the david zwirner gallery and the felix gonzalez torres foundation in the smithsonian removed the descriptive plaque for portrait of ross in la by felix gonzalez-torres. the old plaque explained portrait for ross' origins as the artist's partner's aids related death, and replaced it with a plaque with absolutely no information about the piece itself, who ross was, or who gonzalez-torres was either. portrait of ross was also reeranged to lay on the floor long ways instead of in a pile as it typically is situated, and the plaque outside the exhibition FOR GONZALEZ-TORRES omits his sexuality, as well as his aids related death. i'm in utter disbelief

thespius constantly writing allegorical fiction about him and his century-old crush finally getting together after years of pining which he hand-delivers to said crush to render his work as true to his vision as possible and simply hopes that one day his crush will just be able to Know how he feels via Vibes even though that hasn't worked at any point in time and he'd rather let himself suffer watching his crush cut all his feelings out of his work because they aren't consumable enough to an uncaring homophobic faceless audience then to risk rejection from the only person that matters. believe in miracles and they will know your feelings

Summary:

What was it like, to watch another god form? To not know what was going on inside their head, what struggles they may be facing, what the rift might be gifting to them? To stand by and offer solace, not even knowing if it was wanted or needed? To be left in the unknown? AKA, a somewhat less abstract retelling of Click Clack's ascension from mostly Thespius' point of view, and direct companion piece to Act Zero.

This took me over a week to make because I could only draw on some select evenings when I didn't have to study,, The forget-me-nots are pretty self-explanatory, but I don't think the zinnia is. From what I looked up it can be associated with thinking of an absent friend.
