Synopsis: What did Alhaitham say that made his eldest daughter outraged and frustrated? (A continuation of Fallout and Frustrations)
Pairing: Alhaitham x Female! Reader
Genre: Angst
Note: Actually wanted to include this the previous part but I got lazy and decided to cut it short hehe. Also, I changed how it ended because I didn't like the last one :P
"So tell me, Father. What happened?"
Aqilah fixed an intense gaze at the Scribe, waiting for a straight and clear answer from him. But it seemed every time Alhaitham tried to open his mouth, the words just stuck in his throat.
"What's the matter? Don't tell me that you suddenly lost your ability to speak. Go on now. Usually you have no problem speaking ill of others."
"Aqiโ"
Again Afiyah wanted to rebuke her sister, but she immediately remembered that their father stopped her before. So she didn't continue her words.
"Aqilah... I..."
Aqilah waited.
"I... I..."
And waited. Until...
"I... dreamt of your mother."
And instantly, Aqilah's eyes widened.
"What...?" Aqilah said as she backed away.
"I dreamt of your mother," Alhaitham repeated before continuing. "In the dream, I fell asleep in her lap. She looked like how I remember her to be. Except, I didn't remember her looking so ethereal... She wore a long white flowy dress, she looked like a goddess that descended from Celestia."
Aqilah couldn't help but grimaced, feeling disgusted by her father's words.
"We were having a picnic in a field, flower petals falling from the blue skies. You and Afiyah were running around, playing a game of tag. It feels like our family is perfect and happy," he explained. "But, I knew that was far from the truth. The flower petals suddenly behave strangely and formed a whirlwind around me. The next thing I knew, I was brought to the front of our house."
"When I went inside, I saw your sister in your mother's arms. According to your mother's words, she was asking where I was and kept asking when I will read her a story book. You and your mother offered to read it for her, but Afiyah refused."
"Your mother ordered you to take Afiyah to your room, and now that the both of us were alone, your mother didn't hesitate to tell me her feelings. She told me that I gave the impression that I didn't care. What did she mean to me; Was it her knowledge of an unknown land and its language or was it her powers and origins that interested me; Was she just someone who peak my interest and decided to toy with. For once in my life, I have no words to respond to her own."
Alhaitham stayed silent after his latest explanation, thinking of his next one. But suddenly, Aqilah bursted out laughing.
"So it took you that long to acknowledge what you did?! Maybe I was right about you being dumb after all! Tell me, Father! Tell me! Why do we need to know any of this?!"
Afiyah was horrified by her sister's maniacal behavior. She knew Aqilah wasn't the fondest of Alhaitham, but seeing her snap like that, it was horrifying.
"You're right, Aqilah. I was wrong, for once."
The moment the word slipped off his tongue, Alhaitham was immediately embarrassed. His daughter laughed even harder, seemingly enjoying herself at her father's expense.
"Father! This is why you don't deserve to be called Father! You are nothing more than an impotent old man!"
"Enough, Aqilah! Enough already. Stop it right now, please," Afiyah pleaded.
"Why should I? He never taught us anything. He only took our mother away from us," Aqilah said as she points at Alhaitham.
"I'm sorry, Aqilah. It was never my intention to hurt you."
"Hurt me? Hurt me? Are you kidding me, Father? That's rich coming from you! Just how many times have you been with Mother? How many times have you hurt her feelings? How many times have you hurt Uncle Kaveh's feelings? Do you think Mother would have gone through with it if she knew that you weren't truly into her?! After everything, you still couldn't admit it!"
Kaveh, Alhaitham's former housemate, who heard the loud noises and yelling from the master bedroom, came to see what the commotion was all about.
"What's going on? I was just about to leave when I heardโ" He stopped when he saw how quiet everyone was.
Aqilah took a deep breath and let out a long sigh. "That's it, that's enough, I'm done. I tried putting up with you after Uncle Kaveh told me the truth, and I've given you multiple chances whenever Afiyah told me to. I have no patience left to continue trying. This relationship was already severed to begin with."
Aqilah left the master bedroom pushing past her confused Uncle Kaveh without saying goodbye.
"What?!" Kaveh exclaimed. "Where are you going?"
The girl didn't respond. She simply took her sword and left the house. Kaveh looked at the crying Afiyah with concern before looking at his former housemate mate Alhaitham, questioning what he had said.
Alhaitham shook his head, knowing that he will never hear from her again. And that hurt him more than anything else.
"Aqilah...!"
As he watched his once-proud daughter walk away, Afiyah couldn't hold back anymore. She ran after her sister, catching up with her just by the ramp to Treasure Street.
"Please stop Aqilah! Please! You don't understand what you're doing!"
Aqilah did not turn around. She simply continued walking down the street.
"Aqilah...!"
Afiyah desperately wanted to hug her sister but held back. She didn't want to make things worse. Aqilah stayed not because of her own will, she only stayed because her.
[Author's Note]: Slight change from my last Time to Vote, I managed to finish this first instead of the top voted option. I know, I'm sorry, I'm a big poo poo head. Hey, at least the next chapter will be the last part before the epilogue (if it's not a two-parter like this one :v)

Have I sent a request to you already or is this my first? If it is then I want another Tighnari fic. Anything will do. But I prefer reading it with a female reader. I just want to be loved by TIGHNARI. Give me fluff please please please or angst if you feel like it, I equally love both. I want Tighnari to love me please please please.
Also, I had been looking for your Tighnari fic where reader is dead and only left with his daughter. Thank you for making it.
I just divorced Wanderer.
โ๐พ๐๐๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐โ | ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐
Synopsis: What if Tighnari's spouse didn't succumb to her illness in an alternative universe/timeline.
Pairing: Tighnari x Female! Reader
Genre: Angst & fluff, hurt/comfort
๐ฎ โ Author Answered: Nope, I'm pretty sure this is your first one (if I'm not gravely mistaken :v). Lucky for you, I had something chilling in my drafts for quite some time (and I kinda miss writing for Tighnari). Thanks for the request!
Note: The synopsis will probably make more sense if you've read the first part (or you can read it after this, I won't judge you). Also, I know that alternative universe and alternative timeline are two entirely different things, but I don't know what's the difference. So I just put both, you get the point hehe :3
Perched atop of the largest tree in Gandharva Ville, is a little fox-eared girl adorned in flowers complete with floral binoculars as well. Her name is Zahra. She was surveying the grey skies above Pardis Dhyai, โโwhich means it was bound to rain there. Knowing that, there's only one thing came to her mind.
'Papa...'
As she continued to look through her binoculars, Zahra's large and pointy ears twitched a few times. Not because they're itchy, but because she was not alone.
"There you are, my little flower. What are you doing up here? Get down."
It was you, her mother. Hearing you call her, Zahra immediately got down to a much safer place. You kneeled down in front of the little girl, holding both of her hands in yours.
"What are you up to now? Hmm?"
Your question earned a silence from Zahra, as she looked back at the direction she surveyed earlier. Zahra may be the type of child who often gets into trouble, but she will never keep secrets. And she felt safe enough to share it with you.
"...I'm worried that Papa hasn't applied his plant-based waterproofing oil to his tail before leaving for Pardis Dhyai. And looking at the color of the sky above it, it looks like it's going to rain heavily," Zahra confessed.
You let out a sigh of contentment as you went to pat your daughter's head.
"That's very considerate of you, Zahra. But your father will be fine. He doesn't want us worrying about him all the time, does he? So I know he can take care of himself."
"...Yeah, you're right. Maybe I was worrying about nothing. Thanks, Mom," Zahra said.
You smiled at her before standing back up. Pulling out your floral pocket watch, it showed a bit past lunch time.
"A little past lunchtime... You haven't had lunch yet, have you, sweetheart? What do you want to eat?"
"Uhh... Ooh! Mushroom Hodgepodge!"
"Even your tastes resemble your father's, huh? Alright, let's get Ashpazi to cook it for you."
(Meanwhile, at Pardis Dhyai)
The Traveler had just finished talking with the manifestation of the Balladeer, indicated by showcasing his newfound power by causing lightning around Pardis Dhyai. Paimon who remembered that Tighnari and Dehya were still outside, immediately asked the Traveler to go check on them.
"That means anyone outside is in danger! Let's go, Tighnari and Dehya still must be fighting!" Paimon urged.
They ran outside and saw that the Fatui soldiers were not there, meaning they must have retreated.
"Oh, have the Fatui retreated?" Paimon wondered.
"Tighnari and Dehya are over there!"
The Traveler and Paimon rushed over to them, and something seemed amiss.
"Hey! What happened to you!?"
"He's hurt," Dehya said.
Tighnari quickly denied Dehya's words, but regretted it soon after. "I'm fine... Ugh!"
"Don't move. I've seen Eremites get struck by lightning before. You need to rest."
"Struck by lightning!?" Paimon exclaimed.
Dehya recall what happened when the both of them were not there. How the weather suddenly became abnormal, how lightning started attacking everyone, almost as if it were alive. Just very bizarre things, to the point of forcing the Fatui soldiers to retreat.
The Traveler apologizes for Tighnari's wound, reasoning that it was probably them who might have triggered the thunder and lightning.
"Huh... It's alright, I'm sure you also never expected this to happen. Don't blame yourself," Tighnari said.
Even though he is wounded, Tighnari still worries about others rather than himself. "My wound aside, you look like... you've seen something unpleasant. Is Haypasia alright?" he asked.
"She's okay for now, but I want to tell you something."
"Ugh...!"
"Hey! Didn't I tell you not to move?"
"Just in case... Ugh! Let's... go to Haypasia's place, and talk about things there."
They headed inside and continued their conversation. The Traveler recounted everything from "meeting" the Doctor at Port Ormos to their encounter with the Balladeer while checking up on Haypasia.
Hearing the explanation from the Traveler, Paimon, Tighnari and Dehya each had their own reaction. Paimon was surprised by what the Balladeer was thinking, Tighnari ridiculed the Akademiya's god creation plan, while Dehya had a more โpositiveโ reaction.
Nonetheless, with the Doctor out of the picture, Dehya took this as their plan being successful.
"Yay, that's a big accomplishment!" Paimon cheered.
"Ugh! I'm... also happy for you," Tighnari said.
Dehya thanked Tighnari and told him to rest, along with the Traveler.
"Yeah, yeah... alright," he responded.
"Okay, that wraps things up for us here at Pardis Dhyai. Traveler, it's about time we rendezvous with the others at the Grand Bazaar. Let's continue to keep a low profile. You can head there once you're ready."
"Ugh... What... What time is it?"
By the time Tighnari woke up, it was already dark outside. That meant he must have had enough rest, so maybe this was the right time for him to get up.
"Agh! Perhaps... that wasn't such a good idea."
Tighnari sat back down and leaned against the wall behind him. He thought to himself, what should he do now? His body was aching from the long period of inactivity, but at the same time moving wasn't a good idea. So... what now?
Being so deep in thought, Tighnari forgot to pay attention to the "wall" he was leaning on, as it suddenly started to move.
"Hm? What theโ Oh, Karkata. Sorry, I didn't realize that I was actually leaning on you."
"Kulilu?"
The mechanical crab Tighnari saved was named Karkata, created by a Sumerian researcher by the name of Abattouy. It seems surprised that Tighnari moved and thought it was the one who woke him up.
"Kuli..."
"Why are you apologizing? I'm the one who leaned on you and made you cautious so you don't wake me up, I should be the one apologizing."
It turned out that after some time spent with the mechanical crab, Tighnari began to understand what Karkata wanted to say. Certainly a lot easier to communicate with each other.
"Look, I'll just move over heโ"
Tighnari quickly regrets his decision to move. Instantly, his entire body ached as he clutched on to his side. Karkata was confused about what to do seeing him in pain. It moved around, thinking of ways to help Tighnari but it hesitated.
Karkata suddenly remembered the cherry blossom bracelet you gave, which was laced at one of its joints.
(Flashback)
Tighnari took you to Pardis Dhyai to meet Karkata, and it was the first time you meet the mechanical crab. When you first approached Karkata, it was confused and somewhat cautious of you. It's understandable when you're meeting a complete stranger. But seeing Tighnari was the one who took you there, Karkata quickly warmed up to you.
"So, Karkata was created by your junior researcher named Abattouy?" you asked as you pet the mechanical crab.
Tighnari who was leaning against a tree answered, "Yes, he was the one expelled from the Akademiya for researching mechanical life forms. When Karkata took me and the Traveler to their 'new home', we only found his already cold body."
You grimaced at the image in your head. "I wouldn't know how to react if I were it too. Poor Karkata, it must have been through a lot..."
Suddenly, you took out a bracelet and tied it to one of Karkata's joints.
"Karkata, if you ever feel that you're troubled, always remember this bracelet. Come meet me at Gandharva Ville. Oh wait, do you even know the way there? Don't worry, next time ask Tighnari to show you the way."
(Flashback ends)
"Kalu! Kalu!"
"Agh... What is it, Karkata?"
The mechanical crab immediately showed the bracelet, and Tighnari slowly caught on.
"Isn't that the bracelet that Y/n gave you? What, do you want me to take you to her?"
"Kolu!"
Tighnari sighed. "As much as I want to, I can't. I can't move and who will look after Haypasia even if I could? Actually, now if I think about it, how can I even get there?"
(Back at Gandharva Ville)
"Aha! I won!"
"Aww, I lost... I must say, you're getting better at this, Zahra."
Sitting on the floor of Collei's hut, they were playing a game of Genius Invocation TCG with you as the audience. Collei won the previous match, this time it was Zahra's turn to win.
"Hehe, I like it when I win. Let's play again!" Zahra exclaimed.
"If you two keep going at it, eventually I will understand how to play this game. I can't focus on my work if all I think about is tactics and strategy to win. Plus, it's getting late and way past your bedtime."
"Aww, just one more match please~"
"At first I also still wanted to play because we tied. But now that I think about it, I'm getting pretty sleepy..." Collei spoke up.
"See, even your contender is unable to keep up. You can continue this tomorrow. Now, put your cards back into the box."
Zahra started tidying up her cards while you help Collei put her cards back into her Casket of Tomes. After she finished, Zahra's ears started twitching again, causing the fox girl to turn her head.
"Uncle Amir's dogs are barking again. Shouldn't they know how to behave by now?" Zahra said as she exits Collei's hut.
You and Collei watched Zahra leave before looking at each other and laughed.
"Be sure to wear a blanket when you sleep. It feels like it's going to be cold tonight."
"Mm-hm, I will. Goodnight, Y/n."
You kissed Collei goodnight before exiting her hut. You then found Zahra with her hands on her hips, examining the broken bridge.
"Someone really should do something about this bridge... Ooh! I have an idea."
Zahra then used the Dendro Vision on her to lift the two ends of the bridge and connect it with flowering vines.
"Eeepp! Doesn't that look pretty? Especially if you add small lanterns to the bridge," she said, satisfied with her work.
"As for the lanterns, I'll talk about it to your father or other Forest Watchers. And you should probably give back my Dendro Vision, Zahra. You wouldn't know when I'll need it."
"We're just dealing with some unruly dogs. There's no need to use your Vision, Mom."
Zahra was wrong. It wasn't just some unruly dogs. Amir's dogs were barking at the cowering Karkata who has brought Tighnari back to Gandharva Ville.
"Ugh...! Amir, can you tell your dogs to back down? They're scaring Karkata..."
"I'm trying...! Hey guys, calm down. The mechanical crab is friendly. It's one of us...! Come on, Sag. You're my best student, you should know better."
After seemingly succeeded in calming the dogs down, you arrived at the scene. The person you were waiting for his return was indeed back, but not in the condition you expected him to be.
"Tighnari?"
As Amir helped Tighnari down from Karkata, he let out a grunt, which made you rush to his side.
"What happened to you?"
"Stuff happened. It escalated to me having to clash with the Fatui and... Please don't panic when I say this... *sigh* ...I got struck by lightning," he answered.
"You got struck by lightning?!" You and Amir said at the same time.
Even though Tighnari told you not to panic, you couldn't help but do the exact opposite of what he just said. I mean, how could you not panic? The love of your life literally fought off soldiers from the most powerful military force in all of Teyvat, and then he got struck by lightning? How could you not?!
"In that case, I should carry you back to your hut. Here, get on my back," Amir said as he crouched down.
"That's not necessary, Amir. I can walk on my own."
Amir who was getting tired of his resisting colleague argued, "Please don't be so stubborn, Tighnari. What if you injure yourself more on the way there?"
"Here. Use this instead."
Zahra who had been silent all this time, suddenly brought a stretcher made from your Dendro Vision's powers. She probably made it when you and Amir were panicking over Tighnari.
"Good thinking, Zahra! Alright, hand it to me," Amir said.
Tighnari sighed as he turned to his daughter, "You really shouldn't have, Zahra... I already told you... I'm... fine..."
"Tighnari!"
Tighnari's words trailed off as he slowly fell backwards. Luckily you were right beside him and were able to quickly caught him.
"Okay, maybe now the stretcher is needed. Nasrin, can you help us out over here? We need the extra help."
(In the early morning)
"Tighnari? Are you awake?"
Cyno the General Mahamatra invited himself to enter the Forest Watcher's hut. When he saw Tighnari and you had fallen asleep, holding his hand on the side of the bed, he wanted to take back his stupid question. But he was too late, because someone already answered him.
"Nope, obviously not. But I am, so, there's that."
"What are you doing up so early?"
It was Zahra, the Little Forest Ranger in Training. She was eating something as she sat down on her foldable mattress on the floor.
"I couldn't sleep after what happened last night, and probably because of the adrenaline that caused me not to realize that I'm hungry. I didn't want to wake anyone up so I cooked up a bowl of mushroom rice for myself," she said.
"Then it must have been serious. Can you tell me what happened?" Cyno asked.
"I can, but not here. Again, I didn't want to wake anyone up and they both really needed their sleep. Let's go outside."
"Wait, before that, do you have a spare blanket that you're not using?"
'The General Mahamatra is cold?' is what Zahra first thought of when Cyno asked that question. Not wanting to question him, Zahra went to get a blanket that was stored in the lower cabinet of a shelving unit.
She then gave the blanket to Cyno, who then draped it over your shoulders. Zahra couldn't help but โaww-edโ a little.
"There. Come on, let's go," Cyno said.
With her blanket tied around her neck and her bowl of mushroom rice in hand, Zahra and Cyno exited the hut and looked for a place to sit.
"Now that we're outside, can you tell me what happened?"
Zahra then recounted the incident last night.
"I had just finished playing Genius Invocation TCG with Collei when I heard Uncle Amir's dog barking. So me and Mom went to cheโ"
"Did you win or did you lose?"
"Huh?"
Cyno's interruption did surprise Zahra, but she laughed it off. "We actually tied. So we'll continue it tomorroโ Wait... technically it's today huh..."
"Hm. And although I can't be there to witness it, I'll be rooting for the both of you. I don't care who wins or loses, I will be happy either way."
"Aww, thanks. Now, can I continue the story?"
(A flashback that's written from Zahra's POV)
I watched as Nasrin and Uncle Amir carried Papa off to the hut, with Mom following behind. I then approached the mechanical crab that had been silent from earlier.
"I believe your name is Karkata, isn't it? I just wanted to say on behalf of my mom and also from myself, thank you for bringing my Papa back safely. She didn't mean to forget to thank you, probably because of her panic. And don't worry, Papa is in good hands. I've made sure of it."
"Kolu!"
"Hehe. Now go hang out somewhere away from the dogs. I'll go check on things over there."
By the time I got inside, they've already taken off Papa's hoodie. I still remember how shocked I was to see the scar on his upper body. It spread out like tree roots, with an electrifying purple tint.
I can't lie that I'm scared and worried, but I'm trying to keep my cool. On the other hand, mom is really freaking out. She paced around the room, checking Papa over multiple times, getting ingredients for the ointment, even messing up her workplace in the process.
At that moment, I just knew I had to do something.
"Zahra, give me back my Dendro Vision. I need it toโ"
I grabbed onto Mom's hands and held it, looking at her with a stern look. I could tell from her face that she was a little surprised by my actions.
"I can take over from here. You can go out and take a breather."
I knew Mom would refuse and try to argue, so I quickly silenced her.
"It's okay, you've done well. You deserve a break."
She simply sighed and left the hut.
(Flashback and Zahra's POV ends)
"So what happened afterwards?" Cyno asked.
"Well, I did my thing and let Mom back in. I found her hugging her knees just outside the hut on the floor. She immediately rushed to Papa's side the moment I told her she was allowed back in. It also couldn't be help that the commotion woke Collei up..."
"Hm. I see..."
Cyno then went silent and was deep in thought. Zahra was silent too and was just about to spoon a spoonful of mushroom rice into her mouth, when she realized that her bowl was empty.
'Aww, I'm out of mushroom rice...' she thought.
Suddenly, the General Mahamatra stood up and pat Zahra on the head.
"Whaaโ Hey!"
"I have to go now. Today is going to be a big day for the people of Sumeru, and I have to make sure the preparation is thorough. Get enough rest so you can win that Genius Invocation TCG match!" Cyno said.
"Oh, okay. Geez, excited much... Uhh, good luck, Uncle Cyno!"
(A couple of days later)
You heard the sound of birds chirping, that meant your consciousness was starting to return. When you woke up and looked at the hut's entrance covered by the large leaf curtains, you noticed how bright it is outside. It couldn't be that it's still early, right? So you got up, tidy up your bed and headed out.
"Good morning, Y/n! I see that you decided to sleep in today. So I made some Pita Pockets for breakfast. Would you like one?"
As you rubbed your eyes, you processed the voice that greeted you. And after a while, you realized it was Collei.
"Collei? What are you doing out of bed? You could've gotten yourself injured. What if you fall over?"
"No, it's okay. Don't worry! I feel much more energized than the previous day," she replied.
Hearing her reply, you then sighed. "I appreciate your effort in convincing me, Collei. But I'm afraid Iโ"
"No, this is for real! It feels like as if my Eleazar disappeared without a trace..."
"...What?"
Unintentionally, you pulled Collei's hand a little too hard to confirm what she said. When you realized you're being too rough, you murmured a quiet 'sorry' before continuing. You detached her sleeves to see the dark, hardened scales on her wrists had disappeared completely.
(Somewhere nearby)
Tighnari and Zahra were alerted by the sound of crying, sounding like it was coming from nearby. The Forest Watcher asked her to investigate the sound with him. The little fox-eared girl quickly stuffed her half-eaten Pita Pocket into her mouth, before putting down her plate and taking her other Pita Pocket with her.
"Y/n, what happened?"
The moment they reached the location, Zahra and Tighnari were stunned. They saw you crying as you crouched down and Collei who was confused about how to comfort you.
While Zahra took a bite of her Pita Pocket as a way of reducing her shock, Tighnari let out a sigh of contentment.
"I guess you found out about Collei's recovery if you're crying like that, Y/n. I too was shocked when she said that the scales on her body had disappeared. At first I thought that it was impossible since Eleazar had no known cure, but I gave up figuring out how. I think, for now, it's best if we be grateful for this unexpected miracle."
"I can assure you that these are tears of happiness, Tighnari," you said as you hugged the Trainee Forest Ranger.
The Forest Watcher came closer and pulled the both of you into a hug. Zahra who was still chewing the rest of her Pita Pocket, quickly swallowed it and joined in.
"Hey, I'm being left out! Group hug!"
[Author's Note]: Oh noo, poor Hat Guy ๐
I'm sorry this took so long, but I managed to finish it as my internship program is coming to an end. I only have about 10 days of break before returning back to school ๐ญ
Hopefully I could finish that other request that's nowhere near done before I start my senior year of high school. Wish me luck :')

Oh wow, so after I voted on one of the options to see the results, I was rather surprised (shocked even, I guess you could say :v)
I put Electro and Cryo as the "clear option" because the trait is somewhere in between. But I didn't expect the other elements would be the dominant vote ๐ณ
Let's do this another time, shall we? Where all of the 7 elements are a option so we know which one specifically. Also, try to look up "Genshin Vision Traits/Personality" before voting. I look forward to your participation๐๐ป

Okay, so... I've had this idea in my head for the past week and I had to write it down before I forgot about it. This may or may not flow as nice as I hope it would be, but hopefully it makes sense if you put the pieces together :)
[Warning!]: This may not be lore accurate, I'm just looking for gaps that I could fill in with my own ideas/headcanons :v Also may contain spoilers
After rewatching ๅตๅคชMiota's Sand Dust Genshin Impact anime music video for CN HoYoFair, I came up with an idea.
What if King Deshret had a son, with another God that's in their circle of friends? Like there's another God besides Greater Lord Rukkhadevata and the Goddess of Flowers, but little less influential. Here's the deal.
King Deshret was in love with the Goddess of Flowers and she was aware of his affections, although it's unknown whether she reciprocated his feelings. So, what if after her death, King Deshret married this other God and had a son with her as a form of releasing his grief and sorrow? Like as a way to forget his feelings for the late Goddess of Flowers and brainwash himself into thinking he's in love with the current God.
This Goddess that King Deshret married was Ratih Nazarata, the Lunar Goddess, the Goddess of Beauty, the symbolic of life. Supposedly she was a replacement of the moon sisters, Aria, Sonnet, and Canon. Her birth was a wish that such tragedy would not happen again. It is said that the ancient civilization of Ay-Khanoum was named after her.
Enough about them, let's talk about the son. Okay, I have two possibilities for how the boy will live:
After King Deshret's sacrifice, the Lunar Goddess carried out her role as his mother and accompanied him until her life was taken by Eleazar, the same illness that was inadvertently brought by her late husband.
Witnessing the destruction and suffering of her people, the Lunar Goddess could not bear to see it and decided to join King Deshret. Before making her sacrifice, she entrusted her young son to the hands of one of King Deshret's Priests.
Okay, that was just the early part of his life, now let's talk about the recent past. All I know is that he fell unconscious during the cataclysm and only woke up after Lesser Lord Kusanali's rescue.
So, what do you think? If you wanted to know more about him, don't worry, I have an OC in the making ;) But before I end this brainrot, I have a question.

Synopsis: A haunting dream turned nightmare caused the Akademiya's Scribe to collapse at work. The news was made known to the youngest daughter first before to the eldest. But when she found out the news and the reason behind it, she expressed her frustrations.
Pairing: Alhaitham x Female! Reader
Genre: Angst & fluff
Note: Since our 'feeble scholar' didn't appear much in the previous part, let's give him some more screen time. Probably slightly OOC though :v
'What a pleasant breeze... This kind of weather is perfect for doing nothing at all,' Alhaitham thought.
Wait...
A breeze...?
He didn't remember opening the bedroom window the night before, nor did he forget to close it. What on Teyvat is going on?
It became much clearer when Alhaitham opened his eyes. The clear blue sky greeted the Scribe's eyesight. Falling flower petals danced as the wind blows. He was outside, in some field in fact when he looked around.
That doesn't make it any clearer... What's really happening?
Alhaitham then realized that he was lying on something, or rather lying on someone's lap. He also realized this someone was gently stroking his hair.
The confused Scribe looked up and saw (hair color) colored hair blowing in the wind. The longer he looked at this someone's face, the more he started to recognize the person.
"...Y/n?"
A call of your name made the person looked down. Their (hair color) hair and (eye color) eyes... No doubt, it was really you.
"Hm? Oh, you've waken up from your nap. Good afternoon, Alhaitham. How was it?"
Alhaitham didn't answer. Rather, he was mesmerized by how ethereal you looked. You donned a long white off shoulder flowy dress and a matching flower crown. In his eyes, you look like a goddess that descended from Celestia.
He got up from his lying position and saw little Aqilah and Afiyah running around, playing a game of tag.
"Be careful, you two. You could've fallen."
Right after you said that, little Afiyah tripped and face planted into the ground. Alhaitham immediately stood up, having the sudden urge to help his fallen younger twin daughter. But he didn't move because Afiyah had been helped by her older twin sister.
With her small voice and waving movements of her hands, Afiyah reassured her parents.
"I'm okay!" she said.
Alhaitham sat back down, letting out a sigh of relief. You smiled at him and he didn't let it go unnoticed. When he turned to face you, you looked away with your head slightly lowered.
"So, you really do care about our two daughters, don't you?" you asked.
Your question confused Alhaitham. Why are you asking this? After losing you, of course he doesn't want to lose anyone else. If you're still alive, does this mean that... this is a dream? Of course he cares about his daughters.
Even though he didn't answer, you already knew what's in Alhaitham's mind. You smiled as you said, "I see. That's a relief to know."
...
"But..."
WHOOSH
The falling flower petals suddenly behave strangely and formed a whirlwind around the Scribe, obscuring Alhaitham's vision of you.
"Did you ever have the thought to care about me?"
"Y/n!"
When Alhaitham stretched out his hand to reach you, the gap in the whirlwind of flower petals had closed and taken him elsewhere.
The whirlwind dispersed and it was suddenly dark outside. Alhaitham realized that he had also changed places. He was in Sumeru City, not in the fields where he was before. In fact, he was right in front of his house.
The lights from inside the house were on, so that meant at least someone was still awake. By reflex, he looked for his house keys in his pocket.
It was there.
Without him realizing it, Alhaitham's hand was shaking when he was about to unlock the door of his house. Why was he this nervous? He was just about to enter his house, why must he be nervous?
As he pushed open one of the double doors, Alhaitham could hear voices coming from one of the hallways. That's where he saw his wife crouching while holding their younger twin daughter's shoulder. It looked like she had just been crying, probably whining for something.
"Ah! Papa, Papa!"
Little Afiyah suddenly called out and pointed at something behind you, making you look over your shoulder. And that's where you saw him, the husband you were waiting for and the father Afiyah asked to read her a story book.
"Alhaitham..." You muttered, pausing before looking at your older twin daughter and ordered, "Take Afiyah back to your room, Aqilah. There's something I need to talk to your father about."
"Yes, Mother. Come on Afiyah."
"No, wait! Papa hasn't read the story book yet!"
Afiyah reluctantly returned to her room with a pout on her face. And now that the two of you are alone, you can let yourself loose.
"You're home awfully late. Afiyah kept asking where you were and when will you read her the story book earlier. Aqilah and I offered to read it for her, but she refused. She wanted you to read it..."
You paused as you took a deep breath before continuing, "You know how she is, right? Afiyah is attached to you. I understand that you worked to make us a living, but I still can't do this alone. I know deep down in your heart that you care and love them wholeheartedly. But... if this goes on..."
Alhaitham stayed silent. He knew at this point you were holding back your tears but you tried to stay strong.
'As expected from you, Y/n,' he thought.
"I know asking this might make me look selfish, but..."
"Did you, at least, care about me?"
Alhaitham was taken aback. His eyes were wide as he stared at you before shifting his gaze to the ground. With your clenched fist on your chest, you asked him again.
"Tell me, Alhaitham. What did I mean to you? Was I just someone who peaked your interest and decided to toy with?"
"Y/n... Iโ"
Alhaitham knew at this moment, you must be mocking him. Oh, so that's when you decided to open up.
"It's alright, Alhaitham. You don't need to explain yourself."
You walked away from your husband but you were not quite done with the conversation. With your back facing him, you took a deep breath and gripped the shawl over your shoulder.
"You gave me the impression that... you didn't care. You didn't care, Alhaitham... I do not wish that was my last impression of you..."
Your choked sobs made his heart ache. Alhaitham knew that this was just a dream but it felt so real. Is this just a trick made by his brain or is this really a message from you?
"So what was it that you cared about? Was it my knowledge of an unknown land and its language? Or was it my powers and origins that interested you? Answer me, Alhaitham!"
The Scribe didn't really know what to say. He was speechless. Because everything you said, was true.
"...You have nothing to say, have you? Huh, what was I expecting? You'll only view me as overly sensitive... Goodbye, Alhaitham..."
"Y/n! Wait!"
When Alhaitham tried to reach you a second time, again he failed. With your back turned to him, your image faded away along with the scenery around it. It was as if he was being pulled into a vortex of darkness.
And at that moment, the 'dream' ended.
"Ghah!"
Alhaitham's eyes snapped open as he instinctively sat up. He was covered in cold sweat, his heart pounding against his chest, and his ragged breathing. It wasn't an ordinary dream. It was a nightmare.
When Alhaitham looked around, he found himself back in the bedroom he once shared with you. He felt relieved, but also sad. He was saddened upon the fact that you were no longer with him.
Alhaitham knew that, he knew for the past fifteen years. Still, he couldn't help but be sadly reminded of this.
Whether he like it or not, Alhaitham dragged himself out of bed, got ready for the day and headed to the kitchen.
(Later)
"Eh? You're not going to have breakfast?"
Arriving at the kitchen, Alhaitham was greeted by his younger twin daughter. She offered him the breakfast she had prepared. He always ate the breakfast she made, but this day he refused it.
"No, I simply... lost my appetite," Alhaitham said.
"Oh... Then, do you want me to bring you lunch later?" Afiyah then asked.
"There's no need. I'll... eat out, later."
And just like that, Alhaitham left. Aqilah who had been silent all this time commented, "Father's acting strange today. Not only did he oversleep, he didn't eat the breakfast you made."
Afiyah sighed as she stare off into the distance, stopped washing the dishes and let the water from the faucet continue to run. Aqilah noticed her younger twin sister's behavior and went to take her sword.
"I'm heading out. I have a practice session with the General Mahamatra. So please don't bother bringing lunch for me later," she said.
Just as expected, Afiyah woke up from her reverie and immediately turned off the water faucet. "A-ah...! Right, noted!"
Students and scholars seem to have noticed the Scribe's behaving a little differently today. The way he seemed to pay no heed to their explanation, then asked to repeat it. The way his brain suddenly fogged up whenever he was given a task. The way he look... fatigued. It was very unusual of him.
Hearing the sound of the elevator approaching its destinated floor, Panah, a member of the Mahamata, came to greet the person who got on.
"Ah, Scribe Alhaitham! If you're here to bring something that the Grand Sage requested, just leave it to me. He's out visiting Aaru Village to see the educational development there."
"..."
"Umm... Scribe Alhaitham?"
Panah was confused about what to do with the silent Scribe. His gaze fell to the floor and the report he should have been holding was still in his hand. That was what Panah saw, but what exactly did Alhaitham feel?
Absolute hell. His vision was blurry. The world was spinning. His knees were giving away, as if he would fall to the floor at any moment. Alhaitham was trying hard not to faint in front of his colleagues, but it seemed he couldn't take it anymore.
Panah noticed the Scribe starting to lean forward, he quickly propped him up by holding him by his shoulders.
"Scribe Alhaitham? Are you alright? ...Your shoulder's warm. Did you come to work sick?"
Even Panah's words sounded muffled. It was overridden by the loud ringing in his ears.
What happened to Alhaitham next was a blur to him, because his world has gone black.
(On a path to Gandharva Ville)
A certain architect rushed to Gandharva Ville, hoping to quickly pass the word on to someone. "That darn brat! Stop making others worry about you!" he grumbled.
He picked up his pace and headed to a certain Forest Watcher's hut. As he entered, he found the person he was looking for.
"Afiyah!"
"Uncle Kaveh...?"
"What brings you here to Gandharva Ville, Kaveh? Don't tell me you had a fight with Alhaitham again and you're here to vent out your frustrations..."
"There's no time to explain. I'm here to pick up Afiyah and we must hurry back," Kaveh said as he grabbed Afiyah by her shoulders.
Poor Afiyah who was clearly confused by the situation innocently replied, "H-Huh? B-But, my study session is not over yet...?"
Tighnari who was fortunately keen of his student's feeling and situation, let go of Kaveh's grip on Afiyah. "Whoa, whoa! Take it easy, Kaveh. Now, I'm not about to let you take away my student without an explanation. So explain to me, what exactly happened?"
(A little while later)
"Alhaitham... collapsed at work?"
By the way Afiyah gasped, this sort of a thing has never happened before. Tighnari is also surprised by what Kaveh told him.
"Out of the four of us, I thought he'd be the one who would rarely pass out at work. It seems I was wrong," he said.
"'For now' they said, they brought him back home because the distance from the Akademiya to the Bimarstan was a bit far. Perhaps they will call a doctor to his house..."
With her hands clutching her skirt, Afiyah stood up from her spot and packed her things. "In that case, Master Tighnari, allow me to go home. I have to take care of Father."
"Hold on, Afiyah. I know you mean well but I won't let you go home empty handed. Wait a little longer, I'll go make some medicine. Would you be a dear and help me pick up the ingredients? I will consider it as a part of our lesson."
(That evening)
Aqilah and Cyno have just returned after a long day of practice. They walked to the Akademiya to drop Cyno off before Aqilah returned to her own home.
"You can drop me off here. There's no need to walk me all the way inside. I trust that you can go home alone just fine?" Cyno asked.
"You know that my house isn't far from here..."
As Aqilah was about to leave, a call of her master's title was heard.
"General Mahamatra!"
When she turned around, she saw a student rushing over, carrying a stack of papers. Aqilah stayed in place seeing how serious their conversation was. Even her master made a surprised face that she rarely saw.
Not long after, the student approached Aqilah. "Miss Aqilah, if you wouldn't mind, may I ask you to take these papers home and give them to your father?" he said.
"My father's working hours are clearly over, and yet you still want to give him work?"
"Umm, here's the thing, Miss... Aqilah. Your... Your father collapsed at work this morning. We took him back to his house andโ"
"He... what?"
Before he could finish his explanation, the student was interrupted by Aqilah who had disappeared. And what was left behind was the familiar but larger Chisel-Light Mirror teleportal, which soon disappeared.
Another Chisel-Light Mirror teleportal appeared in front of the Scribe's house, and his older twin daughter emerged from it. She stared at the building as her hair blows in the wind before entering.
"I'm home," she announced.
"Ah, welcome back. It's quite rare for you to come home this late. I've been stuck in here since this morning because that darn brat didn't take care of himself...! Wait, have you been made aware of the situation or do I need to tell you...?"
Her uncle Kaveh fidgeted as a way of apologizing in case she didn't know. The girl sighed and nodded to let him know she was aware.
"Where is Father? I need to have a word with him."
"He's resting in his room. But couldn't this wait until, you know, he's feeling a lot better?"
"Maybe it's better that he knows it now than being left clueless... You can go home, Uncle Kaveh."
The girl left her uncle in the living room as she headed to her father's room. She stood in front of his door for some time, taking a deep breath as she prepared herself mentally and opened the door.
There she saw her father sitting up in bed and her younger twin sister by his side.
"Ah, Aqilah! Welcome back."
The older twin who was greeted fell silent and drew closer to the bed. With a judgmental gaze, she looked down at her father already questioning how he got into a situation like this.
"I left the house for one day and suddenly someone got sick. I thought we all knew and did our part, but apparently someone just didn't get the memo."
Afiyah who felt that Aqilah was making the atmosphere in the room uncomfortable, immediately defended Alhaitham, "Please don't be too hard on Father, Aqilah. It's rare for him to get sick like this."
"I know, and I don't think a smart person like him would let himself get sick that easily. Huh, guess I was wrong..."
"Aqilah...!"
"It's alright, Afiyah... Your sister's reaction is understandable..." Alhaitham spoke up before the quarrel between his two daughters escalated. "Aqilah, you were right... I was careless, I should've taken better care of myself. I'm sorry..."
"I didn't come home so soon just to hear you apologizing. I wanted the truth. So tell me, Father. What happened?"
And what Aqilah heard next was a shocker to her. Afiyah watched as her older twin sister backed away, eyes widened, spewing hurtful words and outraged by what her father had said.
"Aqilah..."
Kaveh who oddly decided to stay instead of going home (despite complaining about it earlier), came to see what the commotion was all about.
"What's going on? I was just about to leave when I heardโ" He stopped when he saw his niece on the floor and joined her, "Aqilah...? What happened...?"
Kaveh looked at Aqilah with concern before looking at his former roommate Alhaitham, questioning what he had said.
No...
This can't be...
You must be kidding...
Please... Tell me this is a joke...
Tell me this is a lie...!
Why...?
Out of all people...?
Should you dream about...
Her...?
My mother...?
[Author's Note]: Since this series is coming to an end, I wanted to write a few extras/side stories before I write the last few chapters. I might put up a poll sooner or later, but for now leaving some suggestions here will do just fine :P

Synopsis: From an unacquainted grandparent, an abductor's ex-assistant, to the First Sage of Buer, the twins met various people on a fateful day.
Pairing: Alhaitham x Female! Reader
Genre: Angst & fluff
Note: Slight changes have been made to Alhaitham's banner as he has his own stickers now :)
The atmosphere at the Grand Bazaar is always hustling and bustling because of many people active there. Among them were Nilou and the Scribe's daughters, Aqilah and Afiyah.
On that day, they agreed to meet to shop for clothes with Nilou saying 'their clothes are unvaried'. Stopping at a stall, Nilou and Afiyah browsed through their options while Aqilah awkwardly stood on the sidelines.
"What do you think of this one, Afiyah?" Nilou asked.
"That's pretty. Aqilah, what about this one?"
"It suits you, Afiyah."
Nilou noticed the older twin who had pushed herself aside. She asked, "Aren't you going to look for some new clothes, Aqilah?"
"No thanks. I'm happy with the clothes I already have."
"Oh, do you want me to pick some out for you?"
"No."
"Do you want Afiyah to pick them out for you?"
"No thank you."
Nilou grumbled a bit, today should be the day they all have fun, not just the two of them. Suddenly an idea popped up in her mind.
"Now this, I'm finally happy with."
The three girls walked back to the Zubayr Theater stage with their goodies in hand. It was what Aqilah expected, but what she didn't expect was that she would also carry one herself.
"I can't believe you told the shop owner to pick out a outfit for me. I specifically told you that I'm happy with my own clothes and I didn't want to buy anything. The fact that you told her behind my back doesn't make it any better," she protested.
"Well, you didn't tell me not to ask the owner. So, that's on you. I played you at your own game. Plus, it never hurts to try on the clothes the shop owner chose," Nilou reasoned.
"..."
"...You're right. You got me there, well played."
Nilou smiled in victory as Afiyah giggled at the sight of her sister's sense of defeat. She saw several people moving crates into a shop, which seemed to be in full swing.
"Hey, looks like a new shop is opening. Do you want to check it out?" Nilou asked.
"No thanks. Besides, it looks like someone is already waiting for us."
They then saw a familiar figure waiting in front of the Zubayr Theater stage.
"Ah, there you are, my lovelies! I was looking for you two. Have you two finished shopping? I need you to come with me."
"Uncle Kaveh...! Good to see you again."
The younger twin ran over to the Palace of Alcazarzaray's architect and gave him a hug, with the Zubayr Theater dancer and her older twin sister following behind.
"Looking for us? Is it something urgent, Uncle Kaveh?" Aqilah questioned.
"Umm, I'll leave that to your judgement... Anyway, thereโs someone Iโd like you two to meet."
Aqilah and Afiyah looked at each other, wondering who were they meeting. Nilou quickly took note of the situation saying, "Well, I suppose this is the end of our shopping trip. It's nice to hang out with you again."
"Mm-hm! Thanks for accompanying us, Auntie Nilou."
Wait.
What...
What did Afiyah call Nilou just now?
Auntie. แดแดษดแดษชแด. ๐๐พ๐ท๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฎ. วฤฑสunโ
"..."
"...HโHow many times do I have to remind you two? Just call me Nilou, no need to add 'Aunt' or 'Auntie', just Nilou. Or you can also call me Miss Nilou like the others do," Nilou said, clearly flustered.
Aqilah has walked away as Afiyah smiled back at her before running to catch up with her. Kaveh left a message before leaving himself.
"We can't deny the fact that we're aging, Nilou. Enjoy it while it lasts."
Approaching the two story building, Aqilah and Afiyah still stared in awe even after visiting the architect's house several times. The wooden beams added a nice contrast to the white walls, complemented by gold accents, some red and greenery.
"Are these hanging planters a new addition? I don't remember seeing them on our last visit..." Afiyah wondered.
"Ah! Well spotted. Yes, they are new. I plan to put red flowers in them but the florist said they aren't available. Huh, what a pity..."
Kaveh led them into the living room, where they found a man observing objects the architect stored in a glass display cabinet.
"Is this a picture of your magnum opus, Kaveh? The Palace of Alcazarzaray?" he asked.
"Yes, sir. That's the one, the exact same one that caused me to be in debt..." Kaveh answered, his voice trailing off at the end of his sentence ending with a sigh.
"Ohohoho, it's alright, Kaveh. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Besides, look on the bright side. You managed to recover from your situation. I would be more embarrassed if I couldn't repay my debt within fifteen years."
"Ugh, I just love the way you think, Mr. Isamu. You are absolutely correct!"
Kaveh then realized that he's been ignoring the two girls he invited over, with Afiyah innocently blinking and Aqilah giving him the death stare.
"Uhh... Sorry about that, girls... Come, have a seat."
The twins sat across from the man believed to be Mr. Isamu, while Kaveh sat beside him.
"Aqilah, Afiyah, this is Mr. Isamu. He's a historian and importer from Liyue. He came to Sumeru for a visit and I offered him to stay at my house as a guest," he introduced.
Mr. Isamu smiled at them and they nodded back. He has a warm aura around him, which strangely made Aqilah and Afiyah comfortable even though he was a complete stranger.
"Ah! How foolish of me, I have guests! Excuse me, Mr. Isamu. I'll go make some tea. You guys talk in the meantime," Kaveh said, excusing himself.
After he left, the atmosphere in the room was silent and very awkward. Aqilah and Afiyah were confused on what to talk about with Mr. Isamu.
'A historian from Liyue...' they both thought at the same time.
"Aqilah... and... Afiyah, was it?"
"YโYes, sir..." Aqilah stammered.
"Now, now, you don't need to be so formal. Tell me, do you have an idea of โโwho I really am?" he said.
"We do... But, we try not to get our hopes up..." Afiyah took turns answering.
"Well, how about I tell you this to confirm your preconceptions?"
All their attention was focused on Mr. Isamu. They prepared themselves to hear his answer. Seeing the movement of his lips and hearing his voice, their eyes were slightly widened and their mouths slightly gaping.
"I am your grandfather."
"Come on, Grandpa! Come on!"
After their meeting and their conversation at the Palace of Alcazarzaray's architect's house, they headed to the Sanctuary of Surasthana to meet Nahida. As they made their way up the steep path, Afiyah excitedly ran while Aqilah and Mr. Isamu walked.
"Slow down, Afiyah. You know that Grandfather wasn't as fit as he was when he was younger," Aqilah said.
"It's alright, Aqilah. Let her be, let her enjoy her youth. You too, enjoy your youth."
"Yes, Grandfather."
They went to the Sanctuary of Surasthana to discuss more about Zaleos and the Isles of Etsumi, since all the knowledge is kept with Mr. Isamu.
(Flashback)
"So you've met the God of Wisdom in person?"
Afiyah smiled at her sister before looking back at her grandfather, keeping the smile on her face.
"That's true," Aqilah said.
"We've been having weekly study sessions with her, researching and discussing our theories on Zaleos and the Isles of Etsumi," Afiyah added.
"Since now you're here, would you like to go meet her?"
(Flashback ends)
Standing before the large door, Afiyah was about enter as per usual. But her way was blocked by her sister's outstretched arm.
"Halt. She has guests over. We shouldn't just enter at will," Aqilah said.
"Then, what should we do? Grandpa is here already, we can't just turn around."
"It's alright, you two. My time in Sumeru is still long, we can come back tomorrow. Come on."
Aqilah and Afiyah looked at each other, unsure of what to do. They were about to reluctantly leave the Sanctuary of Surasthana, when all of a sudden a voice popped into their head.
"I can hear your voices from behind the door. Come on in."
They both turned around, the younger twin slightly more excited than the older twin. Mr. Isamu seemed a little confused by the voice that also appeared in his head.
"Did... Did you two hear that? Was that...?"
"Mm-hm, that's her. Let's go."
(Inside the Sanctuary of Surasthana)
"Excuse us!"
Afiyah leisurely walked into the Sanctuary of Surasthana with Aqilah and Mr. Isamu following behind. Reaching the center, they saw that Nahida was with two other people.
"Hello, you two. Is it time for our study session?" she asked.
"We're not here for that, Nahida," Aqilah said.
The Dendro Archon wondered what the Scribe's older twin daughter meant, until she looked at the person behind them.
"Oh! You must be their grandfather. It's nice to finally meet you! I hope you don't mind me borrowing your scroll and dictionary their father had gifted me."
"Not at all, Lesser Lord Kusanali...! As long as I can share knowledge with others, I don't mind."
"Please, just call me Nahida. What should I call you?"
"You can call me Isamu, m'lady."
Aqilah and Afiyah felt like they were a third wheel seeing their grandfather's closeness with the Dendro Archon, even though they had just met. So did the two people who spoke to Nahida earlier.
Come to think of it, why did they seem so familiar? Blonde hair, fiery-gold eyes, and a white haired floating companion... Where had the twins heard of them? Hmm...
"Oh! I almost forgot about it! I forgot to introduce you to each other. Aqilah, Afiyah, this is the Traveler and Paimon. They were one of the people who saved me from the Sages," Nahida said.
"I thought so. Nice to meet you," said Aqilah briefly.
On the other hand, Afiyah had more to say, "It's nice to finally meet you. I want to thank you so much for saving Nahida from the previous Sages. It means a lot to us and the people of Sumeru."
"OโOh...! YโYou're welcome...! It's been a while since Paimon hear something like this..." the floating companion said.
Afiyah giggled at the Traveler's cute floating friend. The First Sage of Buer seemed preoccupied with their thoughts, feeling a sense of familiarity with the two girls. They were sure that they had never met them, but still why?
"Traveler."
A voice suddenly popped into the Traveler's head, causing them to look at the owner herself, Nahida.
"I know what you're thinking. Do you want me to give you an answer to your curiosity?"
The Traveler nodded. "Please do," they said.
"Hehe, alright then. Just so you know, they are Alhaitham's daughters."
The Traveler's eyes widened, and this didn't go unnoticed by the older twin.
"You told them something didn't you, Nahida?" Aqilah asked.
"Hehe, I don't know. May~be," teased the Dendro Archon.
"Huh? Were you two having a secret conversation just now? Ugh, how many times has Paimon told you? Let her in on it!"
Nahida laughed as the Traveler apologized and whispered something to their floating companion's ear.
"Wait! So you're saying... that they're Alhaitham'sโ"
The Traveler quickly covered Paimon's mouth with their hand, but it seemed that their efforts were too late.
"If that's what you call whispering, you've done such a terrible job at it," Aqilah said.
"Oh, um... Yeah, Paimon's been told that..."
Suddenly, a sense of familiarity clicked in Paimon's mind.
'Huh? Wait... Why does Paimon feel like she had this conversation before?'
Paimon then recalled the time when they had been invited to Alhaitham's house.
(Flashback)
"You...! You don't understand anything! Stop criticizing my taste in decoration!"
Kaveh walked away after another bickering session with Alhaitham. He seemed rather upset as he seclude himself in a room, completely forgetting about the painting he was trying to put up.
'Kaveh seems to be upset again...' thought the Traveler.
"Paimon can't tell which of them is more problematic... Let's just get this over with and leave..."
"I blame your curiosity, Paimon..."
Alhaitham who heard Paimon's words didn't hesitate to comment, "You whisper very loudly."
"Oh, um... Yeah, Paimon's been told that..."
(Flashback ends)
'Huh, so it's true! They really are similar to each other,' Paimon concluded.
"Wait, so you know our father?" Afiyah asked.
"Of course they do! Now that everyone's familiar with each other, how about you all go out and have a chat? Me and Mr. Isamu have something to discuss."
(Outside the Sanctuary of Surasthana)
"How did you come to know of my father?"
"Huh?"
The Traveler and Paimon were a little dumbfounded by the older twin's question, given she was not one to talk.
"How did you first meet my father? What was the first impression you got from him?" Aqilah asked again.
"Well at first, Paimon thought he was a pretty smart guy. But over time, he's even more annoying than Paimon thought! Paimon even wondered how someone like him could become an Acting Grand Sage at that time..."
"Hah, I've heard of that crazy story," Aqilah said.
"So how did it go?" Afiyah took turns asking.
The Traveler recounted everything they experienced during the time Alhaitham became the Acting Grand Sage. At the climax of the story, Afiyah started tearing up towards the end.
"So, all of that... was done because they wanted to get rid of Father...? In what way? By what means...? What did Father do to deserve this...?"
The Traveler and Paimon were stunned to see the Scribe's younger daughter shedding tears. Aqilah took out her handkerchief from her pocket and gave it to Afiyah, who murmured a soft 'thank you' to her sister.
"Sorry... Afiyah gets sensitive whenever we talked about our father, especially with things like this. Though I'm not the most fond of him, at least this is the only thing I can be proud of," Aqilah said.
The Traveler and Paimon could only stare at each other. Their relationship must be very... complicated.
Not long after, Mr. Isamu came out of the Sanctuary of Surasthana.
"Well that was an insightful discussion. Aโ Oh... What happened? Why is Afiyah crying? Did you talk about something sad just now?"
They were silent, unsure of what to say. Mr. Isamu put his hands on his granddaughter's shoulders and said, "It's alright, Afiyah. It's completely alright to cry over something, you are human after all. Humans have emotions and even though I don't know what you guys are talking about, you have every right to do so."
Afiyah began to calm down, wiping away the remaining tears and smiling after hearing her grandfather's comforting words.
"Now then, how about we take a look at the new shop I opened?"
"Wait, this must be the shop Auntie Nilou was talking about earlier."
Aqilah, Afiyah, the Traveler, Paimon and Mr. Isamu were in front of a new shop situated in the Grand Bazaar. The shop's foreign name caught the Traveler and Paimon's attention.
"Etsumian Goods... Doesn't sound like anything familiar in Paimon's head. We've been to many places in Teyvat like Dragonspine, the Golden Apple Archipelago, the Chasm, heck even Enkanomiya and yet this name feels so foreign. Mr. Isamu, is this a new shop or do you have other branches with the same name?" Paimon said.
"I'm glad you asked, Paimon. You see, the Isles of Etsumi's biggest export are its gemstones. Our gemstones are in high demand among people across Teyvat, but are more often sold by shops not affiliated with the Isles of Etsumi. This is our first independently run shop. Now, there is one thing you need to know about gemstones from the Isles of Etsumi that set them apart from other gems. Unlike other gemstones in general, where you know the type the moment you mine it, the Isles of Etsumi's gemstones takes time to develop the color. Give it a few days and its milky white base will turn to the most stunning of colors," Mr. Isamu explained.
Suddenly, he decided to add an interesting story to his explanation, "As a matter of fact, that bracelet you are wearing, Aqilah, is made of precious stones from the Isles of Etsumi. I remember commissioning a jeweler from there as your mother's birthday present. Seeing its condition, it seems that your mother rarely wears it and keeps it well for other purposes."
Aqilah's eyes widened hearing her grandfather's words. Her attention was immediately drawn to the jewelery on her wrist.
"Is that true, Grandfather? This bracelet... belonged to my mother?"
"Of course, I remember it all too well. It was a gift for her eleventh birthday but I commissioned it when your mother was younger," said Mr. Isamu.
Unknowingly, Aqilah's hand came closer to her chest while she caressed the gem on the bracelet as if it was the dearest thing she own. Meanwhile, Afiyah's mind is still stuck on the mysterious color changing of the Isles of Etsumi gemstones.
"Grandpa, how is it possible?" Afiyah asked out of curiosity.
"I'm not entirely sure. It has always been that way since the moment we discovered it. Some say that it is the result of Zaleos' powers when she created the islands. I can't give you an exact answer, Afiyah."
The Traveler and Paimon who had been listening to their conversation from the start were confused by another new name that was brought up, the Isles of Etsumi.
"The Isles of Etsumi?! We've been all over Teyvat but we just heard about this place. Where is it located? Paimon can't believe we missed this place!" Paimon said.
"Well, it's only natural if you miss the Isles of Etsumi. Because, it doesn't exist on the general map of Teyvat. Only maps made by the people there suggest its existence."
"It what?! Does this mean that even Alice doesn't know of the Isles of Etsumi? Ugh, Paimon's running out of brain juice... Quick, Traveler! Paimon needs something really tasty to restore her brain juice!"
"Haha, don't worry Paimon. There's must something in our shop that can help you with that. Come on in."
(Inside the shop)
Paimon's eyes roamed around, in search of something edible to eat. There were gemstones everywhere, in all sorts of colors. Paimon was about to give up until she settled on a part of the shop.
"Ooh! Paimon like the looks of these! Oh wait... umm, are these edible?"
Mr. Isamu caught up with the floating companion to see what she had found, the candy display.
"Of course they are. Our kohakutou and rock candy may look like crystals, but they are perfectly edible. Would you like some tea to accompany your sweets?"
Suddenly, a shop worker approached Mr. Isamu. "Yourโ Ehem, Mr. Isamu. I don't mean to be rude but, who are these people?" he asked.
"They are special customers. Please, whatever they choose, it will be free of charge. I will compensate for the loss."
Elsewhere in the shop, the Traveler and Afiyah looked at the supposedly 'color changing' gemstones. They are wrapped up with parchment paper and placed in wooden crates.
"Are you interested in our 'mystery' stones, Traveler? You can choose whatever you like and we will wrap it up for you."
The Traveler was startled by Mr. Isamu's sudden appearance. "I'm just having a look," they said.
Paimon came over with her goodies, she looked so happy she could probably eat all of them in one sitting.
"Hey! Are you done yet? Paimon's got all her goodies and Paimon can't wait to eat them! Also, there should be enough for you and your sibling."
"Oh right! You have a sibling, don't you? Then here," Mr. Isamu paused as he picked two random 'mystery' stones and gave them to the Traveler, "Have these. And don't worry, they're on the house."
After saying goodbye and seeing the Traveler off, Aqilah, Afiyah and Mr. Isamu went for a walk on the streets of Sumeru City. Afiyah and Mr. Isamu walked in front with Aqilah trailing behind. She seemed a bit preoccupied with her thoughts as Aqilah continued to hold the bracelet on her wrist.
Afiyah seemed to notice that her sister was slowly getting left behind.
"Aqilah? Is everything alright?" she asked as she turned around.
Afiyah's questioning snapped Aqilah out of whatever she was feeling/thinking.
"...Yes, of course. Don't mind me, I'm fine."
"...If you say so."
Afiyah turned around and continued walking with Mr. Isamu. But soon, she heard a loud crash that made her turn around again. Along with the sound, Afiyah realized Aqilah's disappearance.
"Aqilah?" she called out. "Where did she go?"
"The sound came from over there. Let's go find her," Mr. Isamu said.
The two of them went around Sumeru City before finding Aqilah behind a building, tackling a middle-aged woman.
(Later, at Puspa Cafรฉ)
Aqilah, Afiyah, Mr. Isamu and the women sat down at a table outside of Puspa Cafรฉ. Mr. Isamu drank his coffee, Afiyah looked worriedly at Aqilah, while she stared intently at the woman who was silent.
"So you're not going to talk, are you? Don't you realize that you're making things more difficult for yourself? Speak up, or we're going to have some problems," the older twin spoke with venom in her voice.
Mr. Isamu was about to tell Aqilah to go easy on the women, but Afiyah held him back. She knew when her sister was angry, she was really angry.
Aqilah scoffed when the woman remained silent. She slammed her hands on the table, shocking those around her.
"Let me get this straight: You think it's normal for a stranger to follow two sisters and their grandfather around Sumeru City? Well you are gravely mistaken. You better give us an explanation, because you have no right to remain silent."
The atmosphere was tense, but it wasn't long before the woman finally spoke up.
"We aren't exactly strangers. I know you, to some extent," she said.
Her words shocked the three of them, however Aqilah was more amused.
"Oh? How so?"
"..."
"...I don't know if this will ring a bell. But just so you know, my name is Najwa."
Hearing that name suddenly made Aqilah's head spin. As she held her head, Aqilah thought back to the time she visited the Bimarstan.
(Flashback)
Aqilah came to the Bimarstan after getting an invitation from Golshan. They sat outside to talk over tea.
"Why did you ask me to come here, Aunt Golshan? You know I'm too old for my usual medical check-up."
"You're right. You are too old for such things. Sorry, I just wanted to see you. So how are you?"
(A little while later)
"Aunt Golshan. I know you've told the story of my mother's death several times, but there's something that intrigues me. Is there something you haven't told me?"
Aqilah's question made Golshan speechless as she put down her tea cup. After a moment of contemplation, Golshan couldn't help but have to tell it.
"Everything I've told you before has something to do with you, so what I'm going to tell you is a little personal to me. Back when I was an intern doctor, I had a senior named Najwa. She is truly the most wonderful and smartest person I have ever met, and I look up to her. Until, she decided to leave Sumeru. I didn't know for what reason at first, but after finding out during the kidnapping incident of your mother, I felt betrayed. It turns out that all this time, she has been working with..."
(Flashback ends)
"You... You're the one that Aunt Golshan told me about... You were the one that helped that psycho of a Fatui Harbinger... You are one of the reasons why my sister and I can't meet our mother...!"
Aqilah had risen from her seat and Afiyah went to comfort her, with tears flowing and emotions uncontrollable. Mr. Isamu, who had been silent and listening all along, had connected the dots.
"So, your mother... isn't here anymore, is she? Turns out I was right," he said.
Afiyah, who was on the floor with Aqilah, looked up at her grandfather.
"So, Grandpa, you knew all along?" she asked.
"I had a hunch, but I needed something to confirm it. I noticed your mother's lack of presence. No wonder Aqilah was talking in past tense earlier..."
Aqilah, now calmer, wiped away her tears and had something to say, "We can take you to her grave later. But for now, we must deal with this woman."
"..."
"I came here to apologize but I don't know how to approach you. I understand that a simple apology won't forgive the sins I have committed, but at least I have tried. I did what he said because I was scared. I was afraid he would harm my family. He has helped me and my family in the past, and the least I could do to repay him was to work for him. I knew it was wrong, but I've never felt more guilty when I heard about your mother's death."
(A flashback that's written from Najwa's POV)
I had told Lord Dottore that I would be staying in Sumeru for a few days to visit my family, with the agreement that I 'should be back soon'. He has left Sumeru to return to the motherland accompanied by several Fatui soldiers.
Was I so convincing that he agreed to let me stay here a little longer? Well, I am not lying either since I stayed at my family's house, but it was a lot shorter.
As I was walking on the streets of Sumeru City wearing my long cloak, I quickly hid behind a building when I heard a crowd of people coming. When I took a peek to see what was going on, there seemed to be a funeral procession.
'Huh, it's just a funeral procession,' I thought.
That's the first thing I thought, I thought it was just a normal one. But I was so wrong. The General Mahamatra also attended the funeral, and another thing...
'It's that guy...! I made eye contact with him when escaping from Lord Dottore's secret laboratory.'
(Flashback and Najwa's POV ends)
"How could I ever forget those distinct gray hair and striking light turquoise eyes? They were so soulless that day, constantly reminding me of the sins I had committed. Not only have I helped take someone's life, but also taken someone who is loved by others."
The three bereaved fell silent, allowing the woman to continue speaking.
"So, I... I deeply apologize for the loss. I won't expect that you will forgive me but I will do anything to get your forgiveness. Whether it's punishment, money or even my life I willโ"
"Enough."
Afiyah, Mr. Isamu and Najwa were a little surprised by Aqilah's interruption. She sat back in her chair and propped her head up.
"Killing you will not bring my mother back. It's useless," she said.
The three of them fell silent. Aqilah was right, it is indeed useless.
"However, there is one thing you can do to earn my forgiveness."
"What is it? Please, tell me! Like I said, I would do anything!"
It was Aqilah's turn to be silent, and this made Afiyah and Mr. Isamu worried. They didn't know what punishment Aqilah would give, and how brutal it would be. When she was about to give her final answer, they were nervous.
"Keep living, and do good. If I catch you doing otherwise, I will not hesitate to kill you."
They were stunned once again, but also proud and relieved. Najwa was even moved to tears.
"Oh, thank goodness... Don't worry, Aqilah. I swear with my life to keep your promise."

๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐๐๐ #3
"Did you, at least, care about me?"
[_____] was taken aback. His eyes were wide as he stared at you before shifting his gaze to the ground. With your clenched fist on your chest, you asked him again.
"Tell me, [_____]. What did I mean to you? Was I just someone who peaked your interest and decided to toy with?"
"Y/n... Iโ"
"It's alright, [_____]. You don't need to explain yourself."
You walked away from your husband but you were not quite done with the conversation. With your back facing him, you took a deep breath and gripped the shawl over your shoulder.
"You gave me the impression that... you didn't care. You didn't care, [_____]..."
Your choked sobs made his heart ache. [_____] knew that this was just a dream but it felt so real. Is this just a trick made by his brain or is this really a message from you?
"So what was it that you cared about? Was it my knowledge of an unknown land and its language? Or was it my powers and origins that interested you? Answer me, [_____]!"
[_____] didn't really know what to say. He was speechless. Because everything you said, was true.
"...You have nothing to say, have you? Huh, what was I expecting? You'll only view me as overly sensitive... I do not wish that was my last impression of you, that you didn't care... Goodbye, [_____]..."
"Y/n! Wait!"
If you were to guess who this is for, keep in mind that the amount of "_" in the brackets doesn't represent the amount of letters in the character's name. I'm just putting them there so you could fill in the blanks :)
Enjoy this little WIP Snippet ;)

Synopsis: Fifteen years have passed and now the Scribe's twin daughters have grown up. Although twins, they have very different goals. The younger twin, Afiyah, was interested in pharmacy and her determination to heal people. Meanwhile the older twin, Aqilah, was only focused on getting stronger and wants nothing to do with her father.
Pairing: Alhaitham x Female! Reader
Genre: Angst & fluff
Note: I have also made canon character designs for Aqilah and Afiyah so if you are curious to see them, please do let me know :)
It's been fifteen years since the day you passed, and many things have changed in Sumeru. For the better I assure you. But the question is, what has changed? And what influence did that time have on Sumeru?
Well, for starters, a new Grand Sage must have been selected within the fifteen year span. Fortunately during his governing, Sumeru experienced significant developments. Businesses owned by the elders are now being passed down to their children or grandchildren. And in fact, the Palace of Alcazarzaray's architect now has a place of his own!
Despite all the good things that have happened in the space of fifteen years, time hasn't been kind to Alhaitham. The difficulty of juggling personal and work-related responsibilities has been hard, but it's fortunate that he has his friends to help him out.
Alhaitham remembered all the sleepless nights he and Kaveh had when his twin daughters cried as they tried to sleep. He remembered the time he had trouble trying to feed them, especially his older daughter. To the extent that he needed to call in reinforcements (aka Kaveh, which she oddly favored).
Speaking of his daughters, we haven't even caught their names yet. One thing you should know about them is that even though they are twins, they are very different from one another.
Let's start with the younger twin, Afiyah. Her personality is not at all the same as yours or his, rather she is a sweet, kind and very caring person. Afiyah inherited her father's gray hair and also your (eye color) eyes, the same eyes her Uncle Kaveh adored. From an early age, Afiyah was interested in becoming a 'doctor', she said. But after having a better understanding of her words, what Afiyah meant was pharmacist.
"I know my limits, I'm not a person fit to lead. But with my knowledge of medicine and herbs combined with that of a doctor, I believe we can heal many people together. We don't know when a dangerous illness like Eleazar will return, so I will do my best to prevent it!"
Meanwhile, the older twin, Aqilah, looks exactly like Alhaitham. Some say she is a carbon copy of her father. Personality-wise, not so much. Sure there may be some similarities, but Aqilah does not want to be associated with him surely for some apparent reason.
"..."
"...I have my own reasons for resenting my father, and I prefer not to talk about it. That is all."
Aqilah doesn't hate her sister however. She swore to protect her 'since her father was too busy to protect them by himself and neglected them' she once said. Thus, she's used to living an independent life from an early age.
It was really early in the morning. The sun hasn't come out and yet Alhaitham was already awake. He already wore his usual attire and was getting ready to go out.
Before leaving the house, Alhaitham quietly opened the twins' bedroom door to see them still sound asleep. As a farewell, he went to kiss the forehead of his two daughters. Afiyah smiled feeling the touch of her father's affection, meanwhile Aqilah seemed to feel disgusted as her eyebrow twitched.
With that, Alhaitham left to a place that he and a few others knew about. Heading south-west from the Akademiya, across the vine bridge made of the Divine Tree's roots and under a shady tree, stood a beautiful marble gravestone with your name engraved on it. Your resting place was the contribution of many people, even though some you've never met.
At first, Kaveh insisted he would build 'the most beautiful and majestic mausoleum' for you. But given his financial problems at the time, he opted to make your gravestone out of marble instead. The small island you rest on used to be inhabited by enemies like Hilichurls, Eremites and Fungi. But with the power of the Dendro Archon and several Aranara, they were able to drive the enemies away.
Others like Nilou, Dehya, Dunyarzad and Cyno have visited your grave from time to time and left flowers for you. Even people like Tighnari and Collei have visited because of Kaveh's invitation. They too have their own contributions. As the twins grew, it was Nilou who helped buy clothes for them. After learning about Aqilah's determination to practice swordsmanship, Cyno and Dehya offered to teach her. And when Afiyah came to Gandharva Ville to study botany, Tighnari didn't turn her down.
Placing down the flowers he picked from around the city, Alhaitham kneeled down and caressed the smooth marble gravestone. Tears started to form in his eyes as he was constantly reminded by the name engraved on it every time he read it. Alhaitham maintained most of his composure, but still a few tears managed to escape from his watering eyes.
"It's... It's been a while since my last visit, hasn't it? *sigh* Apologies... I've been busy carrying out the orders of the new Grand Sage recently. I can tell... it's for the better. For Sumeru and for the lives of our two daughters. I will keep trying to be a good father for them. I promise."
As Alhaitham continued to talk to you, or rather, talking to himself, the sun began to rise. He knew it was time to take his leave. Alhaitham kissed your gravestone goodbye before walking away, looking back and leaving with a heavy heart.
The people of Sumeru began to follow the activities that the Scribe had already done. Getting ready for their morning activities, whether it's sweeping the streets, rushing to the Citadel of Regzar for their morning gathering, or opening their shop. And a certain general goods shop owner was doing just that.
Sumeru General Goods, a shop previously owned by Hamawi, has now been passed down to his second son. His eldest son Sal owned a shop in Port Ormos and his youngest son Jut continued to be a spice merchant. His second son Mawyo was sweeping the front of his shop when the Scribe came up to him.
"O-oh, Scribe Alhaitham...! Just a moment, let me clean this up first," Mawyo said.
"Take your time. I'm in no rush myself."
Mawyo put the broom back in its place and hurried back. "So, what can I get for you?" he asked.
"Just some groceries for breakfast. My daughter usually cooks breakfast so I don't know what ingredients she wants."
"Alright, let's see..."
Just as Mawyo thought the Scribe's request was a little difficult and confusing, his savior came to his aid.
"Need me to take over, Mawyo?"
"Halima...! I... *sigh* I need your help..."
Halimah is Mawyo's wife. And just like her name, she's forebearing, gentle, mild-mannered and generous.
"Honestly, you're nothing without me. But listen to me Mawyo, you can't depend on other people forever. You should at least start being independent. What? Twenty years into the future and you still depend on Sal, me and Jut?" Halima advised.
"Of course not. I'm trying, okay? But please, just this one time?" Mawyo begged.
"Alright... Just because I love you..."
Mawyo kissed his wife on the cheek before going somewhere. Of course, Alhaitham witnessed their loving and affectionate interactions. Something that he can't give you much. Halima knows that Mawyo is not the perfect husband, but she still loves him because he is trying to be better. But himself? Hah, there's not a single effort he's made to make himself better.
Alhaitham was snapped back to reality when Halima asked him a question. "So, what was it that my husband can't fulfill?"
"I asked him to choose some groceries that were enough for breakfast. I don't know what to buy since my daughter does the cooking," he explained.
"I see. That's completely understandable. Please wait a moment sir, I will pick out your groceries."
(itty-bitty tiny time skip brought to you by the author :P)
"I have given a number of options for your daughter to cook later. And that would be a total of 5720 Mora, sir."
Halima placed the basket of groceries on the shop counter and Alhaitham handed her a pouch of Mora. After exchanging their thank yous and goodbyes, he headed to his second destination, Puspa Cafรฉ.
"Hello, welcome to Puspa Cafรฉ. Would you like to start with a cup of coffee to keep you energized all day?"
Enteka, now the manager of Puspa Cafรฉ, greeted the Scribe when he entered.
"No, thank you. I'll just have two Rose Custard to go," Alhaitham said.
"Will that be all, sir?"
"Yes, that's all."
"Alright, that'll be 5000 Mora, sir. Let me get your order from the back."
Alhaitham placed another pouch of Mora on the counter as Enteka took two Rose Custard from the back.
"Our Rose Custards are contained in reusable gold cups, which is why they are a bit pricey. Thank you for your purchase. Take care, hope to see you again."
"I'm back..."
When Alhaitham entered the house, he saw his younger daughter Afiyah sitting on one of the living room wooden sofas, clearly still sleepy.
"Hm? Oh... Welcome back, Father. Did you go out to buy groceries? You shouldn't have..." she said.
Like a cat awakening from its sleep, Afiyah stretched and yawned before taking the basket of groceries from her father. She looked over the selection of ingredients he could use to cook breakfast.
"Where's Aqilah? Is she still asleep?" Alhaitham asked.
"Mm-hm, she must be exhausted since she came home late last night... I'll start cooking breakfast, she'll eventually wake up."
(Later)
"Shit shit shit shit shit...!"
Aqilah cursed as she came rushing into the kitchen, stopping when she saw Afiyah smiling at her. Alhaitham was also there reading documents from Akademiya, but his older daughter ignored him, as if he never existed.
"Good morning, Aqilah. Come, sit down. I've cooked breakfast for you."
"I don't have time for breakfast. I'm already late for my sword training session."
Afiyah looked at her older twin sister who was putting on her stockings and knee high boots. She was concerned, and she had every right to be. Skipping breakfast isn't good...
"Do you have to go? I mean, you've been really busy lately. Are you sure you don't want to take a break?" Afiyah asked.
"I have promised the General Mahamatra that I will come to practice when he is free. I can't just show up or be absent as I please. I understand your concern but what I do is for the best."
"..."
Aqilah rose from her seat and threw her green cape over her shoulders. She was just about to take her Xiphos' Moonlight sword and leave, but was stopped because of something Afiyah said.
"At least bring one Rose Custard and some Zaytun Peaches to eat on your way there. I don't want you to leave on an empty stomach."
Aqilah looked back before sighing and walking back to get her Rose Custard and some Zaytun Peaches.
"Are you happy now?" she asked.
"Mm-hm, very happy. Now go. Oh, and be careful on the way there."
"Hm, will do."
Aqilah smiled at her sister before taking her sword and leaving the house. Subconsciously, Alhaitham and Afiyah sighed almost at the same time after Aqilah left.
"Aqilah's ignoring Father again..." Afiyah mumbled.
(Meanwhile, outside)
Aqilah ate one of the Zaytun Peaches she brought while walking to the city gate. When she got there, she saw someone who seemed to be waiting for her.
"Uncle Rahman? What are you doing here?"
"There you are, kiddo. For a moment I thought you wouldn't show up."
"You didn't answer my question. What are you doing here?" Aqilah emphasized her question.
"Well, I heard that the General Mahamatra agreed to train the Scribe's daughter in his spare time. And coincidentally today's the day. So I came here to pick you up," he said.
"Pick me up? What, to make sure that I wouldn't run off and miss my training session?"
"Of course not, I wouldn't think of you that way. Come on, kiddo. We don't want you to be late."
Afiyah returned to Sumeru City before lunch time after her study session with Tighnari in Gandharva Ville. She intended to go to Aaru Village to catch up with Aqilah, after she was done with something.
Afiyah returned home and packed two lunch boxes, one bigger than the other. She headed to her next destination, the Akademiya.
(time skip brought to you by le author :v)
Entering the Akademiya, Afiyah looked around hoping to find her father among the sea of โโstudents and scholars talking in the main hall. But he was nowhere to be seen. Maybe he's just busy...
An Amurta scholar noticed Afiyah's presence, decided to approach her.
"Excuse me, are you Miss Afiyah? Scribe Alhaitham's daughter? Is there anything I can help you with?"
Afiyah turned to face the scholar and simply nodded. "I was wondering where my father was. Can you take me to his office?"
"Of course! Right this way, my lady."
As the scholar led Afiyah through the halls of the Akademiya, she was met with stares and glances from other students and scholars. Some were even whispering about her. But she paid little attention to their doing.
"Here we are, Miss Afiyah. The Scribe's office."
They both arrived in front of Alhaitham's office. When Afiyah was about to knock on the door, the scholar stopped her and put his ear to the door.
"It sounds like Scribe Alhaitham's talking to someone," said the scholar.
"Oh... Should I have come at a better time?" Afiyah asked, her tone of disappointment obviously there.
"Oh no, it's alright Miss Afiyah! I'm sure your father could spare some time for his daughter."
The scholar's words somehow managed to put a smile on Afiyah's face. His words were really reassuring and... comforting.
"Your words really comfort me. Thank you... How should I thank you? You never really gave me your name."
"..."
"It's Geoff, Miss Afiyah."
"Thank you, Geoff. You can go now."
Geoff left Afiyah alone at the office door, taking a deep breath in preparation of meeting her father. She raised her hand hesitantly, and knocked on the door.
"You may enter."
When Afiyah opened the office door, Alhaitham looked surprised to see his younger daughter.
"Afiyah? What brings you here to my office?" he asked.
"Well, I... I made you luโ"
"Why, if it isn't the Scribe's daughter Afiyah herself! It seems you've grown since the last time I saw you, haha," said the man who was talking to Alhaitham. He went to pet Afiyah's head and said something before leaving.
"We can continue this conversation later, Scribe Alhaitham. Enjoy your time with your daughter."
That left only Afiyah and Alhaitham in the office. The Scribe cleared his throat before repeating his question.
"Apologies for the slight intrusion, let me repeat my question. What brings you to my office, Afiyah?"
"I made you lunch," she answered with a smile.
Alhaitham's eyes widened slightly. "You really don't need to, Afiyah. I could go out and stop by Puspa Cafรฉ or Lambad's Tavern for my lunch."
"Well, I just feel like it."
Afiyah put the small wooden lunch box on her father's desk, still carrying the bigger one. Alhaitham opened the lid of his lunch box, revealing two Pita Pockets and an Aranara-style Selva Salad. Just the thought of his younger daughter's consideration into making him lunch made Alhaitham smile.
"Are you planning to go somewhere after this? I see you still have one more lunch box, a larger one in fact," he said.
Afiyah hesitates to answer her father's question, but like it or not she has to tell her true intentions.
"...I plan to go after Aqilah to Aaru Village."
!!!
"...And you plan to go there alone?"
"I mean, there's no one else to accompany me... So yes, I have to go there alone."
Alhaitham was silent, a worried expression was evident on his face. The problem is, Afiyah is unlike Aqilah. Aqilah can go anywhere alone just fine, meanwhile in Afiyah's case... hmm. Alhaitham allowed her to go to Gandharva Ville just because it was close. But a trip to Aaru Village? That's out of the question.
"I will send a few Corps of Thirty mercenaries to escort you there," he stated.
"You don't have to take it too far, Father. I can take care of myself, I also have Zaleos' power to protect me."
Ah, there it is. The "Zaleos' power" card that he was a bit irritated with. Not only have you inherited the power, but your two daughters as well. Afiyah pursues the mastery of Zaleos' powers, while Aqilah has her Vision.
Alhaitham clenched his fists under his desk, contemplating whether he should prevent Afiyah from going or let her go.
"...This is a tough and difficult choice for me, but I think I will let you go. I would be more relieved if you accompanied by someone though."
"Thank you very much, Father! I should get going now, I don't want to keep Aqilah waiting."
Afiyah turned around and left her father's office, leaving Alhaitham to sigh alone.
(On Treasures Street)
Afiyah was heading towards the southern city gate when she saw a certain mercenary she knew very well.
"Aunt Dehya, you have returned from your trip?"
The Eremite mercenary who goes by the name Flame-Mane turned around, now facing the Azure Starlight.
"Hey, look who it is! How are ya doing, kid? Yeah, my lady got a little too excited and tire herself out from the trip. So we decided to return to Sumeru," Dehya explained.
"Hehe, oh Miss Dunyarzad... Did you bring any souvenirs?"
"Were you hoping to get some? I'll see what I can make of our shopping pile," Dehya said before pausing when she saw the wooden lunch box that Afiyah brought, "Say, are ya going somewhere?"
"Oh, I'm going to Aaru Village to catch up with Aqilah."
"Dang, you're going there alone? What was Alhaitham thinking letting you go alone?" Dehya asked.
"Ah, don't worry! Father has allowed me to go there. He'd be more at ease if someone like you come with me. He even brought up the idea of โโsome Corps of Thirty mercenaries escorting me there, which I thought was a bit too much."
"I mean, I can't blame him for bringing up an idea like that... Let's get going, this will take a while."
Dehya walked ahead with Afiyah still standing where she was. The mercenary turned around wondering why the Scribe's daughter had not followed her, before she proposed an idea of โโher own.
"I can think of a quicker way to get there. What if I told you I could, at least try to teleport us there?"
"...Let's give it a shot."
"Okay, let's try not to do something I'm clearly not good at ever again..."
Dehya laughed out loud at Afiyah's words. Just now, Afiya teleported them to the fountain in Pardis Dhyai. Even after they arrived at the desert, Afiyah's cheeks were still rosy and Dehya was still laughing.
"How can you still laugh even after what just happened, Aunt Dehya? I should be apologizing for getting us both wet," Afiyah said while being dried by Dehya's Pyro shield.
"Hahahaha ahahah... Ehem, sorry kid. That's the best laugh I've gotten in a while. Hey, at least there was an attempt," Dehya said in an effort to comfort Afiyah as she pat her head.
Without them noticing, they had approached the area where Aqilah was supposedly training. Afiyah looked up from her sulking session and saw her older twin sister talking with the General Mahamatra.
"Always remember these things. Always think about your enemy, and always think about yourself. Make sure your thoughts are clear. Only then will you be able to fight better."
"Yes, sir."
"Aqilah!"
Feeling called, Aqilah turned and saw her younger twin sister waving her hand. She made her sword disappear into thin air before running to Afiyah.
"What are you doing here, Afiyah? Are you hurt? Your clothes are a little wet and you are protected by a Pyro shield. Did something happen?"
"Well, we did run into a little mishap... I brought lunch though!"
Aqilah raised her eyebrows on how her sister could still keep her spirits up after her small mishap. Cyno followed Aqilah and approached the two sisters.
"Afiyah, what a pleasant surprise. Did you come here alone or have someone accompany you?" he greeted.
"Haha, there's no need to worry about that, Cyno. I was the one who accompanied her here," said Dehya who joined the group.
"Mm-hm," Afiyah nodded.
The younger twin looked around, making sure that everyone was there. She then suggested them to rest back at Aaru Village.
"Since it looks like your training is over, how about we head back to Aaru Village for lunch. I'm sure there's enough food I've brought for everyone," Afiyah paused, turning to the General Mahamatra, "I even brought Tahchin for you Uncle Cyno."
"..."
"Then you can count me in."
After lunch and catching up with people in Aaru Village, the twins returned to Sumeru City accompanied by the General Mahamatra. They didn't immediately return home, instead they went to the Sanctuary of Surasthana to meet the Dendro Archon, Lesser Lord Kusanali.
"Good afternoon you two. Are you here for your study session?" she greeted.
"Yes we are, Lesser Lord Kusanali," Aqilah replied formally.
"Oh, haven't I told you not to be so formal when talking to me? After all, your father was one of the people who saved from the previous Sages. You can call me Nahida."
"..."
"...I-if that's... what you wish, Nahida..." Aqilah stuttered.
"Hehe, good job. Now, back to the topic at hand. I'm sure you came here to find out more about Zaleos, your ancestor."
"Correct," Afiyah said.
"That's precisely the reason why we've been coming here," Aqilah emphasized.
"I've done a lot of research since our last meeting, books, scrolls, and even searching for information from Irminsul. Before I say anything, I want to know what you found."
"Well, I found out that I could teleport. But not very well..." Afiyah confessed.
"That's okay, we can help you improve. Is there anything you'd like to add, Aqilah?"
"No, Lesser Lord Kusanaโ Apologies, force of habit..." Aqilah said.
"That's a shame, but it's alright. Now I will put forward whatever I find. Even though my knowledge of Zaleos, her powers, and the Isles of Etsumi is very limited, I willโ"
"Wait! Ehem, sorry for my impudence Nahida. But, do the Isles of Etsumi really exist?" Afiyah interrupted.
"That's what I'm still questioning. Documentation about the existence of the Isles of Etsumi from outsiders is very limited, there may be one or two but not very well known. The only source confirming its existence is the scroll your mother got from your grandfather, which your father had gifted me."
Both Aqilah and Afiyah were lost in thoughts. They thought of many ways to find more information. Since the most trusted source was from their grandfather, did they need to travel to Liyue to meet him?
Nahida suddenly leaves and returns with a jar full of Candied Ajilenakh Nuts.
"Here, try to take a bite of this. I asked one of the guards to buy it. I just need one little bite and my brain starts chugging away at top speed, and suddenly there's no problem too difficult for me to solve," she offered.
"Thanks Nahida."
"T-thank you, Nahida..."
The twin sisters took a bite out of the candy, the two of them made different expressions after doing so.
"So? How was it? Did the candy help?"
"It did, I feel my focus coming back. Thanks again Nahida," Afiyah said.
"Hehe, you're welcome. What do you think, Aqilaโ Aqilah? Are you alright?"
Afiyah stifled a laugh at the funny expression her sister made. The Dendro Archon even held back her laughter.
"Sorry, it was a tad too sweet for me. I still appreciate the thought. Thank you, Nahida."
Afiyah and Nahida let themselves laugh, making Aqilah smile herself. They spent the rest of the afternoon honing their skills to use Zaleos' powers.
(That evening)
After a long day of training and learning, the twin sisters returned to their home. Entering the house, they immediately saw their father reading a book in the living room. Aqilah quickly looked away.
"We're back!" Afiyah chirped.
"Welcome back. I've bought food from Lambad's Tavern for dinner, so you don't need to cook Afiyah," Alhaitham said.
"Really? Thank you, Father. Let's eat together, Aqilah!"
"No, thank you. I'm not hungry. I'm going to take a bath and head straight to bed. Today has been a long day."
Aqilah walked away straight to her room. Her behavior came off as rather cold and stone-hearted, it hurt Afiyah's feelings a bit. She heaved a sad sigh and headed to the kitchen for dinner, alone.
Alhaitham who noticed his younger daughter's behavior, followed her to the kitchen, where she was picking at her food. As her father, Alhaitham wanted to comfort Afiyah. But unfortunately, he didn't know how.
"Afiyah, can you come here for a moment? There's something I want to talk to you about," he called.
"Ah, what is it Father?"
Alhaitham could hear the sad and languid tone of his younger daughter, it somehow made his heart ache. Suddenly and unexpectedly, he pulled Afiyah into a hug.
"FโFather...? What... is the meaning of this?"
Alhaitham stayed silent, until Afiyah has completely melted into his embrace. At the very least, this was the love he could give his daughter, who still wanted to connect with him.

Note
I hope this doesnโt sound to dumb or uninteresting๐
Can you please write one with a isekai reader who just got reincarnated in a dying npc but all there really interested in is getting mora and buying food but they soon realize there lives could be in danger at some point in time so they learn martial arts or any other vision like how to use it (you can decide the vision idc) and they just continue buying food and living a peaceful, calm life and also can it be fluff and I donโt really want a x reader but if it helps you write easier then feel free to add whoever you like!
If you donโt end up writing it I completely understand, I get it sounds a bit childish๐
Thanks for the request, but I don't think I'll be writing this any time soon. I've been keeping this in my drafts thinking I could write it, yet the idea never materialized. The idea is there, it's just missing something to make it a full fic. Thank you for understanding (โ ย โ โนโ โฝโ โนโ ย โ )

"I will be gone for a while, I have some... 'important business' that I need to take care of. I will be back soon."
'Will be back soon,' he said. Hah, how laughable. You scoffed at your husband's words as you recalled it in your head.
You sometimes questioned your marriage to the Akademiya's Scribe. What did he see in you? What was the reason that made you accept his proposal? Why do you feel clueless about everything? As you recall, you happened to be in the same Haravatat class with him, you started to get close and... all of a sudden, you were married to him. It feels like you have forgotten something, but you couldn't seem to remember.
You yelped when you suddenly felt a strong kick from the baby. "Ow! H-hey little one... You don't like it when mommy's upset, do you? I'm sorry, sweetie. Would walking around help with that?"
When you got up from the couch, you're slowly regretting your decision. Gosh, your back ached and your belly felt so heavy. Nonetheless, you walked around the house for a while, stopping at your front porch.
"Okay, that's enough walking for today. My feet are hurting..." You said to yourself as you sat on one of the outdoor chairs.
The cool breeze lightly grazed your skin, its gentle touch slowly lulling you to sleep.
(Flashback)
Entering the House of Daena, Alhaitham was greeted with a wall of books on his right and left. Walking across the bridge to the main room, he saw how crowded the place was. Alhaitham was slowly regretting his decision, but he desperately needs additional materials for his research. Setting his personal preferences aside, he scoured through bookshelf after bookshelf for materials.
After finding books that might help him in his research, he looked around for a place to sit. As he had seen before, the library was quite crowded, so finding a place to sit wasn't easy. Until he spotted a fellow student from his Darshan sitting by herself.
"Mind if I sit here so that I can finish my research?" he asked the lone student.
"No, not at all. I understand how difficult it is to find a place at a time when the library is busy like this, so I don't mind. As long as you don't bother me."
Alhaitham sat down and was about to start reading his books when he was suddenly intrigued by your work. Several ancient scrolls was laid in front of you written in an unfamiliar script, you looked back and forth at the scroll, to a book, then writing something down on another book.
"I know you said to not bother you, but can I ask you about your work? I've never seen such a script like this before," Alhaitham spoke up.
You looked up, slightly taken aback by his words. "Hm? Oh, sure. I actually haven't seen them before either."
"Oh? Is that so? Then how were you able to acquire such ancient documents? I don't see you ever getting a permit to leave the Akademiya for you to get these scrolls. I see that you also have the appropriate dictionary for it as well."
"Are you suspecting that I've done something illegal in order to get these? Well I'm sorry for bursting your bubble, but these are gifts from my father. He said it's time for me to learn this."
Alhaitham didn't expect that. "Was your father a scholar of the Akademiya?" he asked.
"No, I didn't think so. Or at least, not that I know of."
There was a really awkward silence after you stated your answer. Alhaitham thought of more ways to get more information on you. He was already interested in you.
"Where are you from?"
"I'm from Liyue. Why asking? Does it matter to you to know where I'm from?"
"Yes, it does. These scripts are nowhere near similar to the writing system used in Liyue. And your name is Y/n, right?"
"...Correct."
"That doesn't sound like a Liyuean name either..." he murmured.
"Actually, I didn't expect that an apathetic person like you would know the names of the people around him. You're something else, Alhaitham."
"...The feeling is mutual."
โZaleos, the God of Peace ruled over a chain of floating island northwest of Inazuma's Jinren Island called Isles of Etsumi. Once an acquaintance to the Guili Assembly, she fought alongside them during the Archon War despite her pacifist nature. Towards the end of the war, a new threat emerged near the Isles of Etsumi causing Zaleos to return to her homeland. And that was the last thing they heard from her. Zaleos had lost her power after the Archon War. She continued her life as an ordinary human, fell in love with one of her subjects, and hope that her powers will return to her descendants.โ
After finishing with their respective missions, the Traveler, Paimon and Dehya agreed to meet up with the group at the Grand Bazaar. Alhaitham and Cyno were already there.
They discussed the smooth running of their respective missions and had a bit of a fight, dragging Nilou into their plans in the process.
"I... I can't believe my ears! You are truly the bravest and most passionate people of Sumeru, well, that... I've ever met!" she beamed.
"Ahem!" Paimon cleared her throat.
"Oh right, the Traveler and Paimon are not from Sumeru, but you are awesome as well!" Nilou corrected herself.
"Hehe, that's right!"
"I... I must admit that I'm a little scared. But I'll try my best for Lesser Lord Kusanali. If I can somehow use my abilities to help you, then count me in."
"Remember, believe in yourself," Cyno said.
"...Okay! I'll get my friends at the Grand Bazaar to help us tomorrow!"
"Just remember not to say too much. Be discreet," Dehya advised.
"Yep, you got it!"
"All the preparations are done. Now, can we finally conclude this meeting?" Alhaitham spoke up.
"Yeah. Tomorrow, we are going to save a god," said the Traveler.
"So, have you thought up what you'd like to say, boss?" Dehya asked.
"It's hard to believe everything that has happened till now... And our actions will bring change to many things tomorrow."
"Yep yep! It's a grand plan, and we're all super awesome!" Paimon said excitedly.
"That's right, so... Just get a good night's sleep, everyone!"
"Hahaha!" Dehya laughed.
"Well said. A good night's rest before an operation can be the difference between success and failure," Cyno commented.
"...Thankfully, I've had my place to myself recently. It's been nice and quiet."
"Huh?"
"Oh, huh, nothing."
"Alright, let's all go home and get a good night's sleep, so we can be up early tomorrow!" Paimon said.
"Okay, so I guess that means it's time to say goodnight now."
"Yep! Goodnight, everyone."
The group went their separate ways, and Alhaitham walked back to his residence. Strolling around Sumeru City at night is indeed the best. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, accompanied by sounds of nature. Shops and stalls have closed, their owners and merchants have gone home to rest. The children of Sumeru are no longer running around playing with their friends, they are safe in their respective homes drifting off to dreamland. Only members of the Corps of Thirty patrolled around the city.
Arriving in front of the house, Alhaitham saw that the light was still on from the inside. Are you still awake waiting for his return? He took out the house keys and unlocked the front door, locking it back when he entered. You didn't fall asleep in the living room, so he went to look for you in the kitchen.
You weren't there either, there was just some food you left for him when he came home. Alhaitham appreciate the thought, but he didn't want you overworking yourself. So he went to the last place you might be in, which is your shared bedroom.
"Just as I expected, you've fallen asleep," Alhaitham whispered to himself.
He then noticed a pile of folded clothes in the corner of the room. Alhaitham sighed before approaching the bed to pull your blanket over your shoulders.
"Didn't I tell you not to overwork yourself? Stubborn..."
He suddenly became alert when you stirred in your sleep, hugging the pillow you used for support closer to you. Alhaitham was holding his breath, trying so hard not to wake you up. When he was away from the bed, Alhaitham sighed as he stuffed the folded clothes into the closet.
Taking some clothes of his own, Alhaitham took them to the bathroom to freshen up.
(time skip brought to you by le author :P)
Exiting the bathroom feeling clean and refreshed, Alhaitham had changed into a dark green silk robe. He saw that you were sleeping on the right side of the bed but you were sleeping on your left side. So he occupied the left side of the bed.
He watched as your shoulder rise and fall as a manifestation of the air you inhaled and exhaled. For some reason, Alhaitham couldn't fall asleep. He couldn't stop thinking about the big day tomorrow, even though he was already confident that his plan would work. Was he just... nervous?
Without him knowing, Alhaitham's hand mindlessly snaked towards your pregnant belly, hugging you from behind. You stirred in your sleep feeling the lingering touch on your stomach, causing Alhaitham to froze on the spot. After a while, you started to feel comfortable in his arms.
"Huh, you rascal. Quit scaring your husband like that..." he whispered.
Alhaitham playfully kissed the crown of your head and dozed off to sleep.
The next morning, you woke up as usual. It's just, you wondered about something. Did Alhaitham come home last night? But why is there no sign of his return? You swear you felt someone hug you from behind while you were sleeping, you even felt a kiss placed on the crown of your head.
As you continued to scratch the top of your head, you felt the sudden urge to go to the bathroom.
"P-patient, little one... Please give time for mommy to get to the bathroom first... Ugh..."
After somehow managing to avoid a disaster, you headed to the kitchen to look for signs of his return. Just now when you came out of the bathroom, you realized that the pile of clothes you folded the night before had been put in the closet. Did Alhaitham seriously put them away for you? Or did you put them away last night? But you remembered that you will do it in the morning. Hmm...
When you arrived in the kitchen, you immediately found the evidence you needed. The food you left for him is gone.
"So, you really do care about me. Heh, so much for trying to be sneaky..."
(That afternoon)
"What...?! Alhaitham... is exiled to Aaru Village?"
The General Mahamatra went to visit you that afternoon, telling you what they had done on Jnagarbha Day. You immediately stood up reflexively from shock but regretted it soon after.
"Ah, careful...! We don't want you hurting yourself now..." Cyno said as he sat you back down.
"Thanks, Cyno... But still, he willingly used the Divine Knowledge Capsule during his confrontation with Azar, and got himself exiled... I'm relieved that his radical plan worked but, I don't know how I should feel about this..."
"That's understandable. But knowing Alhaitham, he won't let them arrest him so easily. He probably fought them off and escaped."
"Right..."
You went silent, thinking deeply about your husband's plan. Even after marrying him for so many years, you couldn't understand how his brain works.
You were lost in your thoughts until Cyno said his farewells to you. "I have to go now, Y/n. There's still some things that I need to take care of."
"O-oh, I understand. Thanks for dropping by, Cyno."
The General Mahamatra simply nodded and took his leave. You watched him leave until he's out of your sight, letting out a deep sigh and closed your eyes.
A few days have passed since the rescue of Lesser Lord Kusanali and your husband Alhaitham was still nowhere to be seen. You didn't even know whether he's home or not, even if he was, he'll get up early to go take care of something at the Akademiya.
After Azar and his accomplices were overthrown, the Akademiya scrambled to nominate and select new sages. Since the sages from Vahumana and Amurta were the only ones remaining, they need to select new sages for the Rtawahist Darshan, Spantamad Darshan, Haravatat Darshan, and the Kshahrewar Darshan.
While you were cooking breakfast in the kitchen, a knock was heard on the front door.
"My dear Y/n! Oh, you have no idea how much I miss you."
"Kaveh, you're back."
The Palace of Alcazarzaray's architect pulled you into a hug, minding your stomach. He then pulled out a bouquet of Sumeru Roses that he was hiding behind his back.
"You know me, as someone who values โโaesthetics in everything, unlike that husband of yours... I bought you these flowers because they remind me of you. I know they don't match your level of beauty my dear, but I still hope you like them."
"Oh, Kaveh... You shouldn't have... Thank you. But please, think about your own finances."
"No no, I don't mind if they're spent on a beautiful woman like you," Kaveh said as he winked at you.
You sighed in contentment as you brushed Kaveh off, letting him into the house. He took off his cape and sets it down.
"Have you had breakfast? I just made some," you said as you put the Sumeru Roses in a glass vase.
"That sounds lovely, my dear. But I'm afraid I can't have some right now because... working on a project in the middle of the desert has made me feel disgusted. I'm in desperate need of a bath! You go on ahead darling, I'll soon be joining you."
Kaveh went to use the guest bathroom, leaving you alone in the kitchen. You grabbed two plates, one for yourself and one for him.
As you were just about to scoop up some Aaru Mixed Rice that you cooked earlier, you felt something trickling down your legs.
"Hm? What was tha... Oh no... No, no no no no no. Not at a time like this."
You kept denying the fact that you have gone into labor. But soon, you have to accept the reality as you felt a strong contraction hit you.
"Argh! Oh, this is bad... Kaveh?!" You called out to Kaveh in a panic but considering that he was in the bathroom, he wouldn't hear you. So you were forced to suffer alone until Kaveh came to save you.
After the Traveler and Paimon talked to Nilou at the Grand Bazaar, they headed to the Akademiya to confirm Alhaitham has received Nilou's invitation. By asking an Amurta student by the name of Geoff, they found out that he was in the House of Daena.
Entering the colossal library that stands at the center of the Sumeru Akademiya, the Traveler and Paimon approached the Scribe but stopped when they saw him talking to another person.
"Oh, he's over there! But it looks like he might not have time for us..." Paimon said.
"He's already talking with someone else."
They watched him bicker with a blond man who now they know as Kaveh.
"Forget what's going on with the Akademiya, haven't you been busy with your construction project? Tell me, when are you going to build yourself a mansion?" Alhaitham asked.
"Don't get me started... I get angry just thinking about it," Kaveh grumbled.
"So, what great building did our master architect work on this time?" Alhaitham said sarcastically.
"Like I need to tell you! Keep your nose out of my business," Kaveh retorted.
"No, I think we deserve to know. Where were you when Sumeru needed you most?"
"I was in the desert for a large project, but considering Haravatat's utter ignorance of architectural and aesthetic matters, you probably wouldn't understand. Which is truly unfortunate! I can only pity the man who doesn't understand the first thing about beauty and romance. Unlike a true..."
Kaveh was just about to continue talking when suddenly he had fully processed Alhaitham's words. "Hold on, wait a second, what do you mean by 'when Sumeru needed me most'?" he asked.
"Well, while you were out fiddling around in the desert, many people came together to save Sumeru from a crisis. All you really need to know is that Azar and all his accomplices have all been overthrown."
"Hah, and you think I'd believe that? What nonsense are you talking about?"
"It's no skin off my nose if you don't believe me. It's not like my Darshan was the one trying to apply for funding from the Grand Sage. Yours, though, on the other hand..."
Kaveh seems to be fed up with his underclassman's hypocrisy. To the extent that he said, "You know what? Then I shall ask you this. Where were you when your wife needed you the most?"
"What are you on about, Kaveh?" Alhaitham asked, slightly taken aback.
"Just this morning, I carried your wife to the Bimarstan because she has gone into labor. I thought you as her husband would be there right beside her, supporting her every step of the way. But no, you're here reading that stupid book of yours in the House of Daena! Good Celestia, I don't even know what she saw in you to the point of agreeing to marry you!"
Although his face doesn't show much, Alhaitham was surprised to see the way Kaveh lashed out at him. Yes, he often bickered with his senior, but not to this extent. It has to do with the person he married, the person he loves. But if he treated you like what Kaveh said, does he really love you?
"I'll ask around! I'm sure someone knows what's going on here. You're dead if I find out you're lying to me."
Kaveh stormed off, leaving Alhaitham alone with his thoughts. The Traveler and Paimon are confused about how to respond to Alhaitham's fight with Kaveh earlier. They decided to approach him anyway.
"Hey, Alhaitham!" Paimon greeted.
"Oh, it's you two. What's the matter?"
The expression on the Traveler's and Paimon's faces were both pitiful, the way Alhaitham quickly put up his emotional walls the moment he talked to them. They talked about many things, from their purpose of coming here in the first place to the appointment of Alhaitham as the Grand Sage. The Traveler and Paimon were curious about the person Kaveh had called his 'wife', but they were reluctant to ask about her.
"By the way, who was that other person just now? Is he your friend?" Paimon asked.
"Do we look like friends?"
"Paimon doesn't know! That's why Paimon's asking!"
"His name is Kaveh, my roommate. You could say he's the representative for Kshahrewar scholars," Alhaitham explained.
"He didn't seem to believe a word you told him," the Traveler commented.
"Which is exactly why he always has so many problems."
"Also Alhaitham, Paimon remembers that Kaveh said something about your wife. Paimon didn't know that an annoying person like you has a wife. Why you never mentioned anything about her? Where is she, and why have we never met her?"
Paimon really went for it, she really asked him about you. Even so, Alhaitham remained silent. Uh-oh, has Paimon offended him?
"..."
"...I never talk about my wife because I don't want her to get involved in my work. You yourself already know how dangerous the things we deal with, so I'm also thinking about her safety," Alhaitham spoke up.
"Wow, Paimon also didn't know that someone like you can be so considerate..." Paimon commented.
"Thanks for your hard work these days," the Traveler expressed their gratitude.
"Such is the work of the Akademiya Scribe."
"Well anyway, no matter how busy you are, since you were our planner, remember to attend the celebration feast in two days!" Paimon reminded.
"All right, I'll see you there."
As the Traveler and Paimon leaves the Akademiya, they saw Kaveh frantically rushing into the building. They didn't think much about it and continued their journey to Port Ormos.
(Back inside the House of Daena)
"AlโAlhaitham!"
Alhaitham was now by the one of the bookshelves, he turned around the moment his senior called his name.
"How can I help you, senior Kaveh?" Alhaitham asked.
"Look, this is no time for your jokes and sarcasm. This is very serious!"
"Oh? And what serious thing do you mean by that?"
"Y/n is missing."
"What do you mean โyOu DoN't KnOwโ? You were clearly here when you registered her and after."
Alhaitham and Kaveh were at the Bimarstan talking to the only intern there, Tamara. Despite multiple attempts to ask her, Tamara still claimed to "not know" about your whereabouts.
"As I said before, Mr. Kaveh, my job is only to record patients' medical records. Since Doctor Zakariya isn't here, I couldn't do much other than following my senior's orders," she proclaimed.
"Ugh, you...! FโFine, then enlighten me. Who's this senior of yours who ordered you to do such a thing?" Kaveh asked.
"I believe her name is Najwa."
"Najwa?"
They turned around at the sound of another voice. It turned out that another intern doctor named Golshan had just returned from whatever she was doing.
"Didn't she leave Sumeru a long time ago? I heard that she disappeared for a while. What is she doing back in Sumeru?"
"Who exactly is this Najwa?" Alhaitham asked.
"Ms. Najwa was our senior in the Amurta Darshan, she was also a doctor here in Bimarstan. But all of a sudden, she decided to leave Sumeru and we haven't heard from her since then," Golshan explained.
"And what were her orders?" Kaveh took turns asking.
"She ordered me to give medicine to the patient to reduce the pain because the patient was about to be transferred. Doctor Zakariya is out and she said it would be easier if the patient was brought there," Tamara explained.
"That doesn't make any sense at all! Transferring a patient who is in labor is a very big risk! Don't you understand?"
Kaveh went into a fit of rage, he tried to reason with the irresponsible intern doctor. Alhaitham on the other hand, had already planned his next move.
"Nidal!" he called.
A Corps of Thirty mercenary by the name of Nidal was coincidentally walking around the area when he heard the Scribe's call. He quickly rushed towards where Alhaitham was.
"Yes, Scribe Alhaitham? What are your orders?" Nidal asked.
"Gather some of your men, we're possibly looking for a kidnapped person."
(Meanwhile)
"What is the meaning of this? Let go of me!"
You just woke up and found yourself in an unfamiliar place. Your wrists and legs are strapped to the examination table in the middle of the dark, dingy room.
A voice of a man suddenly echoed in the room, sending shivers down your spine
"Quit struggling, darling. Otherwise you might not make it out of here alive."
"Dottore... You still dare to show your face in the land of the God of Wisdom. You better let me go and get out of here!"
"Ooh, feisty... Still, that's not going to help you out of here."
Your body tensed the moment he walked towards you. You glared at him as you watched him circle you with a smile on his face.
"Do you know why you were brought here? Can you guess it?" Dottore asked. "Even if you knew, you wouldn't tell me. Let me do the honor to tell you. It all has to do with your origins, were you the one who inherited Zaleos' powers?"
"I won't hesitate to use that power on you..." you threatened him.
"Hah, even in this condition? Have you forgotten who you're dealing with? There's a reason why I'm second of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. Do you want me to prove tha--"
"Dottore, sir. I advise you not to put her under more stress, it's bad for the child in her w--"
"Yes yes, I understand, Najwa. Keep an eye on her and let me know when she's progressing."
(Later that evening)
"Ugh, we can finally rest! Seriously, I haven't even had a chance to eat breakfast yet. I'm already starving, luckily Miss Golshan came along and cooked us dinner."
After hours of trying to find you, the group decided to take a break as it was getting dark. They stopped at a campground that happens to have a pot over a campfire, which they used to cook dinner.
"It's nothing, Mr. Kaveh. I can't let you continue on this mission on an empty stomach, you will get sick and become a patient in the Bimarstan then," Golshan said.
"Aww, you're so considerate Miss Golshan. Unlike my anathema of a underclassmen, Alhaitham over here," Kaveh sneered.
"I already planned our mission even when you're panicking back at the Bimarstan earlier. How much more ungrateful can you be?" Alhaitham replied back.
"You didn't even bother to ask your senior whether he had breakfast or not!"
"It's because you didn't tell me."
Golshan sweatdropped at the sight of Alhaitham and Kaveh's bickering. She stopped them by ladling out the Minty Bean Soup into wooden bowls.
"Here you go, Mr. Kaveh. Your Minty Bean Soup," Golshan said as she handed a bowl of soup to him.
"Why thank you, Miss Golshan! You're my savior."
"Here's one for you too, Scribe Alhaitham."
"T-thank you, Miss Golshan..."
They enjoyed a warm and hearty dinner under the starry night sky. Alhaitham hasn't touched his soup, he instead observed the atmosphere around him. He saw members of his group talking, laughing, and joking with each other as they're having seconds of the Minty Bean Soup. Come to think of it, Alhaitham quite liked this kind of atmosphere. He really should have dinner with you more often...
Nidal and a few other Corps of Thirty members have returned with news.
"Scribe, we've found the place."
It's the night of the celebration feast held to celebrate Cyno's reinstatement as the General Mahamatra. Alhaitham went to attend the event.
Two days have passed since the day of your kidnapping, and now you're safe in the hands of the Bimarstan. When they ventured into the place where you might be being held, you were found in a very concerning condition.
(Flashback)
The group burst into a dark, dingy room with a examination table in the middle. There, they found you lying on top of it. Alhaitham, Kaveh and Golshan were quick to approach you.
"Y/n...! Oh my Archon..." Kaveh gasped.
Alhaitham was quick to take you into his arms, thinking you would react to his touch. But, you laid completely still in his arms. He tried to shake your body and call your name hoping you would wake up, but his efforts were in vain.
"Goodness, she's cold to the touch... and her skin is abnormally pale... We have to run her to the Bimarstan as soon as possib--"
"But what about my niece/nephew? Where are they?!"
Kaveh's shouting triggered the sound of crying which can be heard from the next room. Nidal and his friends slowly approached the door to the room, followed by Golshan and Kaveh. After making sure that the room was safe from the outside, Nidal let them both in. And there, they found something surprising.
Golshan was too stunned to even speak properly, on the other Kaveh hand...
"Guess what Alhaitham said about me being clueless was right after all... I didn't expect them to be twins..."
(Flashback ends)
Yes, you heard it. You and Alhaitham had twin girls. Yay, congratulation! Shouldn't he be happy? Unfortunately, no, he wasn't.
While the others were eating and having fun, Alhaitham barely touched his food. Even though his face doesn't show much emotion, his feelings are mixed inside. Especially after remembering what Golshan said to him when they arrived at the Bimarstan.
"Twins usually take a long time to come out, but your daughters seemed to come out pretty fast. There are ways to speed up labor, but unfortunately your wife's delivery is forced to speed up. This caused her body to be heavily strained. And... I'm afraid she can't recover from this..."
Alhaitham gritted his teeth as he replayed Golshan's words over and over in his head. He didn't even notice the tight grip on the gold rimmed wine glass he was holding.
"Uhh, Alhaitham...? Are you okay? Paimon noticed you were gritting your teeth earlier, are the effects from the Divine Knowledge Capsule still there?" Paimon asked.
Alhaitham looked up from his reverie and saw his friends all looking at him with concern in their eyes. But he brushed it off as if it was nothing.
"The effects from the Divine Knowledge Capsule only lasted for a few minutes. It shouldn't give any side effect to this day. So yes, I'm completely fine. Don't mind me," Alhaitham said before taking a sip of his wine.
His friends are still worried about him, except for one. Cyno, he clearly knew why Alhaitham was behaving that way. Even though he is busy dealing with educational issues in Aaru Village, he knows the guilt that is in the Scribe's self.
"Just let him be," Cyno said curtly.
Although still feeling reluctant to leave Alhaitham alone, they tried to enjoy the feast 'till the moment it ended.
(After the celebration feast)
Cyno headed to the Bimarstan as he exited the door to the left from the Zubayr Theater stage. He immediately spotted Doctor Zakariya talking to Golshan.
"Oh, the General Mahamatra...! What brings you here to our fine establishment?" Doctor Zakariya greeted.
"Is the patient by the name of Y/n here?" he asked.
"She is resting inside. Mr. Kaveh has been staying here since two days ago, seems like he fell asleep too," Golshan informed.
"Alright, thank you."
The door to your room was slightly agape, Cyno peeked inside and saw Kaveh resting his head on the edge of the bed by your leg. He must have fallen asleep. Cyno tiptoed into the room, hoping that he won't wake any of you. But his efforts were in vain, as Kaveh woke up because he somehow felt another presence in the room.
"Oh, Cyno... Hello...! How's the celebration feast?" Kaveh greeted.
"It went just as you expected it would be."
Cyno looked at you then looked at the little bundles of joy sleeping in their crib. He couldn't help but smiled at the way they slept so soundly.
"Has Y/n woken up earlier?"
"She has... Miss Golshan gave us some food considering Y/n also didn't have breakfast the day she was kidnapped. I didn't mean to become such a nuisance to Miss Golshan and the Bimarstan, but there's no point for me to return to Alhaitham's residence. I mean, how could I?"
Cyno listened to Kaveh's pitiful rambling, as if he was drunk. Well he wasn't exactly drunk on alcohol, he was drunk on sadness.
"...Y/n hardly touched her food, I only managed to feed her a few spoonfuls of soup. Where even is Alhaitham? Was he enjoying the celebration feast?"
"He tried, but I saw through the facade he's trying to put up. I saw the guilt and regrets in his eyes, I know he feels bad about what he did," Cyno said.
"Huh, he better be..."
The two men in the room suddenly became alert when you stirred in your sleep. Kaveh moved his chair closer to you while Cyno stood by the end of the bed. Your eyes slowly fluttered open revealing those beautiful (eye color) eyes he adored.
"Y/n... hi...! You still have a lot of soup left. Do you want to continue eating it? I can feed you like before," Kaveh offered.
"Thanks Kaveh, but I'm not that hungry... How's the celebration feast, Cyno? Did you enjoy it?"
"It was good. I quite liked it," Cyno said.
"That's good to hear..."
The room fell silent and the only thing that could be heard was your labored breathing. You really were on your last leg. They couldn't do anything to help you other than keeping you company. They resented their uselessness, and it shows from their wistful expressions.
"Cyno... Could I... ask you of a favor?"
"...What is it?" he asked.
"Would you do the honors of reciting the prayer in the baby's ears?"
"Agh... Are you sure...?" Cyno flusteredly asked.
You nodded as Kaveh had already picked up your older daughter and handed her to the General Mahamatra. The architect even had time to correct the way he held the little one.
"Have you given her a name?"
"No, I... haven't even thought of a name yet..."
The General Mahamatra hummed before bringing your older daughter closer to his lips. "May the God watch over you and protect you."
And it was at that moment Alhaitham came into the room. His arrival was unexpected, but they knew he'll eventually come around. Kaveh scorned at Alhaitham's presence, while you and Cyno were relieved to see him. You could see the way his eyes soften at you waking up and at the twins.
"Alhaitham..."
"Look who finally decided to show up! Don't you understand how frustrating it is for you to just come and go as you please to do?" Kaveh confronted.
"Senior Kaveh, I understand this is upsetting but I beg you to calm do--"
"Oh, so now you're acting respectful to me!? I see you Alhaitham, I see you! I don't know what kind of game you're playing with me, but I advise you to stop it right now! I am getting sick of it!"
Kaveh's outburst was understandable but Cyno cared about your welfare. After returning your older daughter to you, he dragged Kaveh out of the room.
"That's enough, Kaveh. Let's go," Cyno said.
"Whaa-- Ugh, Cyno...! Don't you understand what I'm trying to do?" Kaveh protested.
"It's better we leave them alone so they can talk things over."
For a moment you two were alone, Alhaitham let his emotional wall down as he suddenly pulled you into a hug and pressed his forehead against yours.
"...Don't scare me like that. I thought you would never wake up."
"Not as scared as I was when I heard you were exiled to Aaru Village. I won't forgive you for nearly giving me a heart attack..."
He chuckled at your words before planting a kiss on your forehead. Since you were already holding your older daughter, Alhaitham picked up her younger sister who was still fast asleep in her crib. She was cranky for a moment but quickly calmed down and warmed up to her father's touches.
"...Look at them. Aren't they just the most adorable and precious things you've seen on Teyvat?"
Alhaitham had to agree. It really was the most precious thing he had ever seen. His genuine smile as he looked at his two daughters with such affection warms your heart.
"Have you given them names?" he asked.
"No, I haven't... Actually I was waiting to discuss it with you..."
This caused Alhaitham to feel even worse. How long have you been waiting for him? Why are you so patient with him? He felt he was not worthy of you.
"Hey...! No, don't go to sleep yet... We haven't even started the discussion..."
Alhaitham's desperate calls was heard by the two men who were outside the room, causing Kaveh and Cyno to come back inside. They could see you were struggling to breathe and they couldn't deny the fact that you were dying.
"Alhaitham, please... listen to me. Can you... recite the prayer in our younger daughter's ear?"
He simply nodded as he stood up to recite the prayer. Kaveh has gotten close to you to take turns holding your older daughter in one arm and holding your hand. You watched as Alhaitham does his job like a father, and it made your heart flutter. You couldn't be more proud of him.
'Forgive me Alhaitham, but I can't continue on this journey. My time has come, and my life will come to an end. Don't worry, you have many friends who will accompany you on this journey. Even if you feel lost, they are the ones who will help you and guide you to the right path. I entrust our two daughters in your hands. I love you... goodbye.'
Alhaitham seemed to be in a world of his own, and it was only when he finished reciting the prayer that he realized what had happened. Kaveh sobbed as he begged you to come back signified you have passed.
"No... no...! You can't possibly leave me alone! Please Y/n, I beg of you...! Come back...!"
Cyno tugged at his headpiece to hide the fact his lips were quivering. Alhaitham didn't even realize the expression he has on his face right now. How his eyes widened as tears flowed down his face.
The men in the room were caught off guard as the little ones began to feel the loss of their mother. Alhaitham who was holding his crying younger daughter didn't know how to handle her, when suddenly he saw the way Kaveh handled his older daughter.
"Oh no, no no no... It's okay, my dear... Shhhh... Don't cry, Uncle Kaveh's here... We're in this together, okay? I want you to be strong..."
Kaveh was right. What did you even see in him? Alhaitham began to question everything he thought he knew. Just like you at the beginning of this story.
Alhaitham thinks he doesn't deserve to have received your love and affection.
[Author's Note]: Whew! I finally finished writing the prologue of this series! *cue the author's celebration dance*
I know I stated in my rules that I won't be writing for Alhaitham, but I just couldn't help it. For me, this series is just my way to explore his character :)

๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐๐๐ #2
"I see that you stayed in the same place as the day I left you, Father."
[_____]'s eyes widened at the voice he hasn't heard in years. The way he turned around so quickly after hearing the title he hadn't used in a long time emphasized his surprise. And there, before his eyes, stood his eldest daughter.
"Aqilah..."
The two earned stares and whispers from students who are new to the Akademiya as they stood still in the halls. Old scholars who knew [_____] were just as confused as the students at the arrival of Aqilah.
"Am I seeing things?"
"[_____] has a daughter?!"
"She's a carbon copy of her father..."
[_____] realized that the his daughter's arrival made the atmosphere chaotic. So he took her to a more secluded place.
"Why don't we take this to my office? We can talk privately there."
If you were to guess who this is for, keep in mind that the amount of "_" in the brackets doesn't represent the amount of letters in the character's name. I'm just putting them there so you could fill in the blanks :)

100 ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐!
On the fateful day of Thursday, October 27th 2022 (when I was at school :v), this blog reached 100 followers! I would like to thank you for those who has stuck around and watch as more fics is being posted on the blog! I also appreciate those who liked and commented, even though you were just passing by.
I actually have never done anything like this before, and even if I have it was bound to fail anyway :') So let's try something simple.
A simple Q&A: You may send one or two questions addressed to the author. Ask whatever you're curious about, whether it's about Genshin, my writing or something else. But please, do not make them weird or too personal :v You may also include a question with the prompt you sent for this event.
Requests: This works the same as my regular request (here for my request rules). I will not provide a prompt list for this event, I also want your creativity to be present :D
Fandom: For now, I only write for Genshin Impact.
Characters: I write for (almost) all characters. Ones I'm not that confident writing are Yelan, Shenhe, Kazuha, Ayaka, Thoma, Ayato, Yoimiya, Sayu, Heizou, Gorou, Kokomi, Ei /Raiden Shogun, Kujou Sara, Dainsleif, Collei, Tighnari, Candace, Cyno, Nilou and Scaramouche, but I'll try my best in writing them. I won't be writing for Yaoyao, Baizhu, Alhaitham, Layla, Kusanali/Nahida, Dehya and Kaveh.
Genre: Everything is okay except for smut. Nopety nope nope nope! I could never write smut for the life of me.
Deadline: I won't set a deadline for now, I'll set it when there's a few requests coming in.
Have fun imagining!

โ๐ฌ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐โ
Synopsis: A strange letter has found its way to the Chief Officer Forest Watcher's desk and Tighnari wonders who it's from.
Character(s): Collei, Tighnari
Genre: Fluff (?, it's more bittersweet tbh)
Note: Actually made this for my school assignment lol. It is safe to say that my teacher doesn't know anything about Genshin, but she thinks it's still good ;)
A strange piece of paper had been found on the Chief Officer Forest Watcher's desk, which was addressed to him as well. Tighnari looked around to see if the sender of the letter was still around, but the only thing he could find was silence. He took the letter and flipped it multiple times, hoping he could find something that pointed to the sender of the letter. Still nothing. Sighing in defeat, Tighnari finally opened the letter.
"Oh, it's a letter from Collei. I can tell just from her handwriting. I wonder what she wants to the point of writing a letter," he mumbled.
Tighnari was silent as he stared at the letter after finished reading it. He then faced the sky and whispered, "You've really grown, Collei. Good luck."
As he began to read the contents of the letter, Tighnari felt something warm in his heart.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
To Master Tighnari,
I know it's rare for me to write letters like this, but I wrote this to tell you something I couldn't say in person. I decided to leave Gandharva Ville and explore the vast world of Teyvat. You don't need to worry about my Eleazar, thanks to Master it's not as bad as it used to be. And remember, I'm no longer the little Collei you met when I first got here.
Thank you for looking after and taking care of me all these years. It means a lot to me to be under your care and guidance. Wish me luck on my journey and I wish the best for you too.
Signing off,
Collei

โ๐ฌ ๐ฎ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐โ | ๐ฎ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐
Synopsis: Cyno is known to have sharp senses due to his duties as Matra. But somehow, the case of his missing significant other went unnoticed.
Pairing: Cyno x Reader
Genre: Angst to fluff
๐ฎ โ Author Answered: Oh dear, I may need to revise my rules if it causes confusion... Still, thank you for the request Anon!
Note: Cyno might be a bit OOC at the end of this, not sure how he would "canonically" react... (But bruh, it literally appeared in my dream like whaaatt...??)
Ah, you. Yes, you. Just a regular old Amurta scholar from the Akademiya that somehow managed to capture the General Mahamatra's heart. Sometimes you wonder, what really attracted him to you? Is it your intelligence? Is it your appearance? You think you're just an ordinary person. Well apparently not to him.
You see, Cyno actually has a little story about how he came to like you. One time when you were a student, Cyno was walking around the halls of the Akademiya. Not exactly on patrol, but he was keeping an eye out for "suspicious activities". It was night time and usually people were already asleep, but not for students at the Akademiya as they were still awake studying or finishing their assignments.
Out of the blue, Cyno caught a glimpse of a student rushing out of the Akademiya through one of the side doors. It looked real suspicious so he followed them to the upper level of Razan Garden. What he thought he would catch a student doing something against the Akademiya's rules, became the moment that might have made him fall in love at first sight.
"Oh wow, look at that! It really bloomed at night!"
The student Cyno was after was named Y/n. And it turns out that they were examining the City of Contracts' signature local flower, a Glaze Lily. They held the Glaze Lily above their head, exposing it to the moon's light.
Okay, so what? Cyno just coincidentally fell in love with a student who loves flowers. What's so special about it? Here's the thing.
Cyno is so used to treating people who break the rules harshly, he was amazed by the way you treat plants gently and lovingly. Something he had never felt and experienced before. Cyno never admits it but he has stalked you several times, watching you tend to the plants. One time, he even went to visit you.
You were preparing some things for a upcoming presentation. You were nervous. And the arrival of the General Mahamatra didn't help either.
"G-General Mahamatra...! What brings you here...?"
"Relax, I just came here to ask a few questions."
"Uhh... sure! Ask away!"
"How many lips does a flower have?"
Huh? What...? How many lips does a flower have? What kind of trick question is this? Did you really miss something that your teacher explained before? Oh boy...
"W-well... technically, according to what I know and if I didn't miss anything from my teacher, flowers don't have l--"
"Two-lips."
There was an awkward silence at first that made Cyno think he had ruined his chances. Until something clicked in your head, causing you to burst out laughing.
He was stunned, yet again. He never had anyone to genuinely laugh at his jokes. Most of the time, he has to explain them which defeats the purpose of telling the joke.
"Oh, I get it now! Sorry, it took a while. That was a good one. Can you tell me another plant related one?"
"...Sure."
Since that day, you two often meet and hang out together. Other students would normally be wary of him and avoid him, but not you. Till the day of your graduation, Cyno would visit you and tell one of his awful jokes.
"Cyno!"
He was already waiting for you at Razan Garden and you went to meet him, still wearing your graduation gown.
"Did you come to my graduation ceremony?"
"I saw it, briefly. You graduated at the top of your class," he said crossing his arms.
"Yeah, I did. And it's all thanks to you and your silly jokes. Thank you, Cyno."
Cyno was about to deny that he did nothing to help you with your studies when all of a sudden, you planted a kiss on his cheek and ran away.
Nabil, a Matra who was looking for Cyno saw him still standing in the same spot as when he was talking to you.
"Cyno! There you are. I even went around the Akademiya looking for you, I was hoping you could-- Cyno? Hello? Teyvat to the General Mahamatra!"
Cyno didn't respond to any of Nabil's calls, his brain was still processing the kiss you gave earlier. He was also trying hard to hide his blushing face and keep his cool as Cyno covered his face with his hand.
"Just pretend you saw nothing, Nabil."
"W-what...? I didn't see anything. Really, what happened? Your face is red, are you sick?"
"Ugh... I'm fine!"
(time skip brought to you by le author :P)
"Tighnari, have you seen Y/n? Did they come to Gandharva Ville recently?"
The General Mahamatra's sudden visit to Gandharva Ville surprised the Forest Watcher and even the Trainee Forest Ranger, who was hiding somewhere. He looks so disheveled, stressed out and exhausted, unlike his usual appearance.
"Y/n? No, I haven't actually. If they were here, I would hear them coming from miles away. First of all, take a good look at yourself. What happened to you? What did I say about taking care of yourself?" Tighnari said, scolding Cyno at the end.
"I just talked to them a few days ago. Where have they gone... to..."
Cyno's words trailed off as he slowly falls forward. Tighnari who quickly knew what's going on, caught Cyno who had fainted.
"H-hey...! Cyno, stay with me now. Oh, crud. Collei!"
The aforementioned Trainee Forest Ranger came out from her hiding place and came over to her mentor.
"Yes, Master Tighnari? *gasp* The General Mahamatra?! What happened?" Collei asked.
" *sigh* He has overworked himself, and it seems that this isn't the first time he's been in this situation. Why do you have to worry me like this...? Ahem, sorry for rambling to myself... Help me out here."
The sound of the General Mahamatra stirring in bed caught Tighnari and Collei's attention. He finally came to his senses after passing out earlier.
"I see that you're finally awake. How are you feeling?" Tighnari asked.
"Feeling like shit actually..."
Tighnari quickly swatted Cyno's arm that was covering his face and went to grab a glass of water.
"Please don't use that kind of language, especially around Collei. Luckily she didn't hear you. Here, drink some water."
Tighnari helped Cyno get up to drink some water. He then continued his lecturing session, "This is what you get for overworking yourself. I've reminded you many times, on multiple occasions, to take care of yourself. Could you please stop making other people worry about you?"
Cyno was silently contemplating his actions. Tighnari is right, he has troubled a lot of people. Does that mean, he has troubled you too? Cyno then confessed something he had never told Tighnari before.
"Tighnari, Y/n once told me that they were often ridiculed of by other scholars for dating me. Some said that their graduation was made easy because they are the General Mahamatra's significant other, others say their works are not purely their own but are accepted because of that too. They must have felt the pressure of dating someone with a high title like me. Haveโhave I troubled them too? Have they withdrew from this relationship because of me?"
"Cyno, I don't believe Y/n is that kind of person. They are devoted to you and appreciates who you are. Think about it. You can't be giving up hope, Cyno. This isn't like you!" Tighnari tried to reason with him.
"If that's their decision, then I have no other choice but to respect it. I don't blame them for breaking up with me either."
Tighnari was silent hearing Cyno's words, he sympathized with him. He didn't know what else to say to cheer him up. So, Tighnari committed himself to find out about your whereabouts.
"I'm heading out, but I won't be back for a few days. Collei, I trust you to take care of Cyno. If he moves an inch off the bed, guess I'll have to tie him to it."
"It's not like I'm planning on moving anyways..."
Tighnari sighed before leaving his hut. Collei, who had been silent all this time, was confused about what to do after her Master left her. Until Cyno opened the conversation.
"You've been quiet all this time. Does my presence even my name alone remind you of the sealing process too much?"
"Ah! Uhh... I... Yeah, it does..." Collei answered nervously.
" *sigh* Forgive me, but there was no other way to seal away the god's remains in your body. It must have been an unthinkably painful process."
"No no, you don't need to apologize. Matter of fact, I'm the one who's supposed to apologize... and thanking you. I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused you... and, thank you for bringing me back from Mondstadt to Sumeru and finding me a safe place to stay."
For once in his life, Cyno's usual stern face softened (which was really out of character for the serious General Mahamatra). He even asked Collei to come closer to him.
Cyno reached out his hand and started stroking Collei's head, giving her a pat once in a while.
"It was very admirable of you."
Tighnari had arrived at Sumeru City, and just as he remembered it was very loud and crowded.
"Ugh... it's so loud! I want to go home so bad... But not now Tighnari, you're already committed to finding Y/n. Maybe I can use this crowd to my advantage..." he mumbled to himself.
So Tighnari began to deliberately "search" for conversations about you, the amount of times he had apologized silently for eavesdropping on conversations he shouldn't have heard was countless. But then, he overheard a conversation about you coming from the direction of Puspa Cafรฉ.
"What's the matter, my lady? You seem restless lately..."
"Oh, Dehya... It's just that, Y/n hasn't been visiting lately and I'm worried something might have happened to them."
Ah, bingo. That's the conversation he wanted to hear. Assured he had found the right person, Tighnari came up to them.
"Excuse me."
Tighnari's greeting made them both turn their heads.
"I apologize for eavesdropping on your conversation earlier. But, are you two familiar with a scholar named Y/n?"
(Another time skip brought to you by le author :P)
"I see. So you too have Eleazar, Miss Dunyarzad. May I ask, how did you get to know Y/n in the first place?" Tighnari then asked.
"Well, we first met at Lambad's Tavern. At that time, I was eating alone, secretly hoping Dehya would join me."
"Wait, you were hoping... I would join you...? My lady..." Dehya murmured but was still heard by Tighnari, causing him to smile a little. Dunyarzad smiled too.
"And at that moment, Y/n entered the tavern. They ordered their food and looked for a place to sit. They might have noticed the sad expression on my face so they went to sit next to me."
(A flashback that's written from Dunyarzad's POV)
"Excuse me. I'm sorry but I can't help but notice the sad look on your face. Mind if I sit here to accompany you?"
"Oh, um... No, not at all. Please, have a seat."
Actually, I just remembered, Y/n was sitting across from me. Not beside me. They then put an unfamiliar plant on the table. Coincidentally, the food that Y/n ordered was served at the same time.
"Here you go, Y/n. An order of my famous Lambad Fish Roll. I see you got a new plant again, what is it this time?" Lambad, the tavern owner asked.
"It's a Small Lamp Grass, I'm sure you've seen it during your travels in Mondstadt. I'm just wondering if this plant will glow in a dark room or does it only glow at night. Also, I found out that it can be used as a cooking ingredient to enhance other flavors."
"Hahaha, of course! I've seen them before, it's been a while though. Say, do you have any more of these Small Lamp Grass? I want to experiment with them for my cooking," Lambad said.
"I have some still growing back at my residence. Maybe I can give you some and you give me something in return?"
"Aha! You've got a deal there, kid. Enjoy your fish roll!"
I've only been paying attention to Y/n's conversation with Lambad, and I realized how close they are. I also want to have a friend like them.
"You grow plants at your residence?" I asked.
"Yup, I am an Amurta graduate from the Akademiya. And now, I'm researching plants from all over Teyvat. I have a lot of plants at home, would you like to see them?"
(Flashback and Dunyarzad's POV ends)
"Since that day, Y/n has given me many plants and flower over the course of their visit. I'm worried for them and their plants back home, no one has been taking care of the plants if they're missing."
"Hmm..."
Tighnari thought long and hard as to what he was going to do. Until he came up with a plan that might help.
"Alright, I might have a plan. So we will..."
The General Mahamatra has returned to Sumeru City after a few days' stay in Gandharva Ville. Collei has made sure that he was in good condition and allowed him to leave. It's strange that Tighnari hasn't come back yet. Hmm...
He decided to take a walk in the Grand Bazaar. At first he went there to take his mind off things. But then, he saw something he thought he wouldn't ever see again.
"Y/n...?"
Cyno couldn't believe his eyes. He saw your figure walking with someone in the Grand Bazaar. His instinct immediately told him to run to you.
"Are you sure you don't need anything else?"
"No, I'm fine Dehya..."
"Are you really sure? You know my lady wouldn't be happy if anything else happened to you."
"I'm 100% sure, Dehya. I'm fi--"
"Y/n?"
Suddenly you heard a call of your name and felt a strong grip on your arm. You turn to look at the person and it's Cyno, the General Mahamatra who is also your boyfriend.
"Cyno..."
"Hah, there you are. You can thank me later for saving them. And also a friend of yours by the name of Tighnari, you can thank him too. I'll see you around, and make sure you keep an eye on your significant other," Dehya said before leaving.
Cyno and you stayed in place for a while. You're happy to see him again, while he has mixed feelings.
"Y/n, I need to talk to you. Let's go somewhere quieter."
"O-oh, okay. Lead the way."
Cyno took your hand in his and took you to a place with far less people.
"So what do you want to talk about... Cyno?"
He froze on the spot for a while before suddenly hugging you tightly, bringing you down to the floor with him.
"Cyno... Aww, it's okay... Shhh, I'm here now. No one will hurt me again."
It took a while for you to completely calm him down. You admit it's the first time you've seen him so vulnerable. The normally serious, curt and stoic Cyno, striking fear into the hearts of researchers of the Akademiya is now so fragile in your arms.
"Where have you gone? What happened? Tell me everything," he asked.
"I... don't know, I can't seem to remember much. But from what Tighnari and Dehya said, they said I was kidnapped."
"Who kidnapped you? Tell me who they are so I can hunt them down."
"I don't know either. Dehya said they were just a few Eremites, but they didn't know why they were targeting me. Maybe they thought that kidnapping the General Mahamatra's significant other can make them easy money, or it could be something else."
Cyno sighed, "It's fine, what matters is that you are here now. I swear if I ever run into them, I'll beat them up mercilessly."
His threat somehow made you laugh as Cyno kissed your forehead.
"I love you."
"I love you too."

[Clarification Post]
If you have seen this unfinished post, I need to apologize for the mistake I made. For some reason I can't seem to change the setting for it to post privately (like I did for an unfinished Dainsleif x Reader fic, yes I wrote one), so this might have to stay on here until I have copied everything. So sorry for the inconvenience.
Hello, I'm a little confused by your request rules but I'm quite sure you write for cyno? If not you can write it for tighnari. Anyways, I was wondering if I could request cyno with a s/o who went missing pretty far into their relationship and cyno thought they left bc they wanted to break up but then one day cyno sees them walking around with another person. Turns out they were kidnapped all that time. Perhaps angst to fluff? Sorry if this request doesn't make sense :)

"It looks even prettier under the moonlight! It's not so useless after all that I take care of this flower."
Okay, so what? Cyno just happens to fall in love with a student who loves flowers.
Oh boy...
