"I'm a damsel, but not the distressed kind, one who's very together and in complete control of her own destiny." twenty four years old. cis. fat. feminist. proud. girl bands are my political ideology. still learning life lessons from television. "perhaps you should speak to me more softly then. monsters are dangerous and, just now, kings are dying like flies."
During a recent visit, my eight year old niece informed me that she is being abused and neglected by her mother. She is regularly beaten, verbally abused, left to fend for herself for long periods of time, and subjected to days without food or bathing. […]
I’m proceeding with legal action to prove abuse and neglect, so that legal guardianship can be granted to other family members. Because these proceedings may take months, I’m also filing an emergency ex parte order to gain temporary custody while the case ensues. I’m raising funds to rent an apartment in the city where my niece lives, so I can provide her with safe housing and keep her daily life as stable as possible during the proceedings.
With your help I’ve raised $900 so far! Please consider donating. If you are unable to donate please share with your friends and family (on FB, Twitter, IG, etc)! Thank you so much!

My darling dear Lynx needs some help. She needs surgery to remove ALL of her teeth and replace them with dentures due to damage from stress. She’s done all that she can, but at this stage, the procedure is necessary. Her health is already being affected, and any delay will only make things worse. PLEASE signal boost. If you don’t want to donate, she does have commissions open! Just message her! Her username is @lynxieles. Even a signal boost will help and THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH to everyone for taking a moment to read.
I saw this on Facebook and went to check my registration status, sure it was fine because I voted recently, but I put in the info and it said I’m not registered
PLEASE, especially if you’re a Black voter, check your registration status at vote.org
I wasn’t asked to a single dance in high school and didn’t have a serious romantic relationship until I was 22. And like, yeah that shit hurt when I was younger. I had a lot of fears that I was unlovable and that I didn’t deserve to be happy. And every time I would try to talk to anyone about it, the conversation became, “you’ll find someone”, when it should have been, “you don’t need a relationship or a date, you’re lovable & complete & beautiful on your own”.
So yeah, please normalize young people not dating, and please stop shaming them for it. There’s more to life than romance, despite what the media wants us to think.
