Long Story Short. I moved to Florida. But I have found a new Wildlife Hospital to volunteer my time at for now. Only sad thing is they are VERY strict in not having your cell phones out. So that means I can't take as many pictures as I use to :(

A yr and a half ago I left everything and everyone I knew for an internship in another state. I spent money out of my own pocket to get rabies vaccinated to work with a range of animals I had no idea if I was going to enjoy. Turns out I do enjoy it and I fell in love with Raccoons. So I got a raccoon tattoo to always remember this turning point in my life ❤ Huge thank you to @sailorholly at @777tattoos for giving me my first tattoo! Great experience!

We released 9 fawns back into the wild last week!

Ok. So this was a fun night at the animal hospital. I was downstairs feeding raccoons and an intern came down stairs to tell us a good upstairs in the bird room was bleeding alot. So I head upstairs to see the horror seen above. It looked like a murder scene! Mr. Goose broke his blood feathers (on each side!) And was flapping around his enclosure. The blood never clotted so he just kept bleeding. We got a hold of him cleaned him up and we also put some quick-stop on the end of his tips to help finally stop the bleeding. We wrapped him up so there was padding if he decided to keep flapping around. (He seemed calm after he was wrapped up) there was so much blood everywhere!

Gosling came in with a huge tumor on his head. It went all the way into his jaw which dislocated it. The poor thing was going into shock and was having seizures. We put him down to end his misery. He didn't have an eye where the tumor was either. Poor thing :(

Raccoon came in with a hole in his side. Too big to be a bullet hole. It looks like something was eating away at his skin and bone.

We have had a lot of medical anomalies at the wildlife hospital this year. Will post pictures soon
