Woman as nature is the one who looks at half of all men and says NO. For men, that is a direct encounter with chaos and it occurs with devastating force every time they are turned down for a date. Woman’s proclivity to say no, more than any other force, has shaped our evolution into the creative, industrious, upright, large brained, competitive, aggressive, domineering creatures that we are. It is woman as nature who says, “You’re good enough to be my friend, but my experience with you, so far, has not indicated the suitability of your genetic material for continued propigation.” - JBP

“We experience much of our positive reactions in relation to goals. We’re not happy, technically speaking, unless we see ourselves progressing and the idea of progress implies value.” JBP

Midwife, matchmaker, our grandmother, our grandfather, Xpiyacoc, Xmucane,
Let there be planting, let there be dawning of our invocation,
our sustenance, our recognition by the human work, the human design
the human figure, the human form
Grandmother of day, grandmother of light - Popol Vuh

WISDOM
People often have the tendency to think that a belief in a meaningless reality produces negative emotions. That if life has no deeper meaning and your existence has no purpose then it is something worth being sad about. This is actually not the case. Quite the opposite! The negative emotions a person experiences are the result of a realization that life is meaningful. That you have the potential for fulfilling your purpose in life. Those feelings of sadness are knowing that you’re not reaching your potential to engage in meaningful activities. Because the opposite of sadness is happiness it is easy to conclude that the solution is engaging in more joyous activity. But people don’t ultimately want to be completely joyful all the time. It’s impossible first of all. Ultimately people would rather do things that benefit their family, then their community, and society now, tomorrow, a year from now, ten years from now, and so on. That is what living a meaningful life is all about. - DL

WISDOM
When you sin you can do one of two things
- you can say “I have made a mistake, I repent, let me go forward and do better.” - or you can do what 97% of people do which is explain to yourself for the rest of your life why what you did isn’t so bad and why the world is really different than what they say it is. If only they understood how you see the world they would see that there is no sin.
That is how the devil gets you. He gets you when you explain your sins away. - AK443

I was in a folk band called Moribundos and I wrote what was supposed to be a short opera about the life of a girl named Teresita who was always accompanied by the character of Death. Unfortunately the band had too many issues and had to break up. The story was never fully developed. The compositions were only half recored. The rest of the band never even heard most of the compositions. However, it would be a shame if I kept it hidden forever SO here it is.
