In 2024, I'm making my practice more accessible.

You see this everywhere, I know, but there's never enough accessibility, especially when it comes to religion and spirituality! So lets list some ways I'm making this year easier on the spoons!

Easily moveable/cleanable/accessible altar spaces.

I do a lot of my rituals on the floor, so having easily moveable altars makes ritual times much more convenient. Not only this, that means cleaning my altars is much easier, so tending the spaces isn't near as difficult. One of my altars is also in a place I'm able to sit on the floor, however it's still elevated, this is my favorite place for spell casting!

Lowering my expectations.

90% of the reason my practice is so limited is because I expect so much from myself. I expect one page of research done, shadow work, deity work/worship. That's a lot for someone with so few spoons. If I expect less of myself, not only will it feel less like a chore, I'll be more impressed with what I accomplish.

Forgetting my nonsense rules.

Spells for silly stuff! Magick isn't just for when you're in need. Spells for smaller joys in life would make me happy so I'll do it!

Letting research, this blog, amd other things be devotional.

Devoting time to a deity has always built the best bonds between my deities and I, so why not let myself do it more often? Devoting time doesn't have to be boring or serious, it can be literally anything

Thats just a few things, you can do pretty much anything to make your practice more accessible to you, if it helps it helps!

Remember,

You are a practicing pagan. You don't have to do spell work everyday. You don't have to talk to your deities everyday. You don't have to spend every waking second focusing on your practice to be a valid pagan.

Your valid. No matter how often you're able to work with your deities. No matter how often you do spell work. No matter if you dedicate little or big things to your practice.

You make an effort once in awhile and thats more than enough. Save your spoons, it's ok.
