I would like to continue to update you on the situation in Gaza after several months. Today, December 19, 2024, it has been more than 224 days since the devastating attack on Rafah and more than 440 days of the war on Gaza. Our suffering, as I described, is still immeasurable. For months we have been living in extremely difficult conditions. There is no safe place in Gaza.

I remain hopeful that the border from Gaza to Egypt in Rafah will soon be reopened. I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for standing by us during this difficult time and for your positive impact on the lives of those affected. I am Mahmoud Al Sharif, married and have 3 children. My wife gave birth to a newborn baby on August ,12 ,2024.

‎‏We are from the Gaza Strip, which suffers from wars. I lived through 5 of these wars, and I lost my eyes and fingers hand , and my other eye was damaged. These were the previous wars until this 2023 war came and destroyed everything from my home and my workplace.

Help save Mahmoud's family

Mahmoud (@mahmoud-sharif), Soha, and their three children (Retal, Joud, and Nageh) are trapped in the Gaza Strip in the midst of the ongoing Israeli genocide. Soha is in the late stages of pregnancy and has no access to the care she needs, and Mahmoud needs treatment for injuries to his eyes and hands he has sustained in this and previous conflicts. Their home has been destroyed and they have been displaced numerous times, enduring unimaginable hardship. They are now trying to raise $60,000 to evacuate to Egypt, access the medical care they desperately need, and rebuild their lives. As of today (9 August 2024), they have only received $4,294.
