Lisa Marie Martinez, our hero, hails from the treacherous and unlivable region known as Upstate New York. As a babe, she managed to harness the pure power of the illustrative arts, and wielded her pencil like Zeus did his fabled bolt of lightning. After four long years of intense, gruelling instruction with the greatest masters in the arts, Lisa has stepped out into the world like an unstoppable wave. With pure talent and debonair good looks, she is ready to conquer any challenge placed in her path. She is truly a goddess among men.

Here’s a quick gouache sketch of Margaery Tyrell! I tried to base her looks off of the book descriptions rather than Natalie Dormer’s flawless face. I’m gonna miss Margaery in the upcoming episodes.
Happy season 7 everyone!

I have a somewhat bipolar relationship with gouache.
Anyway! Here is an illustration for Shakespeare’s Sonnet 130. I love the idea of Shakespeare writing lovely poems about about this unattractive woman that he can’t help but like.

Sabriel, entering the Old Kingdom for the first time. When trying to think of scenes to draw from this book, this one in particular stood out to me. I like the idea of Sabriel entering this world she knows nothing about, and being completely underprepared. I would’ve liked her to seem smaller, though. This is one I’ve been meaning to redo. But I like it all the same.
