“Sure, right, I bet” He couldn’t believe her and that was the reason behind his laugh. Shaking his head and fixing his hair, Lije tried to keep a serious face, but the grin was unavoidable and honestly, this was the most fun he had had in weeks “Unbelievable" he mumbled, trying really hard not to laugh “Sweetheart, trust me...” He leaned forward, ignoring the stares that burned his back, only to whisper in her hear “I am better than any guy you’ve been with.” Yeah, he was either going to hell or jail after today.
“Some strangers seem to have a strong liking for my, quote unquote, kinky stuff. But in actuality, I was talking about my parents scolding me for being a disappointing brat rather than….whatever your perverted brain thought. They like to keep it private because they don’t want to damage their pristine reputations more than I already do by simply being their daughter,” Ren smiled, the apples of her cheeks glowing with a false innocence as she tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. She was most certainly referencing other acts than her parents, but she just wanted to frustrate him. Cerulean eyes surely noticed the strange glances of other patrons upon them, but it was nothing she wasn’t used to. The girl had draped herself over the laps of men older than this one in bars in the center of the public eye. An interaction such as this one couldn’t harm her reputation too much, depending on where it led, that is. While he kept advancing, Ren kept her feet planted, trying to obnoxiously remain in his way. Let them always come to you, Darien- never lift a finger. “Well, I’ll give you that one… I also won’t deny the nicknames aren’t appealing…But, I usually try to avoid guys with an ego bigger than their…” Suggestively, her eyes dropped downwards, then back up- a childish giggle leaving the smaller girl. “-y’know.”

“Well, your kinky stuff is really not something you should discuss with others in public, especially strangers” Elijah laughed, despite his intent to act like a jerk to the girl. He couldn’t help it, and even if he could feel a few eyes on them, he took a step closer; she was going to back down first, he would make sure of it “Close, but me being older is not a problem for you, if you like to be called brat and all, is it?”
“Anytime,” The blonde girl responded with a boisterous grin, taking a moment to observe him and tuck her lip between her teeth before she laughed at his word choice. “Usually, when I hear the term brat, it isn’t in a… public setting- but I’ll take it.” Ren’s lips, suggestively, curled up into a wicked smirk- brows raising on the plane of her forehead as she shifted her weight onto her one hip. “’Sure not a grown-up’ am I.” Ren clarified with a roll of her eyes; As if that’s stopped her before. “If only I could say the same for you; you’re ancient. Lemme guess, you’re like, what? 62? 63?

“Las Vegas, Nevada” He smiled, saying ‘thanks’ and walking into the shop. The smell was his favorite thing, even if Starbucks did not smell like coffee that much. Carefully avoiding other bodies, Lije made his way to the line, walking lightly, and ready to jump out of the way to avoid an accident. “Well, I’m always told I order chick drinks ‘cause I’m not a big fan of coffee but, the frappuccinos are heaven in a cup”
“Oh nice.” Noah smiled. “From where?” The boy lead the way getting to the starbucks and opening the door for the other man. “It’s been forever since I’ve been here. Anything you recommend?”

“Works great, thank you for your concern” He said with a wink, forgetting the reason he was at the shop in the first place. “Self-entitled, narcissistic little brat fits you better. Bitch is only for grown-ups” He moved forward, until he was facing the girl with a raised eyebrow. “And you sure are not a grown-up”
The girl couldn’t help it as an amused grin replacing the distasteful frown as she raised a curious brow at the other. “I guess not,” she replied with a slight laugh, tilting her head as if observing him. “Though, not sure how well it’s going to work for you….” The girl was clearly lying, as the man before her was certainly eye-candy, but she wouldn’t dare spoon-feed his ego. “Not sure how to take that, but being the self-entitled, narcissistic, little bitch I am; I’ll assume it’s a compliment, so thank you.”

“No, I mean, I did get out of Vegas but, like, in school trips and stuff. I was talking about not getting out of the States till I was about eighteen” He clarified, raising his hand, palms up, like he was trying to stop her words. He had to pay for the trip himself, but it had been completely worth it. “I went to the Bahamas and that’s pretty much it.”
“I get it. It’s hard to talk about events that mark you, I know but, it’s worse not to talk about them” He kept looking at her, trying to decipher everything, from the way she moved to the way she talked. She was not used to talking to people but, if she was a waitress, she had to have good people skills and funnily enough, those were the ones that always bottled up their feelings. “No, I’m good at listening, I like listening so if you are shutting up, it will be because you want to.”
A slight smile tugged on Aurora’s lips as he spoke. “So this is your first time out of Vegas?” She asked, trying not to sound too surprised. Before her parents had died, they were avid travellers and Aurora had been lucky enough to see several countries. She decided that she would travel too, once she straightened herself out.
She sighed, lying back on the grass, her blonde curly hair pooling around her as she looked at the clouds. “I just never have talked about it before. At least, not with anyone other than a therapist. Talking about it just makes it real again, you know?” She sighed, an absent smile on her face again; “feel free to shut me up at any time.”

“Wow, you still got a lot of hell to get through” Elijah couldn’t help but laugh, shaking his head “But, once you graduate, you are free and you can start studying what you like. Kind of.”
“I figured. High school is hell, so it can only get worse.” She giggled. “No, I’m fourteen, so I’m in ninth grade.”

The first thing we said when we met was that we felt like we’d known each other forever. You were so kind. You had so much love. I pray you’re in a better place.

“I know, that’s why I said it” With a roll of his eyes, Lije started moving again and stopped halfway, spinning around like he was dancing instead of walking. Fine, if she already labeled him as a jerk, he was going to act like one. “Personality doesn’t matter when you are this pretty...” He said, pointing at himself and then at the girl, looking her up and down “...You should know.”
“Very lucky for you,” Ren responded with a sarcastic laugh and roll of her eyes before sliding over out of his way, but not leaving his field of vision. “You know, being an asshole isn’t going to get you very far, pretty boy, especially not with women…” Then, with a smirk, she added; “Or men, if that’s how you roll.”

Elijah tapped the girl’s shoulder, pointing at the cup of water that a guy had spilled on the table a few seats from her and that was getting dangerously close to her work. “It’s gonna get ruined.”
She moved the pen across the paper in front of her. Little strokes with her right. There wasn’t anything particular that she was drawing. The lines didn’t add up to anything. She was just looking for something to distract herself. Anything to distract herself. It wasn’t working though, evident by the way the fingers of her left hand were tapping nervously against the table.
“Oh man…this is not working.”

“Luckily for me, no.” Elijah answered with a fake smile “Now move, you are in the way.”
“Excuse me?…I’m sorry- Have we met before?”

“Very American” He shrugged “Moved here like two weeks ago.”
Elijah followed obediently, dying to get his hands on a Starbucks cup as soon as possible. The day was sunny and he was starting to feel it; with a swift motion, he took off his hoodie with a content sigh. Ah, how he loved tank tops.
“Well, I’m not in that stage of my life yet.” He joked, stepping carefully to not get too ahead or behind the guy.
“Yeah it’s nineteen in most the provinces ‘cept for Quebec they are eighteen.” Noah explained. “You from America or something?” He questioned.
“Ah, I know a few adults that are regulars at the small bar in town at this hour.” He laughed. “Alright, it’s this way.” He started walking up towards the main street.

“Smart girl. College is hell” He pointed the drink at her, like he was revealing some kind of big secret. “Also, aren’t you a little bit young to complain about high school?”
“I don’t even want to think about college, at least not yet.” She said, shaking her head.
