WHAT IS MESMALIE ,???

MESMALIE is an occult visual novel / point & click adventure in which you attempt to tame your newfound Magickal ability under the guidance of a small Witches' coven in the middle of nowhere. Heed Mesmer's aloof teachings, strengthen your Magick, or just go home,,,

How long will the full game be?

The demo is at least 1/4 of the full game. The full game will contain three sessions (the First Session from the demo + 2 others), plus a whole bunch of inbetween moments, and different routes. The next 2 Sessions are longer than the first, too.

When will the game be done?

I can't give an exact date as of writing, but I do believe I can finish this game in a year, lest things pop up in real life. That's not a promise though,!!!, I'll of course communicate a potential release as I get further in development.

How much is done beyond the demo?

As of August 2, 2025, I have most of the bigger chunks of dialogue written, and all important bits planned out (narratively and gameplay-wise). The "full" soundtrack is complete (read: all important scenes are scored, but I may make more small songs for specific moments). Game-wise, I've began properly implementing the Second Session and its main gameplay gimmick.

Where can I get the game when it's done?

The full game will likely be on both Steam and Itch when it's done! In fact, I'm in the process of setting up a Steam page, where the demo will be available as well, so please do check in later if you're interested in wishlisting it!

"average Spider-Man has 5 shoulders" factoid actualy just statistical error. average Spider-Man has 2 shoulders. Spiders Man, who lives on Earth-11580 & has 10,448,976 shoulders, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

On August 2 I'll be releasing a short demo for my game MESMALIE, an occult hybrid visual novel/point & click adventure!

The demo will release itch.io (Windows only, for now), and will contain roughly 20-30 minutes of playtime, and 13 musical tracks that I composed.

I'll post about it again when it happens so you can forget about this post for now, hahae

Anyways, may as well introduce everyone HERE to Maddie proper, too!

Madeline Tracy Attaway (initializing to M.T.A.), a.k.a. "Miss Subways", is the result of me straight-up taking a one-off character created nearly a century ago for an advertisement and doing something with her.

The ad in question? Why, it's for the Miss Subways beauty pageant, of course!

I saw this ad while perusing the New York Transit Museum ( @nytransitmuseum ) one day and just became captured by how cute this character art was -- pretty lady in a polka-dotted dress, painting the sign on the ad. It's rather unfortunate that I couldn't figure out who "Lyons", the original illustrator, was.

Regardless, in my interp, she's not simply a pretty face — I like to imagine her as a transit educator of sorts; someone who goes out and tells folks all about how the subway system (among other transit systems/networks/projects) works, and all its history and all its possible futures. Very big on advocacy and outreach.

I hope to do more with her soon!
