Aight nerds, have another chapter. I really struggled with this one, but I like how it turned out in the end! Big thanks to my frens for listening to me bitch about this all week XD. Snippet below the cut!

Link looked up as the rest of the Chain entered the common area, led by Warriors. Surprise splashed across most of their faces, besides the Captain and Legend, of course. Wild perked up from the back, pushing his way through and flopping on the couch next to him.

He’d been attempting to read through the process of life essence extraction that Midna had scribbled down, but his mixed understanding of Twilin had become a problem. He’d taken to marking words he didn’t understand with a piece of charcoal for later.

“Hey, Twi. You’ve been gone since yesterday. What have you been doing?” the champion asked, leaning over and scanning the symbols on the parchment.

Warriors coughed into his fist conspicuously. Link didn’t acknowledge that, even if he was still buzzing with a lingering, bone-deep satisfaction.

He and Midna had ordered an early lunch after their lengthy celebration, where he’d accidentally scared the shit out of the servant dropping off the food.

Having opened the door without much thought while Midna was still floating in the bath, he’d come face to face with the same young maid who he’d asked for directions earlier.

She’d squeaked in surprise, eyes flicking over his half-dressed state before he realized how he looked. Not that the implications were wrong, exactly. Midna had been thorough with her carefully applied marks, leaving him aching pleasantly in a few key areas, but nowhere his high collar wouldn’t normally cover. Unfortunately, he’d been in his pants and undershirt and some of the marks had been on vibrant display.

The poor girl had flushed to her hairline, stuttered out an apology and shoved the tray at his chest before fleeing. He’d warned Midna, just in case it was important to her position as Queen, but she’d just laughed and kissed him.

Shaking off the memory, he folded up the letter and tucked it into his pouch, waving them in.

“Alright, come sit down. I want you to meet someone later but y’all gotta behave, ya hear me?”

Immediately, he had the attention of every one of them. Legend’s eyebrows ticked up as they filed in, settling in the couch and armchairs in front of the fire, while Time leaned on the hearth.

Fantober Day 10: Cozy Scene

Adventuring takes a lot of work, and the hero of twilight and the twilight princess are no exceptions. Sometimes after a long day of running through Hyrule field, what one really needs is a good night's rest by a warm fire.

Drawing Link's face patterns was fun to do. Drawing Midna's helmet was...less fun. But it's nice to finally have a reason to draw these two, I don't remember if I've ever actually done so.

no more cold and calculating i want warm and calculating. i want characters who use deductive reasoning to figure out whether their friend would like a wool or cotton quilt based off of their lifestyle, career, hobbies, and habits. i want "your nails are often chipped because you work for a law firm as a typist for this company which notoriously underbudgets their IT department, so ive bought you a keyboard cover that will not only prevent manicure damage but is also sensory friendly because I know you dislike certain clicking noises". i want characters who figure out their friends entire schedules and social battery levels just by examining who only use that info to know when the best time is to hang out with them. i want characters who create elaborate, supervillain level schemes just to get their hands on some collectible they know their best friend wants. most of all i want characters who do not use intelligence and reasoning skills as a reason to be cruel but as a means to be kind
