Working on this sequence has been an honor. We don't get so many occasions to show good queer representation in animation. So I hope this opens a way to more scenes like this. We need it today more than ever. I want to thank Fortiche for trusting me on this and all the artists that came after the storyboard - and it's such [a] beautiful work. We tried our best to give you the realistic, relatable, and sweet love scene that Cait and Vi deserve. CaitVi Nation, this is for you. P.S. (for those who will understand it) There is no longer version of that scene.

I wanna talk about Vi pulling Cait by the back of the neck here. Not only is it really hot I feel like it has a lot of meaning...

Caitlyn has spent half of season 2 with her neck being a target. She is choked out by the shimmer monster at the memorial.

Sevika chokes her...

Sevika chokes her TWICE while fighting in the tunnels... I imagine after this she has a lot of trauma around her neck being a vulnerability...

She pulls away when Maddie goes for her neck when they are in bed.

She covers her neck completely with the collar of her coat

Covering her neck with her clothing, and her neck thingy(idk what it is called) to display her rank. A symbol of her status and strength in a place that she feels she is vulnerable...

Ambessa's lieutenant chokes her when she is trying to help Vander, he chokes her enough for her eyes to turn read and for her to pass out, she almost died here if Jinx hadn't stopped him... another peace of trauma added to the pile.

She wears a turtleneck after that, perhaps symbolizing the trauma from those previous experiences, an attempt at sheltering herself from pain that area of her body has been subjected to.

Yet she allows Vi to pull her in from the back of her neck.

She allows herself to feel pleasure in Vi's touch there...

She tilts her head so Vi can have more access to the part of her body that makes her feel most vulnerable. Allowing Vi to kiss her there... to trail her fingers down her throat.

She even allows Vi to grab her by it as they are kissing. From anyone else this action would invoke a trauma response but again, she allows herself to take pleasure in it.

Caitlyn allows Vi to touch her most vulnerable parts, she allows herself to feel it as a source of pleasure instead of pain. I think its an incredible beautiful detail...giving yourself to someone you trust fully.

Then when Maddie aims at Caitlyn's neck, its like a huge fuck you to all of the growth Cait has allowed herself. A place on her body that has shown weakness, pain and trauma that she has allowed herself to heal with Vi's hands. Maddie tries to take that away.

Then she still is wearing the turtleneck at the end, symbolizing the trauma she bears. Still vulnerable, to what may come next. But she has Vi by her side to soothe those worries, because she knows they can overcome anything together. I think that is beautiful.

And actually they met? At the end of s2ep6?

"The only thing Jinx cared about was getting you to safety. Then she just surrendered. I didn't even have time to think before they hauled her off. She's being held in the bunker while I decide what to do. I was waiting for you to recover."

So since Cait was fully focused on Vi, maybe Jayce was the one who ordered to arrest Jinx?

Fucking dying over this one because they would cross each other's paths, realize who each other were and we'd be treated to a fucking three minute long chase across the city that would just end with Jayce flying at Jinx like-

Can we talk about the two modes of Caitlyn in this scene?! xD This tall beautiful woman walks into the cell, leans onto the wall with so much attitude and then this snazzy, upper-class, smooth, prim godess throws out the most flirty and sultry lines EVER, like we never heard her talk like that and then seconds after, the instant panic and wanting to make things right and wanting to be honest and correct with Vi, throws in the information about her rebound with worry and panic in her voice idkkkkk this was just sooo funny to me. But also I love Cait for that, that she wanted to be honest. She opened up and is all vulnerable again and that it was important to her to disrupt the moment to let Vi know about this

i don't think you guys understand the levels of lesbianism in this scene

this 90 caliber electric net is caitlyn's E ability......aka, she's the ONLY champion in league of legends that can use this ability.........thus, the writing decision to have vi, a separate, melee league champion, be the only one in the show that EVER triggers it, with her bare hands (and against another champion, at that), suggests levels of intimacy and trust that i can't even comprehend

additionally, this isn't the first time caitlyn's given up her gun (aka ALL of her special abilities) for vi, either

Caitlyn's life is truly insane cause girly was basically a traffic cop who accidentally found out the Sheriff (her boss!) is corrupt and working with a drug lord, then she gets blown up by said drug lord's daughter, gets fired from her traffic cop job for being nosy, then decided to do some vigilante justice by forging a government official's signature to break her future wife out of prison. She then runs around the Undercity chasing after said future wife (who might have a death wish) gets kidnapped, her boss tries to shoot her, then she gets blown up AGAIN, gets broken up with without even being together (yet), gets kidnapped AGAIN, decides not to kill her not gf/future wife's sister (who kidnapped her), then watches said sister kill her mother, then gets promoted from fired traffic cop to SWAT team, not gf becomes her actual gf, gets blown up again again, breaks up with her gf, and then gets promoted to commander of a sovereign nation by a warmongering foreign power.

Also she's 23 and this happened in like a month.
