To all my followers: (IMPORTANT)

Hello Everyone! I emerge from the shadows to tell you a very important thing that is about to happen in Europe and it's gonna affect all our fellow European artists (me included).

A new copyright law just got approved in the Europian parliament and it's not good. Social media platforms might be shut down in Europe and all the content that I have provided in years might be erased from the web.

Basically (as I understood so I really hope I'm mistaken), the law states that all artists will have to pay a fee to put the copyright on each and every one of their drawings (if posted online), made by their own hands, even the simplest sketches, or else the art will be considered a violation of copyright and put down.

Fan-arts won't be allowed anymore unless the copyright owner of such characters/series states publicly that we are allowed to produce fan arts of them.

The law got approved one week ago and I'm really scared at the moment.

As I said, I might lose everything I've been working for in the past years.

I mainly live on commissions so if my accounts disappear all of a sudden, please contact me to my personal email: martinafari@hotmail.it

0. THE FOOL

UPRIGHT: Beginnings, innocence, spontaneity, a free spirit REVERSED: Holding back, recklessness, risk-taking

Individually, they are dangerous. They’ve suffered. They’ve survived.

They are Fools, risking a chance to be happy for however long they can.

Together, they are unstoppable. And they will go down fighting.

The Fool is a card of new beginnings, opportunity and potential. The Inquisitor offers the Mercenary a new chance in life, a chance to be loyal to her purpose. The Mercenary offers the Inquisitor a new chance at happiness and companionship, and eventually, a chance to have a family.

A great risk for two who would be considered enemies, but one neither regrets. It’s unknown territory for them both, facing the future together. They allow each other a chance to be human, despite whatever doubts they harbor about the fact.

Both are individuals used to acting recklessly, however. They have little care for their own lives (for different reasons), willing to fight to the death for that which they believe in. This makes them a powerful but unpredictable force - especially when their partner is threatened.

I had the utmost pleasure of working with @mafumafuriah after a long, and worthwhile wait on their waiting list. I’ve been quietly admiring all the tarots they’ve done as both a fan of their ability to capture symbolism and composition, and as a fan of DA.

            x. The Wheel of Fortune           Destiny - Change - Cycle of Life

Months of waiting for a slot of granted me this amazing opportunity to get this piece from @mafumafuriah who is one of my favorite artists. Dragon Age Inquisition is a game that I have loved and adored for so long, so to have this piece of Lin is just amazing. The character has come a long way from her initial incarnation, and I don’t expect her to stop growing and changing even as I continue to play ffxiv. That’s why I chose this major arcana card for her to represent.

VI. The Lovers || Fray Myste & X’shasi Kilntreader

love • unions • partnerships • relationships • choices • romance • balance • unity

“She was the person I wanted to protect most in this world. When you find someone like that—someone you would give anything to save—your hearts are connected so deeply that there can be no barriers between you.”

For me The Lovers has always been a card about virtuous choice, and what one values, and what happens when you find unconditional acceptance. Shasi and Fray are not romantically linked, but they are, in a way, soulmates, and this is their first time communing.

@mafumafuriah did such a wonderful job capturing my vision of these two! If you get the chance, I highly recommend working with her! I am already looking forward to commissioning her again. ♥

These two stunning tarot cards are by the fantastic @mafumafuriah! I had ten billion stray ideas and I’m so impressed by how she distilled them down to the heart of both characters. I love the hints of pain with Kowa’s levin-scars and the blood on her dress paired with how at ease she feels manipulating the heavens. I love Esen’s smug expression and body language against the fire imagery that runs through her narrative. And I adore that both of their Afrocentric features are rendered so well - having their faces and hair look the way they do was something important to me that she absolutely nailed.

There was a time,  When I came upon a thought I knew,  But I realised then, that it was as foreign to me as you. What person could understand this thought of mine, Yet it rests within us all, like some grand design. And when you deign to think too much, You find your heart, and you begin to clutch. 

There was a time, When I came upon a place I knew, But it was empty and tinted blue. I realised then, it was a place I had never seen, Even though I somehow perceived, that in its depths lay things obscene. I strove to break, and ruin and rebuild, But the act of which, left me still unfulfilled. 

There was a time, When I came upon a man I knew, His eye was red, and his words were true. I realised then, that it was no man but me, And through my own eyes did I forsee, That unknowable place, and the thought I held, I knew exactly what they spelled. 

It came to me, in that time, A new thought, that was wholly mine, When the rest is forgotten or lost or gone. When the world fades around you, And you don’t know all you thought you knew, That when all is ruined and decayed,  That a man must die, to be remade.

Thank you so much @mafumafuriah for bringing this piece to life when I only had a blurry concept in my mind for it. Anika’s design might’ve changed quite a bit since her initial look portrayed here but it was a pleasure working with you and I look forward to commission again in the future <3

This piece contains spoilers for Code Vein’s good/true end and is supposed to portrait the bond between Anika and Io. It represents sacrifice, a new beginning but also an unbreakable connection.
