Top 5 Marina moments (and why?)

It's been a difficult task to narrow all my favorite moments to just 5 (nearly impossible, really) but I decided to pick the ones that were the most significant to me. So, in no particular order:

Maya and Carina fulfilling their long time dream of getting Carina pregnant and growing their family. Showing reciprocal IVF on television was incredibly important and I am very happy we got to see a small part of the process.

This entire scene makes me ridiculously happy. The way they are so content dancing in each other's arms, blissed out, about to get married. It's just beautiful and it makes my heart flutter.

My heart breaks for Maya, it does, but there's something about this scene that is just incredibly compelling. Their chemistry, the eye contact, Carina's nod says "I've got you" and the dam breaks. Carina's arms are Maya's safe place; no more running. It's beautiful.

Okay who doesn't absolutely adore this scene? The domesticity, the softness, the 7 kisses, the eye contact... This is quintessential Marina - it's love, it's softness, it's comfort, it's HOME.

The beautiful, beautiful moment when Maya confirms that she not only wants Carina to have everything she desires, but that she also wants what Carina wants: a baby to hold and to love, together. "I wanna have another version of you that I can count my blessings on." UGH my heart.

And I have to give a special mention to scenes like their meeting in 3x05, the spicy bed scene in 7x09, the marriage proposal, the lasagna scene in 3x07, and the scene in 6x15 where Maya reassures Carina that she's all in: "From the first time that I saw you at that bar, you were the person that I wanted to call." PLEASE!

So these are my top 5 Marina moments right now. They will probably change next week, or something, because so many of their scenes are significant and magical.

There will never be another couple like them, which is why I'm on the #MarinaSpinoff train. At this point, the setup is just perfect, and we are losing every bit of representation on television. And hell, I want them back!
