In my consultations with my buyer clients, we talk about what things are just non-negotiable and what things they would be willing to compromise on. Here are some things my clients were not willing to compromise on this year: 1. School District for their children (They didn’t want them to have to change schools) 2. Condition (Some clients only wanted rehabbed homes and was willing to pay the costs for it) 3. Location (Even with limited inventory this year, some clients were willing to wait for homes to pop up in their desired area rather than compromising on location) What are your non-negotiables on a your home? These are the things you absolutely will not compromise on?

Make sure you vet your Real Estate Attorney by asking for their "engagement letter" up front. This letter will detail what services are included with their fee. Will they negotiate any repairs that come up in a home inspection? What are the additional fees for Power of Attorney (POA) or putting the property in trust? Who will order title?
