when they meet En Sabah Nur. they don't even glance back at charles and hank. not even for a moment. they forgot they were there. there's a mystery to solve and they look to each other for companionship in these strange new times. It's not necessarily one of their soft, 'i love you' looks, but there's something deeply familiar about it. It's very communicative and honestly kind of fun! It feels natural, like they are each other's rocks right now.

The last scene ever of the DCEU, closing out its mystifying 10-year fever-dream of an existence as a thing that was supposed to be a cultural force but which never seemed to become one, is a shot of a man putting a live cockroach on a cheeseburger and eating it, and I'm not really sure what to make of that.
