Hi! Sorry for bothering you, and you don't have to answer this if you don't want to, but I had a question! One of my friends is trans & and has been feeling very dysphoric and bad lately. thank you for asking! telling them positive things like (for me a trans woman) being told i am beautiful and look stunning and things like that helps! if you mean some other things that can help easing your mind and calming down helps so so deeply. Recently some people have reblogged my discourse posts THREATENING other users who have different opinions than me and some of my followers

This is frankly disgusting, and if any of you threaten, harass, or do anything else to any other user under one of my posts I will not let it slide and I WILL talk to you personally and ask you to cut it out. This is a slightly discourse and positive account. We wont get anywhere with threats and violence. I feel absolutely sick with the messages I have seen some members of our community say to transmeds and truscum alike. cut. it. out. I will not be associated with negativity.

Sorry if it came off as if I was saying all people of your political stand point believe that there is nothing good about being trans, but it is a minority. When I identified as a 'cis male transmed' before I realized I had dysphoria and left the transmed community, it was a really dark place. So much of the tags are full of depressing talk about how BAD being trans is and how bad dysphoria is! Personally while I don't always think in every case transgenderness is defined by dysphoria (and id rather not debate that RN) I do think your community can do with some more positive thinking and mind sets.

Instead of saying "look how bad being trans is guys! I hate myself! This is what dysphoria does to you" we need to stop feeding into their ill mindsets and instead feed more positive ones like; "Dysphoria may be bad, but there are positives, there are reasons to be alive as a trans person. "

Being in your community personally before I even came out as a trans woman was terrible. I felt like if I was trans and really had dysphiria my life was over.

Your community needs to fix that really badly if you want to start a movement!

‘Being trans isn’t fun’

It might not be. I might be sad or down in the dumps about being trans. but you can also be allowed to be happy you are trans. or even think it is fun

Yes there are negitives if i was cis I could have continued to live with my parents.  if i was cis I could have more romantic relationships if i was cis I would be easily employed

BUT STOP LOOKING AT THE NEGATIVES! THINK ABOUT ALL THE GOOD THIS HAS OR COULD DO FOR YOU! if i wasnt a trans woman I wouldn’t have had such a loving group of irl and online friends.

if i wasnt a trans woman I would not have the lovely relationships with people I have now. if i wasnt a trans woman I would not have been looked up to by younger trans woman who need support.

Let’s talk about how AWESOME worker bees are.

I’ve been doing some research and discovered some pretty intense stuff.

I’m assuming you know about each bee’s hard-core role in & out of the hive; drones mate, workers collect honey, etc. But, my friends, THAT’S NOT ALL! They have SO many more jobs to do than just that, especially worker bees when they reach certain ages.

Guards

The way that they go about protecting their hive astonishes me, and those who defend the colony are by far my FAVOURITE. Before going to explore the flowers, they have to inspect EVERY SINGLE BEE that comes into the hive. If it doesn’t have a familiar scent, then that means it’s a foreigner. The only time other bees are allowed into the hive is if they bribe the worker bee with nectar.

But- get this- if there ever is a lack of food in the hive during the winter, the worker bees will literally BLOCK the drones from coming into the hive in general. They won’t even let them in. It’s insane.

Cleaners

When a worker bee is first born, they instantly develop the knowledge of cleaning their cell. They do this so that new eggs, nectar, and pollen can be stored. But get this- if they do it wrong, the Queen tells them to do it ALL OVER again!! This is a very human-like characteristic that’s fascinating to see in insects.

Undertakers

The job of the undertaker doesn’t happen until the worker bees have matured a bit. Due to a number of bees in the hive, eventually a few will perish. So, to ensure that there are no possible health threats exposed to the colony, undertakers will remove and dispose of all dead or diseased bees or embryos. It’s sad, but it’s something they have to do to ensure the hive is healthy.

Nurses

These bees really do deserve their names. They take on the task of incubating and caring for the larvae, along with feeding the queen larva royal jelly. According to BBC Earth, they also “prescribe” different types of honey to bees that are sick, as a way of giving them medication.

Builders

Worker bees can start to make wax flakes from consuming plenty of honey & nectar, their food, at the age of 12 days old. This is what ultimately creates the shape of their hives, which truly is an engineering masterpiece as Charles Darwin has said.

These are only a few that I’ve discovered. But the more I research them, the more I realize how intelligent they truly are.

Bees are cool. Let’s save them.
