Do not listen to Chappell Roan!!
This post is not meant to hate on Chappell in any way, I just want to share my opinion from a Christian point of view. And take this post as more of a suggestion and make the decision for yourself if listening to her would be good for you to do or not.
I had heard of Chappell for a while (being a 17 year old and all lol) so I decided to listen to her album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. The whole album rubbed me the wrong way with the queer messages and how vulgar it all was. And as much as I liked Pink Pony Club, I just couldn’t get over it. After a bit of thinking, I Googled videos of Christians discussing her, and that’s when I found out that she was raised Christian and turned away from God! And in one of her performances she wore a sexy nun costume!! She purposely makes her music a rebellion against how she grew up.
Chappell tried for a long time to get famous but for a long time didn’t succeed. I believe that this was a sign from God that this was not the path for her. Then after she finally made it, she has had so many mental health problems from fame. Chappell is a good example of what happens when you stray away from God’s path.
This is someone that I just cannot support. And you shouldn’t either, but no hate if you choose to.
