A little update TWIMC
Hi everyone, just a little update: I know it's been a while since I released any new music; this is due to hardware issues which restrict my music making ability to the point that it's not practicable. So, buy new hardware and get on with it, right? Well, yes and no. After careful research, I concluded that the timing to buy new hardware is not ideal at this moment; rather, next year will be the ideal time. Hence the long drought. I'm anxious to get back at it, so no worries there. In the meantime I did, however, dive into another area of interest, namely, photography, and I will use this blog to post some images from my hometown and my travels.

In Die Ferne's recently released the first track of his side-project JDP (Japanese Death Poems), and the longform ambient track immediately struck me as a mirror image of my own longform ambient track Vostok Station. Both had been shelved for a long time before being released, both are almost one hour in length, both are icy tracks, and with Greenland and Vostok station being on opposite sides of the globe, Greenland near the north pole and Vostok station near the South pole, it seemed like a perfect match for a split album, and so contact was made, and In Die Ferne agreed it was a great idea. And so, this split album was born.

At long last released my heart of winter track entitled "Vostok Station." It's been in the pipeline since 2013, but somehow never got to the release stage. It's been my personal favorite track ever since. Hope you enjoy it.

My aim is to release that album around november this year. In the meantime, February should see the release of an ice-cold, album-sized drone track I've been hoarding for way too long, and this summer might see another album release which I completed in the summer of 2015. In short, keep an eye out for my SC, Bandcamp, etc., because it could get busy :)

Just wrapping up getting my new album mastered at Black Knoll Studio. Pretty excited about this release. Still have to look around for a label to try and get it released and still have to come up with some decent album art, but production-wise it's done.

Released the first of 2 space themed ambient tracks today, which were both produced in 2013. The original intention was to create a space themed album, and I still very much like the idea, but for now other ideas are taking prominence over this. I recently "rediscovered" them on my disk, and felt it would be a waste not to release them, while at the same time thinking that the more time would pass, the less it would represent the current state of my productions, hence the release. Mastering these was like dusting off an old item stored away in a box on the attic; I polished it as best as I could, but some of the more persistent tarnish couldn't be removed. Let it be part of the charm.

Just released a new single called Hypochondriac. Album's on hold for now because it has a summer vibe, and musically, I operate very much by mood, so this single is coming inbetween to bridge the gap a bit. I'm also still planning to finish an album sized track for february. Anyway enjoy the track, I hope you like it.

Been busy working on a new album for the past 3 weeks now, it's coming along nicely. Pretty excited about it. Hadn't originally planned for this album at all, as I already had a couple of other releases waiting to be finished, but sometimes you just have to go with the flow I guess, especially when you have taken the name Swollen River...
