Caitlyn losing her big brother, another death she couldn't even be there for herself. Vi is cursed to watch her loved ones get torn from her grasp, while Caitlyn is cursed to never know when they've been stolen from her hands.

Vi, who is haunted by the sight of her family's lifeless eyes, who can hear their screams with terrifying clarity, plagued by the same memories over and over. Caitlyn, who is haunted by the paintings of her own mind, who imagines endless versions of her loved ones' last moments because she'll never know, plagued by different horrors over and over.

Vi, who is terrified any time she and Caitlyn fight alongside one another, who feels her blood freeze with every second Caitlyn is in combat because not again.

i have this one friend at school that is so clearly media illiterate it’s insane, and not even in the way of “they made me mad by what they said about my favorite character” way, just the “oh my god they’re so fucking stupid why are they watching this show if they don’t understand”

like, i talk to them about arcane and they don’t like ANY character. they don’t like viktor bc he was better in season 1, they don’t like caitlyn bc she’s “whiny” and “annoying” and don’t even get me started on how much they call her ugly, at this point it feels like internalized misogyny. they don’t like jayce bc he’s annoying and ignorant, they don’t like mel bc she’s a little mean, they don’t like anyone but their favorite character is silco. like i would be telling them that silco is an awful guy and they’re one of his biggest dickriders, but at this point they don’t even have an argument bc they’re THAT media illiterate they can’t even defend him

they don’t give ANY good reasoning as to why they don’t like anyone, they just make it abundantly clear they watched the show without the capacity to even comprehend what was going on it makes me so angry, like why are you trying to get me to agree with your opinions when all you’re giving me is “they’re annoying”

like bring some media literacy into this and actually watch the show you clearly don’t understand

i hate to be that guy, but if you disagree with me about a character i am super attached to, i will immediately block you, not to be a bitch, but bc it genuinely makes me emotional to see my favorite character be so misinterpreted by the fandom it makes me so ill to see.

this is of course, me talking about caitlyn kiramman. she is my all time favorite arcane character, followed by jinx and honestly probably vi and mel (no order, i can’t bring myself to put them in order other than cait being my fave)

i hate the awful takes people have about it, it’s all about “don’t compare trauma” until it comes to her. and they misinterpret everything and bring shit that didn’t even happen into play so it just makes me angry. she’s my baby and i would die for her, don’t be stupid

man i love being a little nerd, not in anything cool like musicals, or smart people books or anything even remotely smart, no no, just silly things. i love video games, my favorite game is red dead redemption two, but ive been playing a lot of phasmophobia with my friend. i LOVE critical role with all my heart, even though ive only really been watching campaign three, but i plan to watch campaign two once three finishes. i love fantasy and sci-fi books, my favorite book series is the locked tomb and i was once an avid percy jackson enjoyer, and ill admit i also read warrior cats. my favorite superhero is spider-man and that is EXTREMELY prevalent if you step foot into my bedroom. i’m an 18 year old girl with a room filled with spider-man. my favorite movie is how to train your dragon, but i also love lord of the rings and star wars, and don’t even get me started on the hunger games. my favorite show is arcane and i haven’t been able to think of anything else since it finished. i can’t enjoy ANYTHING in a normal way
