราเป็นคนที่ไม่กลัวแพ้ /sa-daeng waa rao bpen khohn thee mai gluaa phae/ = That means you're someone who's not afraid of losing. - Fah: ผมจะสู้จนก็ผมจะชนะครับ /pom ja suu jon gaaw pom ja cha-na khrap/ = I will fight until I win. - Grandpa: ถ้าเป็นความสุขของที่รักอ่ะ ปู่เห็นด้วยนะ /thaa bpen khwaam-sook khaawng Teerak a, bpuu hen duuay na/ = If it's Teerak's happiness, then I agree.
Rak and Mom- When I first saw this live on tv, I felt so afraid when she started crying. But it became obvious so quickly that she felt awful and guilty for causing her son any pain and worry, even unintentionally 🥺 She never changes the way she speaks to him, not the pronouns she uses (แม่ /mae/ (=mom, used as I) and ลูก /luuk/ (=child, son/daughter, used as You)) nor her sweet tone. Her unwavering warmth is her defining feature and I love her for it.
Tumblr media
Just the image of tol bean Teerak in his sister and mother's embrace had me bawling!
I love how Mom and Babe both scoop the rice for their partners so when Fah does the same for Rak, complete with a sweet-
Tumblr media
พอไหมครับ /phaaw mai khrap?/
-we of course get a reaction shot of Dad going 🤨🏳‍🌈? while everyone else is already in the know and awkwardly trying to keep the festive mood up but also trying to gauge Dad's reaction. The entire birthday sequence was a lot more condensed in the tv version so to see all of this tension in the uncut version... 🫠 Incredible work!
Sidenote: Grandpa's so adorable calling Rak เจ้าลูกหมา /jao luuk maa/ = puppy, but even more affectionate bc of the added เจ้า /jao/ :)
Mom and Grandpa are friendly and warm with Fah, calling themselves ปู่ /bpuu/ and แม่ /mae/ not just with their kids but with him as well! ...in contrast to when Dad loses it and demands Fah leave:
Tumblr media
Dad: คุณออกไปจากบ้านผมเลย /khun aawk bpai jaak baan pom loei/ = You get out of my house!
The scene inside the house right after is what truly broke me :< It takes Grandpa (the ผู้ใหญ่ /phuu yai/ (=elder) and Dad's own father!) saying something for Dad to finally let go of Rak. And then the way Dad speaks to Rak! It really shocked me with how harshly he spoke and how furious he got. He raises his voice and his choice of pronouns drastically changes all the way from loving to livid:
Tumblr media
ฟังพ่อนะ /fang por na/ + he still calls Rak ลูก /luuk/
Rak doesn't back down though and so ลูก /luuk/ becomes แก /gae/...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Rak: รักรักพี่ฟ้า /Rak rak P'Fah/ - Dad: แกมันเด็กเกิน[...] /gae man dek geern/ = You're too young [...]
...and Fah he suddenly calls มัน /man/. But Rak surprisingly talks back:
Tumblr media
- Dad: ไปเลิกกับมัน /bpai leerk gap man/ - Rak: ต้องเลิกเลยอ่อ [...] /dtaawng leerk loei aw/ (it's giving Oh do I now? 🫠)
So then Dad explodes, using rude กู /guu/ (=I) all of a sudden, and I appreciate that the subs tried to convey that via cussing:
Tumblr media
ฟัง กูบอกให้ไปเลิกกับมัน ไปเลิกกับมัน อย่าให้กูต้องพูดอีก /fang! guu baawk hai bpai leerk gap man! bpai leerk gap man! yaa hai guu dtaawng phuut eek/ = Listen! I told you to break up with him! Break up with him! Don't make me repeat myself!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone is shocked, Mom and Babe are tightly holding onto each other, Rak walks away wordlessly, Mom even raises her voice at Dad when he keeps yelling at Rak. They're all aware that he needs to calm THE FUCK down before anyone attempts to talk again.
The following scene of Rak and Babe talking also wasn't in the tv version, afair, I really wish this line at least had made it in though:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
พ่อก็ดูซีรีส์วาย แต่ทำไมเพราะเป็นรัก... /por gaw duu series y. dtaae tham mai phraw bpen Rak.../ = Dad even watched a BL series. So how come once it's me...
More sidenotes:
the fact that Rak fell asleep all cried out in his sister's bed and she texted Fah to let him know the baby's okay 🥺❤
I love how family focused this episode is, it feels realistic in the way everyone is just waiting for Dad to get over himself and come around while they're all standing behind Rak already.
FahRak soft soft soft interlude
Thomas' soft tone as Fah when speaking to Rak already always has me 🥺 but especially when he asks Rak:
Tumblr media
ที่รักอยากเลิกกับพี่มั้ย /Teerak yaak leerk gap phi mai/
...after we just saw him quietly crying by himself? 😞
Tumblr media
พี่ก็รักที่รักของพี่เหมือนกัน /phi gaw rak Theerak khaawng phi meuuan gan/ 😭😭😭 perfect subs, no notes, only happy tears
/ FahRak soft soft soft interlude
Another scene not in the tv version, dinner! Oh, the irony of Dad telling Rak-
Tumblr media
อย่าทำตัวเป็นเด็กเอาแต่ใจ /yaa tham dtuua bpen dek ao dtae jai/ = Don't act like a spoiled child.
-when he's the one unwilling to talk to Rak about Fah! Grandpa even tells his own son off but ultimately none of them are arguing or talking back, they know he's stubborn and will ultimately come around.
Even more sidenotes:
the amount of times I've already said หนู /noo/ 🥺 at my screen because of Teerak's sad little face!
seeing the Klimt exhibition poster on the show on Sunday evening made me remember that I'd read about it and so I went to see it the very next day xD
I appreciate that Grandpa reminds his son about what matters as a father and that Mom got Dad to admit that he's driven by fear for Rak's future - this scene and the entire episode really are played with so much empathy, just like Mom said:
Tumblr media
เรื่องเนี้ย ไม่มีใครผิดใครถูกทั้งนั้น /reuuang niia, mai mee khrai phit khrai thuuk thang nan/ = About this, no one at all is wrong or right.
It's the fact that Rak from the beginning of the show would not have been brave enough to stand up to his dad about his relationship! Rak already was kind and sweet but Fah made him grow as a person 🥹 I appreciate that he gets to tell his dad, too, how much Fah has changed him and made him happier!
And then Dad not only apologizes for his behavior but we come full circle by Dad finally giving Rak the kiss on the head he's been asking for since episode 1:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
พ่อหอมหัวรักแล้ว /por haawm huaa Rak laeeo/ HE DID HONEY HE DID 😭❤️
And I almost broke into tears yet again when I saw Kru Kla confirm my reading of it, in the bts on iQIYI:

Best family confrontation scenes I have watched in Thai BL
To be fair, all the best family confrontation scenes only happens in Filipino movies. Not sure if it’s my short attention span in watching BLs (1.5 or 2x speed is my default) that I don’t pay attention to vital scenes in most of the stuff I watch, but the examples I will be giving are from shows that I DID watch with full attention.
Bed Friend (2565/2023)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bed Friend EP 7 to be exact. It shows the ugly, non-accepting family dynamic that a lot of queer kids experience. Link to the video of the confrontation scene.
If you’ve watched the series, you will know that our protagonist Uea had a really hard childhood. I won’t go through all the trauma he went through that they portrayed in the series but for this specific episode he finally chose to stand up for himself, poured out all the bottled up anger and resentment he has towards his mother who abused him for being gay and stepfather who SAed him during his formative years. He also finally chose to cut off his family except for his sister, who obviously did not grow up in a good environment, who may also be traumatized from seeing the abuse Uea has gone through the hands of their mother and stepfather.
Was it hard and uncomfortable to watch? Yes. Does it happen to real people in real life? Sadly, also yes.
Your Sky (2024/2567)
Tumblr media
(I don’t have a photo of the confrontation scene itself but here’s Rak, P’Babe and mom after his coming out scene to his mom.)
Another series that comes to mind when it comes to Best Family Confrontation scenes is Your Sky EP 11. Yes, even our beloved fluffy university fake dating romcom has some drama in the dreaded penultimate or shall I say cursed episode. It stayed true to the formula of a Classic Thai BL structure and even put the unforeseen drama in the penultimate episode. Now why would they do that? The show had a good streak of light hearted, feel good, slice of life. It needs to have a bit of reality to it, because that’s how we win viewers’ hearts, keep ourselves (but mostly the prod) grounded and remind ourselves why we create and consume these kinds of shows.
A brief but not short explanation why Your Sky has one of the best family confrontation scenes in Thai BL:
Rak’s family is very Vaseline, ideal, perfect to the point that they are what you only see in commercials hence the Vaseline reference. Rak grew up being loved and full of love. You would not see the mess that happened when Rak introduced Fah as his bf at the lunch table. To be fair, Grandpa is one of the best grandparents in Thai BL. He is open-minded and listens to what people have to say. Rak’s mother was still in denial, disappointed a bit, but swallowed all her unrealistic expectations she put on her child and chose to accept Rak because she loves her child so much. Now here’s the ugly part, his dad, who was portrayed easy-going always smiling family man out of all people caused the uncomfortable scene of not accepting his queer kid. The picture perfect family full of love we once knew crumbles down to the ground. It was dramatic, it was a mess. Rak’s sister, P’Babe who knew about Rak and Fah broke down into tears trying to protect Rak. Rak being brave finally after being a people pleaser all this time, stands up for himself, walks out and shuts off, hardly feeling anything, his demeanor becoming stone cold.
Seeing the cracks of the picture perfect family and actually crumble was a cinematic moment. It was uncomfortable. It was ugly. It felt so real. It was done really well.
I don’t want to end it here because I still love the Nirun family who raised their children well. Spoiler: they actually broke the EP 11 curse because they didn’t end it on a sad note. Dad apologized to Rak & had to unlearn his outdated mindset. (though in real life parents might take ages to unlearn all the wrong things taught to them). The Nirun family reconciled. The torn family photo has been put together back on with some tape. Dad’s words would cause internal scars to Rak’s heart and the entire family but that is reality. Family may hurt us but if we understand and apologize for the hurtful things we say, love will still be bigger.

Punlee really took a quick break from fixing everyone’s love life to go charm the fuck off some stranger and accomplished in 30 seconds what the rest of our bl boys can’t do in 9 episodes. I am in awe.

Over saturation of BL ships
This post came to be after I watched a pilot trailer today and then yt suggesting another pilor trailer. I had seen that one already but what sparked my interests was the views of said trailer. And then my mind went to GMMTV.
Mandee VS GMMTV
Tumblr media
So we got Your Sky the series. After 4 weeks it got 1.7 mil views. I was surprised. I mean it's a pretty generic storyline and it's a new ship ThomasKong. If you watched DMD friendship the reality you already know them a bit but otherwise completely new.
Tumblr media
Now GMMTV's highest watched pilot trailer is The Heart killers released a month ago and stars the pretty famous ships FirstKhao and JoongDunk. Despite it's not seen much yet story line and the established ships it only managed to get 1.3 mil views so far.
Tumblr media
Then there's Mandee with Khemjira the series. Original story line but again features a new ship KengNamping. Yet it managed to get 1.3 mil views already in just 11 days. Which is the same amount as The Heart Killers got after a month. And with populair ships.
Tumblr media
Then last but not least Perfect10 Liners. A generic BL story line but packed with some of the more populair GMMTV ships. Yet it only managed to get 1 mil views after a month!
Now I want to throw in one more example which is not from the companies just mentioned
Tumblr media
My Stand-In from YYDS. Fresh, most likely one time couple with an unique story line. And look at the views for the first ep! 55 mil!
Are we now more interested in new faces then seeing the same couples over and over again? Except for diehard shippers? Are fresh faces starting to overpower the established ships and their marketability? Can companies no longer throw in established ships just to sell a basic story line? Are they going to have to put in more effort?
It looks like the trends in BL world are beginning to change - and I am here for it - let us see where this new direction is taking us.

Has there ever been a Domundi 'ship that couldn't kiss? Because whatever workshopping they're doing is seriously better than almost all of the competition. (As much as I love many of the GMMTV boys, some of them could use some workshopping. I wish Pond and Phuwin would do a Ninew Pinya workshop tbh because he gets the flipping best results. I can't WAIT to see what Ninew does as a solo director, and I'm so glad GMMTV hired him. [He's doing Only Friends 2 sans Jojo!])
Anyway, this post brought to you by Thomas and Kong doing a lovely job with their kiss scene in yesterday's Your Sky episode.

Episode 11 of Your Sky really was brilliantly done. It was hard to watch, because it should be hard to watch. Uncomfortable truths need to be told. Even though I wish it wasn't, that's the world we live in. No use sugarcoating it. The world can be ugly.

of course this is a fwb to lovers trope, but it'll hurt like a i've been hit by a truck when the angst kicks in... but i love this trope so much so call me masochist or whatever.
But the fact that King tried to go and apologize and try to make up for the fact that he couldn't go with him and uea immediately shutting him down 😭like uea is so hurt that King didn't just choose him. But I feel for King he wants uea to do the same and be the one to call this whole bed friend situation off and actually try to give him a chance to start a relationship they both want each other but I feel like they are waiting on the other one to do just that 😭

that 3 years was definitely worth the wait. it's really been a long while since i found a show that's worth being passionate about and write a little reaction post/review. I love Domundi, the actors and every show they have put out so far. But I found my ult of ults in the BL fandom. NetJames is definitely my ult bl ship, while the rest of the dmd boys are close runner ups because all of them are well-paired with skyrocketing chemistry.
What I thought Bed Friend was going to be: high heat series about a cold young man and a player who had to prove himself trustworthy of more than a casual lay
What Bed Friend actually is about: a seriously abused and traumatized young man attempts to embrace his slut era by entering into a monogamous friends with benefits relationship with the local office player who's been in love with him forever and learns how to be loved and embrace his own sexuality, passion, fears and hope after being cheated on by a scumbag.
I love this show.

Bed Friend EP 3 Unloading (UNCUT VERSION) *contains spoilers
The way i have to switch locations for watching this bc
-i dont want anyone walking behind me bc everyone in this house is hella nosey
-even the ghost might get shooktd
Kicking off with nc scene for the first 10mins of the episode. this is the superior formula lol
They are setting their rules. We’re off to a good start. Uea is so sure on this fwb thing.
“I don’t like you. You don’t like me.” -THAT’s WHAT HE SAID 🤫
GOODNESS GRACIOUS HE LICKED THE TIDDIE
NC scene… followed by another nc scene. YES GIVE ME THAT ENTIRE MONTAGE OF NC SCENES AND CALL IT A DAY.
King smoking after that good ass sex… pardon my language but im wet. Personal preference but i find smoking attractive.
I like that they are actually communicating more in the office now that they’ve established their setup. They talk more casually now and Uea doesn’t ignore King that much.
Third scene where they’re at each others’ flat. At this point i’m curious how many times they did it already. They’re acting like they’ve been doing it for months now.
Oof that tw: flashback is rlly disturbing irl, it was probably better handled that how Mame would do it.
ALSO, P’Thanamin is coming for Mame’s neck and career!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jade be like: I EXIST!!!!
Uea’s got King wrapped around his finger
Is Gun possibly bi? He mentioned a female coworker and then Uea.
King… the reformed bad boy type? The most attractive trope ever.
Gun attempting to flirt with Uea on purpose? Lmao King is jealous oooohhhh
This damn xerox room again 🤣🤣 yall both might as well bang on top of the photocopier if ya know what i mean
Lmao poor Gun is getting the cold treatment from King 🤣
This cute friendship with Uea and Jade though, Uea will not take any shit especially at work.
King’s wardrobe… sponsored by Uniqlo?
Another nc scene… ooohhh did they switch?? Every nc scene gets even steamier and hotter. Like if i were to choose which is the best nc scene from this ep… damn it’s so hard.
That part where P’Pock is doing that shit with Uea in the parking and it’s a whole ass scene. Having second hand embarassment overall and it was Jade to the rescue but maaaan P’Pock is hella buff and the security guards Jade called 🥴😭😭 just the second hand embarassment overall 🤣🤣
King’s thirst trap is so 🫣🫣🫣
Maam that video call is so wholesome and that scene where King is actually beside Uea is probably just reimagined but PLS BE REAL. It’s so cute and fluffy.
King and whatever binary code is on his screen… so he happens to be the hot IT guy. SIGN ME UP.
P’POCK NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL
we are getting a beach trip and a tw: trauma dive for next ep so pick a struggle. At least it’s in the preview already and we better prepare ourselves mentally.
Yep. It took me TWO ass hours to finish the uncut version of episode 3. Getting more intense yet everything is getting better. I AM SO SEATED.

Bed Friend Episode 2 unloading
I watch the iqiyi version first, which is the uncut. Then I watch on youtube to watch every detail to find easter eggs and like.
Finally watched the yt version and i have unloaded some thoughts abt ep 2:
-King loves to overhear when it comes to Uea. so nosey -At least King knows how to lock doors -Uea’s mom has to be in the top 10 worst bl parents in history. -Finally, a show that touches on getting tested in a positive note, and not because of a std scare. We stan a sex positive King - literally. -King trying to hitch Uea to ride his car gives me second hand embarassment lowkey kilig with second hand embarassment for how loud king was -Net and his comma hair, i want to turn that comma into an oxford comma -Aside from being an unapologetic slut (or at least what his front is) i may sound bias as hell but king has green flags waving all over (personally prefer non-committal people over ppl who put a good boy front but actually v hypocritical) -Their unofficial first date was after the test but the tool of an ex ruined it by existing -That car ride scene gives me a lot of feels. It’ll be too long to unload everything but everything that led to King’s confession just gave me a sense of comfort. Very indie film cliche but i like indie -That scene where uea wrote “try?” on the glass is not ur normal proposal scene but i feel a lot of things in here i might forget how to function. -Not Jade seeing KingUea caught up with each other bc i am seated -The elephant in the office - the nepotism. It’s a very frustrating thing esp if you just want to keep your job peacefully. -The parallels between King and Prapai, though for King he thinks being fwb will be one step closer to winning Uea’s heart one day and getting out of the fwb zone. -King is hella HELLA down bad for Uea. -That build up at the traffic lights and the green light lits up when Uea agrees to go to King’s condo is such a chef’s kiss.
(I only watched the yt version today so i’ll end it here lol)

LIFE UPDATES: after hiatus, what i've been doing, what's next for this acc
Hey! I know I left this account without any post that I will be on a break, but it turned into an indefinite hiatus. A lot has happened in my life and I've been busy I wasn't able to catch up on any series. But now I will try to get back to writing reactions on episodes on series that I am invested to write a review on.
I did say I might write about Don't Say No, but I didn't write anything about it while the series was ongoing. I was still casually watching series without writing my reactions about it. I have to admit I wasn't as invested in BL now as I was before, I did watch Bad Buddy and enjoyed it. I wasn't too attached to them though, but I loved it.
While I was on a break I have been listening and consuming a lot of kpop content, it has been a wild ride for me discovering kpop artists. After having a lot of phases on which groups do I stan, I finally decided on the ult groups I stan. If you are into The Boyz, Seventeen, Enhypen, and Monsta X, let's be friends. I have been collecting merch and photocards too, especially The Boyz, they have been my source of happiness for the past few months. I am very proud of these self-made idols, coming from a company who had nothing, they climbed all the way up. They kinda have a similar story as BTS, I am sappy for those kinds of stories, those who came from nothing. Very relatable.
Anyway going back, I have been watching a lot of ongoing series, mostly Thai, I've been pretty much updated on a lot of series but I haven't found that one series that's pretty much worth writing. Not until You're My Sky... which I will try writing reviews on after rewatching episodes 1-6.
That's about it regarding this life update entry. I don't know who's going to read this but if you are here, thank you for reading.
